Re: Pitcher/Catcher

We were spoiled having Jake Rogers.

Off subject: Had a great closer in Nick Peppiton. How cool were the years when TU had on their baseball roster both a Peppiton (nephew to eh legend), and DiMaggio (no family ties to Marilyn's ex).

... you do have less margin for error at a high dollar private like Tulane.
High Dolla' or Over Priced ?
The answer to that question is determined by whether or not you are a graduate of Tulane.
going forward everything is going to be Free...so I vote, over priced

Re: 2019 FB Schedule

UNC would be great, but my number 1 request would be Vandy. Never drew flies to Tulane Stadium when we were in SEC , aka The Toilet Bowl . We have SEC history with them, they are a southern peer university that I’m sure students have a lot of friends at, and gives us our best chance at beating an S...

Re: Best in State

I’d like to see a tournament determine it. Call it the “Louisiana Challenge”. Invite Tulane, LSU, UNO, ULL, SELA and La Tech to play in a weekend 2 bracket series with the winner of each side meet for the title. 'Dem T-i-g-g-g-e-r-s would never agree to such a thing. :shakingno: Southern beat LSU l...

Decade of the 60's schedule and results https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulane_Green_Wave_football,_1960%E2%80%9369 My lord, that 1960 record of 3-6-1 tells me Pilney just coul:d not get the team to go that extra yard. Great results overall and good defense back then. The tie against no. 5 Alabama sa...

Re: A Top 15 FB ranking you don’t want to have

1963 outside of Tulane Stadium, my Grandmother asked me to choose between the purple or green team flag on a pole. pennant . I chose green that day and the rest is history. Game started out 3-0 for the Greenies. Final: Purple 63, Greenies 3. History can be looong when you start from 1893. Funny you...

Re: A Top 15 FB ranking you don’t want to have

I think you’re thinking of the 1962 game where Tulane led at the half 3/0 then lost 38-3. I do think it was a final of 63-3 and in 63. Jaxwave, do you happen to have any site that shows that decades scores for TU-LSU at Tulane Stadium? It could have been 1961-1962 also but I remember. well the scor...

https://twitter.com/JonRothstein/status/1111317795986391047 McCullum is a great holdover from Hunter's staff for us here. Has had a winning record overall as a Head and a long career at Ball State, Detroit and was HC at Houston 2001-2004. http://www.georgiastatesports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID...

Why Hunter has UH no. 1 rival after Cougs gave him lip at NCAA's for Grand Pa remark

https://larrybrownsports.com/college-basketball/houston-motivated-grandpa-kelvin-sampson/488700 Knowing Hunter's personality, this was most likely friendly banter aimed at Coach Sampson that he says he respects more than anyone. Problem was, no one told Sampson's players that it was a joke. Hunter s...

Entertaining guy for sure. Was he joking or serious about making all the kids get haircuts like him? Definitely wants to win. I think he’s going to do well here. While watching the video in Devlin of CRN's speech, I could not help but reflect on the "body language "of most TU players every time the camera panned to them sitting together. Only Zhang and Daniels seemed engaged and buying into Hunters words, the rest were sitting with their arms folded across t...

Welcome Coach Hunter! I'll be wearing my green "MTGA" hat to Devlin. You are a proven winner. You have had 2 former players drafted in 1st round to NBA. Canteen participated in the Pro Day. I guess that means he decided not to stay and play for Coach Fritz this year now that he has healed up. That's a shame.
