Re: Houston wipes out the Wave 48-17

Looking at Rivals recruiting site, it should have been no surprise why Houston, Cinci & UCF are that much better than us. Houston has finished 7th, 1st & 6th over the last 3 years with (1) 5 star and (3) 4 star recruits. Cinci has finished 1st, 7th & 2nd with (2) 4 star recruits. UCF has finished 3...

Re: Houston wipes out the Wave 48-17

Something else we should consider. Fritz may not be the coach to take us to the top, but I still think he's the right person to build our foundation. CJ built nothing. He got us a winning season, but it was all smoke and mirrors, with no way to sustain. Yes, our offense is not what we'd all like, b...

Re: Houston wipes out the Wave 48-17

Ruse is running the offense Fritz wants him to run. Like it or not, if we win next week Fritz would've improved by a win every year and be heading to a bowl game with nice wins over Memphis and South Florida. Nothing about the other three wins should really be called nice but wins they were. I have...

Re: Houston wipes out the Wave 48-17

I saw the same thing, Engineer. We never tried to get outside. Maybe that had something to do with the speed of Houston's defense, I don't know. I know they looked a lot faster than us. But at least some motion to confuse the defense would be nice. Or at least to make them have to think for a secon...

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Navy game will be a massive Scrum down. We have the talent advantage, Navy has the coaching advantage. If Ruse isn’t fired after this season, then it is clear that Willie and the Boys have some kind of weird “Brotherhood of the Bell” arrangement going on— and we have no hope.

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Listening to Graf with TV audio off. What's going on with Oliver and their coach? I would think that's not the sort of behavior that will raise his NFL draft stock. Oliver definitley hurt his draft stock, and probably cost himself millions of dollars tonight. Applewhite should kick him off the team...

Applewhite and Oliver at war, and Tulane can’t take advantage of it because of Ruse. Who is “coached”’by Fritz.

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

UH second and third team defensive embarrassing Ruse. We’ll have to pass in the second half, so give Ledford a shot—can’t be worse than McM low darts. Of course Ruse play calling may negate any QB.

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

UH puts their athletes in space. Fritz and Ruse don’t. That’s the difference in this game.

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Ruse’s play calling is obvious to everyone. Totally predictable. He may save the UH defensive coordinator’s job.

Release is too slow. Leading to tipped passes.
And the fact that he throws low passes. McM has no touch on the ball—he can’t throw it with an arch.. and he obviously hasn’t been coached to do so—not at LSU or Tulane.

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Our play calling will kill us this game. UH has few defensive starters, but they know exactly what we will do offensively. This will be in Fritz and Ruse.

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Can’t Fritz and Ruse coach McMillan to throw the ball less than 100 mph? Bring in Howard next year- hopefully he can throw a catchable ball.

Sunami- no one here wants Miles. In fact if there is a change at some point for whatever reason most here want a spread offensive scheme.

Re: If you want more fans in the stands

And if you decide to pay the $50 or more for a ticket, you’ll also get to stand in concession lines for a large part of the game. Yulman has to have the most inefficient concession operation I’ve ever seen. Too few concession workers, all of whom move like snails. With Willie’s time eating Scrum Ba...
