Re: Scott Cowen

What a cop out from a POS person that has been nothing but self promoting since he was named President of Tulane. What about "The Review"? How did that help Tulane Athletics, Scotty boy? What about your attack on the BCS when Tulane was in it's best position since leaving the SEC to bring Athletics...

Re: Dante Wright decommits

“Decomit from a Commitment” Huh? You can’t “decomit” from a commitment. Was never a commitment. These “kids” have way too much leeway with positing “Blessed To receive my first offer” etc BS. The commiting in Sophmore and Junior HS years is also BS . Need rules no recruiting until junior year and n...

Re: Lindsey Scott to be a Tiger again :(

I wish LS the best. I have no idea if he is D1 QB material; the fact that he did not win the job at LSU or Mizzou is certainly not definitive. I am at a loss why people on this board seem to gloat over his bad fortune or wish him ill. He apparently considered Tulane but decided to pursue his educat...

Re: It's Official-Will Hall New OC

I was a bit surprised by this hire. Based on the advice I was giving WF from my seats at Yullman during the Navy game my wife told me that I should be the OC. I assumed when I heard about the opening that she had some inside information and was not being snide. Did anyone besides my wife hear that ...

Re: 14-zip! 45 years ago

A great moment, but part and parcel of the problem: TU supporters celebrating a game that isn't in the living memory of two generations of fans. We have to go back to the 70’s and early 80’s thanks to Eamon Kelly (father of the Tulane Model) and Baby Huey Cowen. Collectively their misguided policie...

A great moment, but part and parcel of the problem: TU supporters celebrating a game that isn't in the living memory of two generations of fans. And if I remember correctly, LSU fans continued to celebrate their 1958 team for 46 years, until Saban finally won them a title.. So its not something onl...

Re: Tulane vs ULL Cure Bowl

Now we get to deal with the dainty and delicate fans from the U LA LA fan base. They will incorrectly call their second tier directional school Louisiana and UL. Since these jokers seem to not be proud of Lafayette and their Acadiana heritage by dropping Lafayette off of their name I propose that a...

Re: Tulane vs ULL Cure Bowl

This will be one of the lowest attended and watched bowl games, maybe ever. Too many participation trophy bowls that 6-6 teams are basically guaranteed a post-season game. I just hope we don't go out and get embarrassed Sad but true. This is a prime example of too many bowl games. I’m sorry but I’m...

Up to the minute tally https://www.sbnation.com/a/bowl-game-schedule-2018-scores What a crappy line up of early bowl games. Watching the early rounds of the FCS playoff is far more compelling to watch than this line up. Our Cure Bowl against ULaLa isn’t any worse than most of these dog ass bowl gam...

Re: The 2018 Bowl Poll

I guess this will be Willie’s first bowl game as a head coach. He had already left when Ga Southern played their first bowl game in 2015. And Sam Houston State went to the FCS finals, twice, with Willie, but not a bowl.

I've said all along if we are going to win at this level and especially in this conference we need balance and we need to score a lot of points to win. Glad WF is recognizing that with this move. Here is a recap from when he appeared on the radio yesterday by a poster on another site: Fritz was on ...

Re: Ruse is out--Search for new OC has begun

Fantastic news. I’m frankly stunned. I didn’t think Fritz would pull the trigger. This really does suggest that Fritz wants to stay in N.O., and be very successful at Tulane. As everyone on this board knows, with even a slightly better offense we could have been at least 8-4 this season. Apparently ...

Aaron Brooks was far better and had much more success than Banks and I hated Aaron Brooks. Banks was flat out terrible this season. Didn’t have much help, didn’t have great offensive coaching, but McMillan once acclimated to the system whatever it is gave us a better chance to win. As for 6-6, it’s ...

If Tulane wins 7 to 10 games a year thru 2022 and sells 80 to 100% of Yulman during that time, they will be a top expansion candidate for the Big 12. The athletics would match the academics, we are a geographical fit in a recruiting target area for the Big 12. 2023 is when the next round of contrac...

Re: How Many Regular Season Games Will Tulane Win?

I read that Willie Fritz said Jonathan has a chance to play on Sunday and a strong arm. I never read that he said he would be a high draft pick. I might have missed it somewhere but those are two totally different statements from a HC. And I don't buy the first, so I certainly don't agree with the ...

Re: Tulane Comes Back To Beat Navy 29-28

A great win, but a tough win—it will never be easy being green. McMillan’s best passing game primarily because he slowed his passes down to 80 mph—they were catchable, although we had a couple drops early. Our D front seven played extremely well against Navy’s option. I missed our 3Q collapse, but a...
