Re: David Pierce

My point was he knew his streak was coming to an end here . I didn't say it was the only reason. Yes he was the 12th choice. He is a good coach. He can also recruit there. He had never dealt with the tuition issue as a HC and he did a poor job of recruiting here. bullsh*t he knew it was coming to a...

Re: David Pierce

LOL. We are poorly coached and clearly lacking in talent. It's why Pierce was willing to be the 12th choice by Texas. He knew his streak would be coming to an end here. One is delusional to think otherwise. Obviously you’ve missed my point. To your comment he wanted it because it was his dream job ...

Re: David Pierce

My post was meant as a defense of Pierce not a knock on TJ. But it has been disappointing seeing the same mistakes game after game. It’s a fine line the between success and failure. We’d been on the wrong side these past two seasons for sure.

In Year 2 leads Texas to Big 12 title. The Longhorns needed to take care of their business this weekend to earn a Big 12 regular season title. They went out and swept TCU at home to win the program’s first league regular season title since 2011. Kody Clemens (Roger’s son) hit yet another home run in...

Re: Andy Cannizaro

Hard to know. Last year they loved him. If so perhaps the non baseball distractions probably played some part. They do love Jake however.
As MSU completes the sweep of No 1 Florida.
Bulldogs peaking at the right time. JP France also contributed in the weekend sweep.

Re: Andy Cannizaro

Wow they just beat Florida the number one team in the country twice and now have a chance of making a run after having to deal with all the early adversity which has been unprecedented. Actually worked out great for Jake passing on Tulane.

Re: Andy Cannizaro

Jewett’s first hire was going to be Jake but Jake turned him down. It was too soon for him. He did a great job in his scouting position and made many contacts. His recruiting with all the restrictions at Tulane was superior as illustrated by his last class. He’s now is a vital part of Miss State’s s...

Lose 3-2 drop to 24-31 9-14 in AAC.
Same old story. Mistakes and bullpen. Had a 2-1 lead until the 8th. UCF going for sweep tomorrow.

Re: Andy Cannizaro

I ask again, moving forward, would anyone put $10,000 annually on Tulane making the NCAAs regardless of who the coach is? Or would you take the bet on not making the NCAAs? I'd like to be wrong on this but I would have to bet the No postseason option. Not with this staff I wouldn’t. I’ll wait and s...

Re: UCF Series

Tough back to back losing seasons with enough talent to win. I do believe coaching has been part of the problem. We are not fundamentally sound. Especially running the bases. There has been many a game where baserunning has cost us. And it has not yet been corrected and here we are 54 games into the...

I hate to burst anyone’s bubble but TD is in no way getting rid of Jewett. As a matter of fact he thinks the guy hung the moon and doesn’t understand why the fans are so hard on him. This changed my opinion of Dannen as being a competent AD.
No doubt we have a better team than we’re showing.

SI mock has him going #33 http://www.nola.com/pelicans/index.ssf/2018/05/nba_mock_draft_roundup_where_w.html All four of the polls cited in that article contradict the thread title but I'm crossing my fingers that they're wrong.
