Re: Houston Score Prediction Thread

It doesn't seem like Tulane's offense has gotten on track all year. When the game is close Tulane's offense depends on Banks or Hilliard finding daylight, otherwise they're going nowhere. The talent gap will be noticeable in this game. Houston 45 Tulane 20 UH 45 Tulane 21 I see how you "price-...

Re: Tulane crushes Colorado State 80-53

I’m not a cheerleader type. I call it like I see it. I saw us beat LSU, SELA (in person) and now Colorado St.(TV) We are going to have a great season. We will be more athletic then most teams we’ll play. We’ll be as well coached as anyone. The kids are buying in to the Dunleavy plan. Like I said in ...

Re: Another QB commit.....

This is exactly what I was trying to point out. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/are-lefty-quarterbacks-going-extinct/ Part of the decline of left handed QB’s, Christensen is convinced, can be traced to wide receivers, the particular playmakers who like passes to settle into their hands with few...

Re: Another QB commit.....

I was a ball boy for the Saints off and on as a kid. I did a season when Bobby Douglass was playing (lefty) QB. FYI Douglass could throw a football over 90 yards. All of the receivers had to get used to the way the ball came off of his hand. The ball would tail off opposite of what Archie threw. His...

Re: Another QB commit.....

why is a left handed QB more confusing.... ? On passing the ball has an opposite spin and rotation. Rushing he’d probably favor a left pitch. I would think the offense would shift to favor a lefty pitching and passing. Meaning instead of mostly running the option right they’d probably want to run m...

Re: Another QB commit.....

Left handed QB going by that picture. Yep - he's left handed. Interestingly enough, if he does not work out at QB, he has experience at safety. http://www.thetimesnews.com/sports/20170802/daniels-heads-into-season-with-future-solidified It's almost certain that his left handedness played a role in ...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66

I haven’t mentioned anything about the post season. We haven’t reached the NIT since Perry Clark left. I wouldn’t compare this to Fritz beating up on FCS teams. Watching football, Fritz has yet to improve the level of talent in the program and he’s running an offense that won’t succeed in the AAC. ...

Re: Tulane beats SLU 89-66

Just got home from the game. SELA has a fairly good club. Wouldn’t at all be surprised if they had a nice year. We are much improved in all areas. The new additions I like are Daniels, Sehic, and Cornish. The returning players have all shown significant improvement. We’re deep on the bench for this ...

Re: Line Opens UH 9.5 pts. > Tulane – The Spread Thread

Houston had a bye this past weekend so they will probably come in rested and ready to play with the extra time to prepare. I notice we did draw the short straw on several occasions this season. We got Houston after their bye, Cincinnati after their bye, and we played Memphis on a 6 day turnaround w...

What has happened to our newspaper! I know times have changed and they sold out etc, but what has happened. When I was a kid we would get headlines! Re: Wave beats LIU Brooklyn 102-96

Wave loses this game last year. Sehic and Cornish are the difference makers. Great FT shooting at the end. The team is improved but we won’t know by how much until league play starts. Defense needs to get its act together. We should have held that team to 70 or less.
