Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

Lol. And I’ll add an “elite” program with no national titles. Hey Now! We recently had a thread where we called ourselves "elite" with two CWS. Moo State has ten. Plus 35 Tourney appearances. Florida State hasn't won a title either. 22 CWS and 55 Tourneys. Are they also not an "elite" program? Yes ...

Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

So he’s retained by an “elite” program only because has happened to be hired by a Tulane guy. Ok good to know its an elite program with no national titles. To not acknowledge the great job he did this year is just wrong and is in line with your anti-Rick Jones agenda. FYI Travis Jewett offered Jake...

Re: Indiana Baseball Job Opening

Should attract some attention. Perhaps Riser may be interested or even our own Travis Jewett. I am sure with TJ's record, he would be a "lock" !! (.one could only hope ) Lol. Yet he’s being mentioned here: https://indiana.forums.rivals.com/threads/confirmed-chris-lemonis-reportedly-headed-to-missis...

Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

LOL. Like great minds just knew AC was the greatest ever. Jake was a great player here. Coaching wise not so much. He was here for 5 years of no post season. Coached us to a losing season. Then went 3 years without a coaching job till he was hired by another former Tulanian.. This would be his firs...

Moo State reportedly hiring Indiana Head Coach Chris Lemonis. Jake to stay on as Assistant. https://www.clarionledger.com/story/sports/college/mississippi-state/2018/06/24/mississippi-state-hire-indianas-chris-lemonis-head-coach-baseball-college/729702002/ Smart move by Jake. Re: Jake Gautreau named Asst coach at Miss St.

Rough series for MSU's offense. In three of the four games they only scored a total of 5 runs. Can't win like that. JP , who could never crack the starting rotation there , was only called on to throw one inning. He only pitched one inning because he experienced shoulder pain. Hopefully it’s not se...

We were actually drawing good crowds when we moved in. But again this isn't about Tulane's lease. This is bout the fact that Benson doesn't own the Dome. But we all know you'll never admit you're wrong.
No Benson doesn’t own the Dome. He has a better deal than the owner.

Re: Future OOC Games

The opportunity was always there. As usual Tulane took the low road. So do you. What opportunity? Please explain? Tulane had one of the greatest sweetheart leases of all time. They could never get anything near that today. They paid virtually nothing for 40 plus years to use one of the most premier...

Re: Future OOC Games

LOL. How pathetic. Nothing to concede. The HS Championships have been held there for 40 years. That overlaps with Tulane's lease. The High schools had a different lease. Once again you can't admit you have tried to mislead Tulane fans on a substantive issue. Things never change. You can try to yogg...

Re: Future OOC Games

Just concede. Yes other entities have different contracts with the Dome today obviously - But the Tulane contract was initiated in 1975 the first Year the Dome was available. It was beneficial at the time for all parties and became hugely beneficial to Tulane years later. There is only one option in...

Re: Future OOC Games

There were no various lease options. The lease had two parts to determine the rent - there were no other lease options in the Superdome contract - the Dome (Benson) received all concessions, parking, and advertising - we kept program and merchandise sales - Tulane was not allowed to post ad signs in...

Re: Future OOC Games

Benson could never make anything off of Tulane games or any other event . He got all revenue from his game days. You're just wrong on this and always have been. There are various lease options. Tulane chose the cheapest. The HS's chose to pay more rent in order to get revenue from parking and conce...

That's not 19 years in a row. It's called an upset. One in fact that was long overdue with a 16 finally beating a 1. LOL.
Well when any number 1 loses it’s called an upset. 19 straight is long overdue for a number 1 to finally win but the streak continues.

Re: Future OOC Games

Like I said Benson doesn't own the Dome and doesn't get all the revenue from every event there as you told people for years. The HS championships are played there and they get cuts of all the revenue. Tulane chose the low rent option. There are other options so that you get a slice of the revenue. ...

Re: Future OOC Games

tufinal4, that's exactly my point: it makes more sense to play Tulane every year than it does to play some of the rent-a-wins they play each and every year. It would take some creativity, and probably some concessions from the 'Dome, (like splitting the gate, parking and concessions in New Orleans)...

Re: #1 seed jinx in Omaha 19 years in row now

That's b/c in this sport you don't always have the best starter on the mound for every game. In the other sports you have your same starters for every game. Not the case in baseball at the most important position. Ok NCAA basketball UVA Number 1 seed in hoops lost first round to UMBC this past seas...

Which means now no guaranteed contract?
Last year the 35th pick:
Memphis Grizzlies: Ivan Rabb, F/C (Cal): Signed
Three-year, $3.95MM contract. First two years fully guaranteed.

Congrats Melvin wishing you the best of luck. I thought his best shot at the 1st Rd was with the Warriors but they took the Cincy guard.

With the 5th Pick of the 2nd Round, the Magic select Melvin Frazier. Follow via Draftcast. www.espn.com/nba/draft/live
