Vandy takes game two (4-1) making game 3 necessary.

“So financially, BYU would do better to remain independent.”
That’s all they needed to say.
Yep. But I didn’t think about trying to go bowling as an Indy though. With all the conference bowl tie-ins there’s not many left for an independent even with a good record.

Michigan beats Vandy in game one.
Here’s an interesting interview from the Michigan coach on travel ball and diversity in college baseball.

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East

Every team in the AAC should have aspirations to leave for a better situation. Apparently UCONN feels like the Big East is best for them. IMO we won’t be able to replace them with a better multi-sport school. I just hope it’s not much worse. As you can see by the date of the first post in this threa...

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East

A dig at Tulane https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-u-conn-move-to-the-big-east-inevitable-151200471.html The Huskies lost their geographic relevance in basketball by leaving the Big East, as organic rivals like Providence, St. John’s and Syracuse were replaced by strangers like Tulane, East Carolina a...

Re: Pels Draft

Actually the Pel's good fortune is going to seriously hurt our MBB ticket sales and attendance . We are not a basketball town and the limited interest from casual fans will almost 100 % flow to the pros and virtually eliminate impulse walk up sales for us, as it will also eliminate "curious" sales....

There's 4 teams left in the CWS: Michigan (B1G) Texas Tech (Big 12) Vanderbilt (SEC) and Louisville (ACC).
Vandy looks the strongest. I’m actually surprised they weren’t seeded #1 and UCLA #2.

Re: Pels Draft

In the news reports about the switch it said Kelley was staying on through the draft. Can't remember the exact switch date though. Graff will really have a lot to work with with Zion. Perfect timing. My father-in-law and I bought a 12 game package for next season. I've always liked Duke too. If his...

Re: Pels Draft

What do you think of it? Love the Zion pick of course. Unsure about the others. Hope they turn out well. This great sports town deserves winning. Amazing to say the least. Only time will tell. But since AD forced their hand it’s remarkable how many players the Pels are receiving for one guy. If jus...

The excitement is understandable, but some caution is in order. At the .53 , in response to “What should the fans be excited about for this season”, Coach Hunter said “winning.” I heard nothing about leading these young men through the travails of life, graduation rates, or even tillage and floricu...

Has anyone at Tulane ever played all 3 sports?
Good question. The FB/MBB combo is rare.
I found this:

Don’t think he’ll play basketball at the D1 level.

Beautiful park. One thing I took from those stories is that the trend of smaller seating continues. The original Globe Life Park built seated 52,000 and it was later reduced to 48,000. The new park will now seat 40,000. So 12,000 less than the original park. This is like a Rick Dickson "capacity ve...
