Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Thoughts: It's amazing how much more tuned in he is to just about everything than Dickson. Especially what individual fans are saying and thinking. Just by being engaged he changed my opinion about the whole situation in a few days. Dickson would've acted like we were all idiots, engaged nobody and ...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

After reading PM’s statement my opinion is to quit playing them altogether. Don’t go there and don’t go to Zephyr. However, you can’t do this in a vacuum. The reason they are able to pull this BS on us is bc our baseball program is a shadow of what it once was. They are treating us like what we’ve b...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

I think if you look at the difference between Fritz's 1st class and 2nd, he's obviously gaining more of a foothold in Louisiana as he becomes more familiar with it. LSU is going to see every kid in this state that wants LSU to see them. That does not hold true for Texas Am, Michigan, or whoever. It ...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

We are not beating LSU out for kids anytime soon. Pairing with LSU brings more kids to the camp locally than any other pairing we could have. Many of those kids are not quite good enough to get a scholarship from LSU but believe they are or want to see if they can impress LSU at the camp. This gives...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

So far in Dannen tenure we have no postseason games and lost our most lucrative baseball game and valued series. I have liked most of what Dannen has done, but those are the facts.

Re: Graff mentioned in 5 possible candidates for Saints PBP job

I think Graff has become very good on the football broadcasts. I originally thought Hoss would get the Saints gig. Seems like from what I’m reading it’s between Kelley, Joel Meyers and Zach Strief. I’m sure Graff is disappointed, but I think he’s in the right spot.

Re: Future OOC Games

They can’t be nutless, they play in the toughest division of the toughest conference in the country and routinely play at 1 Top 25 OOc opponent per year. Their AD is a moron and even LSU fans despise him. They aren’t giving road games to Non P5 teams and we want a home game. They have nothing to gai...

Re: Future OOC Games

They don’t have any interest in watching the teams you named either that’s why their actual attendance for those games is about 25k less than announced and even worse after halftime.

Re: Future OOC Games

99% of my friend are LSU fans. They have absolutely zero interest in playing us in football and it has nothing to do with the possibility of losing to us. It’s getting extremely expensive and time consuming to go to LSU games in Baton Rouge and the only thing that moves the needle for them is SEC ga...

Re: #12 ECU Sweeps Tulane

I may get laughed at here, but hear me out. Tulane Baseball interest is at an all time low. I have not watched or listened to one game this season. Much bigger fans than I are not attending games. Go hire Andy Cannizaro. He probably will come alot cheaper than he would have. He had a marital indiscr...

Re: SELA Whips the Wave 9-3

Hire Riser or Gautreau. Bring Cannizzaro in as hitting coach. Or don’t. Jewett isn’t the answer. Even when Fritz was losing you could tell the team was well coached and was buying into the staff. There is none of that here. Interest is at an all time low.

Re: Honest question

I am cautiously optimistic about football next season. I do have some level of anticipation for that. I currently have no excitement for the other two sports. Dunleavy took the job at 67, he will I believe be in his 3rd year at 70 yrs old next year. How many conference games does he need to win next...

Re: Graff mentioned in 5 possible candidates for Saints PBP job

I imagine whoever gets it would be brought into the fold as a full time hire with various other gigs and shows under Benson and the Saints umbrella. Henderson was a special case because he did it for so long and was universally loved as the play by play guy. He called his own shots. This is why Kell...

Re: Andy Cannizaro

He didn’t do anything a ton of other coaches haven’t done and are doing. Stupidly he did it with a boosters daughter in law and from what I can gather lied about it to his Athletic Director and did it while his wife is pregnant. What he did was stupid, but we don’t know what his relationship is with...

Shame on him. Thank goodness TD did a proper vetting . If you feel sorry for anyone feel sorry for his wife who is due with their third child this weekend. As for Gaut he was lucky to get a job back at this level. Like I told several people that was AC''s first big mistake as a coach. Funny how it ...

Re: Houston Launches the Wave 73-42

That’s a horrible quote from Dunleavy, he’s a college coach with 18-21 yr old kids, if he doesn’t think part of his job is to coach effort and motivate he’s got the wrong job. His job is to win games and that means doing anything it takes to win those games. Steve Kerr just let his team coach an ent...

Re: Houston Game Thread

In response to Frazier’s ejection, I’m pretty positive I saw Cornish walk over to Dunleavy and tell him to get Frazier out the game after the 1st technical. I thought the game was very well coached, but in high school and college you need to get a guy who gets a technical out the game for awhile if ...

All I can guess is there another bigger school out there either leading him on or telling him if he wAits till summer they may or will have a spot for him. Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring to EMCC

From what I’ve seen is Fitz came in thinking he could run triple option like he did at Ga Southern and realized rather quickly that wasn’t going to work in the AAC. He’s looking for guys who can make plays with their feet and make most of throws. He’s gonna gear the offense to the talent at QB.

Shaun King drafted in the 2nd Round. Patrick Ramsey in the 1st. JP Losman in the 1st. Carson Wentz was at North Dakota St. Jay Cutler Vandy. Roethlisberger Miami(OH). Joe Flacco Delaware. Bortles UCF. Derek Carr Fresno St. Case Keenum Houston. Garropolo? It is far more important as a QB to find a sy...

The problem was always that his brother pulled backroom stuff to get him hired over Rodriguez so he is certainly at least somewhat culpable in that messy situation. He was building a solid program in 2002 and was completely derailed by Cowen and then finished off by Katrina. He had 2 winning seasons...

His "womanizing" was well known and not well liked by some high up in the TulaneAthletic Dept when he was here. I remember hearing it back then as one of the reasons they didn't hire him. Of course who knows how accurate that was, but I do remember hearing it.
