Re: SELA Whips the Wave 9-3

Hire Riser or Gautreau. Bring Cannizzaro in as hitting coach. Or don’t. Jewett isn’t the answer. Even when Fritz was losing you could tell the team was well coached and was buying into the staff. There is none of that here. Interest is at an all time low.

Re: Honest question

I am cautiously optimistic about football next season. I do have some level of anticipation for that. I currently have no excitement for the other two sports. Dunleavy took the job at 67, he will I believe be in his 3rd year at 70 yrs old next year. How many conference games does he need to win next...

Re: Graff mentioned in 5 possible candidates for Saints PBP job

I imagine whoever gets it would be brought into the fold as a full time hire with various other gigs and shows under Benson and the Saints umbrella. Henderson was a special case because he did it for so long and was universally loved as the play by play guy. He called his own shots. This is why Kell...

Re: Andy Cannizaro

He didn’t do anything a ton of other coaches haven’t done and are doing. Stupidly he did it with a boosters daughter in law and from what I can gather lied about it to his Athletic Director and did it while his wife is pregnant. What he did was stupid, but we don’t know what his relationship is with...

Re: Andy Cannizaro

Shame on him. Thank goodness TD did a proper vetting . If you feel sorry for anyone feel sorry for his wife who is due with their third child this weekend. As for Gaut he was lucky to get a job back at this level. Like I told several people that was AC''s first big mistake as a coach. Funny how it ...

Re: Houston Launches the Wave 73-42

That’s a horrible quote from Dunleavy, he’s a college coach with 18-21 yr old kids, if he doesn’t think part of his job is to coach effort and motivate he’s got the wrong job. His job is to win games and that means doing anything it takes to win those games. Steve Kerr just let his team coach an ent...

Re: Houston Game Thread

In response to Frazier’s ejection, I’m pretty positive I saw Cornish walk over to Dunleavy and tell him to get Frazier out the game after the 1st technical. I thought the game was very well coached, but in high school and college you need to get a guy who gets a technical out the game for awhile if ...

Re: Lindsey Scott

All I can guess is there another bigger school out there either leading him on or telling him if he wAits till summer they may or will have a spot for him. Maybe he’s waiting to see what shakes out in the spring and won’t decide until summer. The whole thing seems bizarre but the only logical guess ...

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring to EMCC

From what I’ve seen is Fitz came in thinking he could run triple option like he did at Ga Southern and realized rather quickly that wasn’t going to work in the AAC. He’s looking for guys who can make plays with their feet and make most of throws. He’s gonna gear the offense to the talent at QB.

I still think he's going to make the right decision for himself and come here. I say that with absolutely no inside info whatsoever.

Shaun King drafted in the 2nd Round. Patrick Ramsey in the 1st. JP Losman in the 1st. Carson Wentz was at North Dakota St. Jay Cutler Vandy. Roethlisberger Miami(OH). Joe Flacco Delaware. Bortles UCF. Derek Carr Fresno St. Case Keenum Houston. Garropolo? It is far more important as a QB to find a sy...

Re: Chris Scelfo

The problem was always that his brother pulled backroom stuff to get him hired over Rodriguez so he is certainly at least somewhat culpable in that messy situation. He was building a solid program in 2002 and was completely derailed by Cowen and then finished off by Katrina. He had 2 winning seasons...

His "womanizing" was well known and not well liked by some high up in the TulaneAthletic Dept when he was here. I remember hearing it back then as one of the reasons they didn't hire him. Of course who knows how accurate that was, but I do remember hearing it.

Re: Jeffery Johnson--4* DT early signee

Just saw another comment about ppl finding reasons to down Tulane recruits. The facts are this is the best composite class in probably 30 years. Scelfo had a really good class but it was slightly smaller and not as well rounded position wise. Fans have questioned some of the recruits over the last d...

Re: Jeffery Johnson--4* DT early signee

This new idea where somehow there are those of us who post on here that are actively rooting against Fritz and Tulane is absurd. Also it's stupid and very Yogwfish. Anyone who has spent the amount of time and money supporting this Athletic dept with little if any payout over the decades wants to see...

Yeah, I know. Some of you can't wait to say that in regard to our football recruiting season that every hand's a loser and every hand's a winner. Many of you delight in being the doubting Thomas and announcing that you will only believe that change is happening once you have a chance to purchase ti...

Re: SMU Gameday Thread

The most frustrating part of the review for me is that they took a fumble return td from us earlier where they overturned the call on the field and the ball was clearly moving when his knee hit the ground. At the very least it wasn't indisputable. They seem to use the term indisputable at their own ...

Re: SMU Gameday Thread

It was a horrible call and we were robbed. That being said, we missed on a wide open slant for a TD, we had a 14 yard loss on a 4th and short in the previous drive. We played a great game and gave a valiant effort, but we had opportunities to seal the deal and we didn't capitalize on them. That will...

Re: Miss State Baseball Recruiting

Recruiting for MSU and recruiting for Tulane are two different animals. I hope everyone realizes that there is probably not one of their recruits whose parents would be interested in paying 2/3 Tulane tuition. So had they come to Tulane their pool of recruits would have been drastically different. ...

There were some of us who anointed him very early on and some who either took offense to that or believed we were wrong. Re: ECU Score Prediction Thread

I think we will win, because if we lose we will have obviously regressed in Year 2 of the Fritz era and a win will allow Tulane to make a Tulane claim that we won more conference games this year than last and that somehow equals progress and success.

Re: Tanner Lee

He has a better arm than King. I'd say he is on the Ramsey and Losman level as far as arm strength goes. Of course both of those guys were 1st round picks because of their arm strength and not their decision making and/or accuracy. So I'm not sure what the point of the statement was. His arm strengt...
