Re: Rusty Staub dies

Met him at his restaurant in NYC years ago. He came out of the kitchen in his apron, we chatted about baseball and the culinary arts. A nice man who took a few minutes for us in the middle of a busy night. A nice man who took time to express care and interest in others, even when time was a scarce ...

We are 11-15. How in the world did we ever win 11 games?

I'm out. Can't even listen to the games.

Re: Tulane loses to LSU 10-4

What can't be disputed is there was 14 new head coaches 2 years ago. Only 5 have a losing record (South East Missouri St, Villanova, Charleston Southern, Youngstown St and us). This is a shocking and disconcerting fact. Wonder how many people, like me, didn't renew their season tickets after last y...

Just because it is a slow period for sports, thought I would post these pictures of Willie Fritz's daughter, Lainie. Re: USM Blows Tulane Out 12-3

Note: The Yoggie (YOGWF) board does not want anyone to discuss any coaching changes ('par for the course' over there). Can we do that over here? Not only do they not 'want' you to discuss changes, you can be kicked off the site for making posts that are deemed too critical. I strongly disagree with...

Re: Colin Slater transferring

Colin is looking for a starting postion. He was quite a step up from Von Julien and had some good moments on the floor this year. I wish him well. He's a very smart, likable, and approachable young man.

No "just cause" here. This was a 'just because'.....just because they're tired of being last.

Re: UCONN MBB fires HC and staff possible $10 mill buyout

Wonder what they are trying to include in the "just cause" clause. I'm certain that when Ollie signed the contract that he didn't foresee a just-cause termination due to his failure to win the AAC or reach the NCAA round of 16.

Re: Tulane blows the SELA Game 13-12

I feel guilty for not renewing my baseball season tickets this year, but games with endings like the last two raise my blood pressure. I've read that of the four stages of learning, the first two are "suffering with the inability to recognize a cause" which evolves toward "suffering with the capabil...

I just read this had to laugh. Who here besides winwave thinks Graff if offered turns down the Saints. The Saints job would give Graf national exposure and a chance at an even bigger assignment. I'm pretty sure he would take it no matter how great his affection for Tulane. Jim Henderson did a...

Damn I'm dumb It's never wrong to hope for the best when you're discussing Tulane sports (as long as you're not betting money). Not only that, but there's an old native American saying: It's better to aim your arrow at a star and fall short than to drop it in your lap and puncture your private part...

I wasn't able to listen to the Ole Miss games. How did Massey look on Saturday? I know we lost big but I hope that there were some positive points from his start. I'm a big fan of his and I really would like to see him regain his form and confidence.
