Re: Line Opens Tulane 7 pts. > SMU

I'd lay the points! I still think we get our way to 6 wins, maybe 7, but giving a TD to ANY d1 opponent is too many points IMHO. We're not that good. D, I hope you're right. Unfortunately it would be very Tulanish for us to soil the bedsheets on one of the three remaining home games for which we wi...

Re: One Person's mid season's take

Here's another's: 1) Dauphine should be getting more touches. Check 2) Mooney drops too many balls. Check 3) Banks should be the starter and McMillian should come in if he's struggling or a change of pace is indicated. Check 4) The D makes plays but could use better LB'ers. Check 5) Special teams i...

Re: Tulane Tames the Tigers 40-24

How do you "hold on" to win when you're down two TD's at halftime? Actually, it was a nail-biter of a finish. Memphis probably should have won except for their boneheaded mistakes. With UCF leading 31-30 and 6+ minutes left to play, Memphis had the ball on the UCF 32 for a critical 3rd down play. D...

Re: Tulane Tames the Tigers 40-24

Memphis leading #10 UCF 3o-17 at the half. Henderson (who we held to -5 yards rushing after his first run for a TD) has 170+ yards in the first half. Memphis is tough at home. Glad we played them at our house.

2018-2019 Basketball Season

When we get a little closer to November, I (or someone) will post a thread so we may make our annual 2018-2019 conference basketball predictions. In the meantime for your viewing pleasure is one of the earliest pre-season predictions from bustingbrackets.com. To the surprise of few, we aren't predic...

You may be a Tulane fan if: You hardly ever win games on the road When you go to a home game, you're the only person wearing your team's colors Sporting goods stores carry none of your team's apparel Your season ticket prices increase even if your W-L record doesn't When you are sent to central lock...

Re: Wave Beats The Wave,Cincinnati wins 37-21

Watching this game made me ill and now we have two weeks to let the wound fester before SMU. Brace yourselves. Should we lose that game, this will be an even lower point than we experienced at the end of CJ's tenure. SMU is not just a 'must' win. It's a 'you-better-win-or-else'. It's tough being a T...

How about:

-try and overcome the size advantage of their defensive line by running qb toss and run outside
-throwing to Encalade...

The easiest defensive play call in football: When Huderson lines up in the backfield; he'll take the handoff and run inside to the left.

Re: Cincinnati GameDay Thread

It appears that Cincy is a team that can step on their own private parts...even moreso than the Wave:
93.8 average penalty yards for Cincinnati, the highest total in the AAC and the third highest nationally.

5-7 ....Nicholls, Tulsa, SMU, Cincy, ECU....with less than 6 point loses to USF, Houston, Navy and UAB I believe golfnut has the only perfect record so far. His early season pick was Tulane over Cincinnati followed by a win over SMUgh. If his trend continues we will be 4-3 and on our way to a bowl....

Well, it nearly triples my annual donation... from $500 to $1400. It sure feels like a money squeeze as opposed to attracting more fans or rewarding loyalty.

Do we have next year's ticket prices yet?
I'm going to make a leap of faith and guess that there is no ever-loving way that anyone would be so stupid as to raise prices in addition to implementing the new seat license fees.

Re: Seat Licenses/Priority Seating Charge

And to continue on my soapbox, this new marketing strategy will exacerbate another of my hotbutton issues and that is seat poaching. I hardly ever go to a game when I do not observe or are directly affected by poachers. Arrive fifteen minutes late? Someone will have claimed your seats. At halftime, ...

Probably like most fans I enjoy good seats. I currently buy 2 tickets in football, 2 basketball and 3 for baseball. I will not move seats to pay less. I’ll have to drop some now. I’m not going to donate another penny to any losing sport. So much for building your fan base. How is this going to incr...

Re: Tulane Tames the Tigers 40-24

I'm interested in everyone's thoughts on the post-game locker room celebration with Fritz body-surfing. From one perspective, I'm delighted at the enthusiasm. From another, this seems gaudy. I would prefer that this pretentiousness be withheld until we win our division and/or a bowl game. There is r...

Re: Memphis GameDay Thread

Here are a couple of my gameday thoughts; I cannot believe we held Darrell Henderson to 51 yards rushing, 47 of those coming on the first play from scrimmage. For his other 6 attempts, he gained four yards. He did pick up an additional 45 yards receiving. Give McMillan more credit for his TD pass. I...
