Re: Potentially Big news for Baseball?

Maybe not: The Council also made some additional recommendations on the matter. The group asked the Student-Athlete Experience Committee to do a comprehensive review of the financial aid rules, counter rules for every sport, average equivalencies for every sport and roster management. More positive...

Yes good job TPS for not responding, that poster is clearly emotionally unstable. It's not like you are making this stuff up or choosing a side, its history.

Re: Potentially Big news for Baseball?

There’s a 5 page thread on stacking rather than merge this and rehash here’s a simple example that summarizes it: Currently Vanderbilt and a few other high endowment schools give need based financial aid to every student enrolled - you basically pay only what you can afford. So they can give the en...

Re: “Tulane” Ave now on the list of name changes

USA is the least racist country in the world. I spit out of my coffee in laughter! You must've not visited many countries. Are we the worst? No. But we're far from the best. Actually it is the least racist, easily top 5. I’ve been to 73 countries if that makes you think that gives me a leg up for s...

Re: “Tulane” Ave now on the list of name changes

The Civil War happened. It's not going to disappear, no matter how much those Americans living in this current place and time want to erase it. It was about more than just the abolishment of slavery. The soldiers in the Confederate Army were fighting with as much conviction and sense of purpose as ...

Re: Potentially Big news for Baseball?

Wait you mean it's been a lie all along that Tulane chose not to stack when in fact it was NCAA rules that prevented it? Shocking. (Sarcasm) Hope it passes. Not sure what you are referring to specifically, but I wouldn’t go parading around like Vinny Gambini if I was you. We all know the admin has ...

Re: “Tulane” Ave now on the list of name changes

USA is the least racist country in the world. I spit my coffee out the other day when I saw a Nike ad about race and oppression. I thought is this the same Nike that has Chinese slaves making all their product? I stand with USA. And I stand with Tulane. When you stand for USA you know you are on the...
What do you know about this kid's academics that the rest of us don't know? Seriously, we have NO IDEA why he didn't get in.
Serious question, just trying to understand.....not trying to be upfront. Why do you think we suck at every single sport and have zero sustained success in a...

Re: Justin Campbell denied Admission

Sometimes Tulane admin makes me fill like i'm one of only 2 people who want to win. If Jewett didn't think he would've got admitted, he would not have wasted 2 years of his life recruiting him. Lets not act like Jewett was out recruiting the penitentiary league and found this kid, This kid was every...

Re: Justin Campbell denied Admission

This is so SAD. Where is Troy Dannen? This was a 5 star recruit. Imagine if we got a 5 star recruit in basketball. Only one that cares about basketball in Louisiana and Mississippi more than baseball is troy, and i guarantee you troy would've gotten him in if he played another sport. This isn't firs...

Re: Eddie Smith

Couple points. This is a demotion. Plain and simple. I’ve talked to couple D1 coaches and one may have even coached at LSU before (not AC). Go from a top asst at Tulane to a volunteer coach at LSU, you lose a lot of benefits etc health insurance, as you are a volunteer. That being said a guy is not ...

Re: CWS #1 seed jinx continues now straight 20 years

There's 4 teams left in the CWS: Michigan (B1G) Texas Tech (Big 12) Vanderbilt (SEC) and Louisville (ACC). Vandy looks the strongest. I’m actually surprised they weren’t seeded #1 and UCLA #2. And therein may be the answer to why the #1 seed has failed to win it all over the past 20 years--poor see...

Re: Graff leaving Tulane for Pels

if you are correct and they put a student on the baseball job as you say, i'll be starting a petition to fire a lot of people. We would be the only top 50 baseball school in country with a student doing the play by play. that is bush-league, petty, infuriating and really just sad what they are doing...

Mike Hoss will only do F'Ball and Basketball...no Baseball...the hire will be 90 percent IMG approval...10 percent Tulane's approval...baseball will fall to a Tulane studnet PBP responsibility ....once Sean Peyton is fired, or leaves the Saints for the Cowboys, Graff will have that job and leave th...

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East

UConn really thinks mighty of themselves. Losing value by association? https://twitter.com/djct1999/status/1143170093607731201 honestly everything i've seen it sounds like they were. The new tv contract took basketball dollars from them and were distributed to everyone else in conference. So then U...

The view from New Jersey: https://www.nj.com/sports/2019/06/who-will-replace-uconn-in-aac-ranking-the-top-candidates-army-byu-who-else.html The American Athletic Conference is likely losing UConn as a football member. The AAC should not be terribly broken up about this - the Huskies have been an on...

Re: UCONN looking to leave AAC for Big East

Big 12 moved its hq from Kansas city to DFW and lost 3 key members because of it. Missouri, Nebraska, and Colorado. They then moved the Championship football game from KC to DFW which was icing on the cake. Big 12 sided with the TX schools and crapped on the big 12 north and lost half of the North d...

First the rogue vote against baseball that went agains all ADs, Louisville leaving, UConn going to big east , the terrible decision to pu...

And basically makes it almost impossible to make a regional in a non P5 due to rpi equation. Ideally we need 3 away non conf series the way rpi is set up. 2 legit ones and then 1 at souther miss or so. 2-3 last few years we’ve only gotten 1 away non conf series. Need 2 at minimum and both of Our aw...

Re: 2019 AAC Baseball Tourney Thread

I think we put too many resources into baseball, but that's me. That being said, there's no way we spend millions of dollars to move to a baseball stadium that's 10 miles from campus, despite the other benefits we get. Turchin is still relatively new; we're not ripping it down. Honestly I would arg...
