Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Was great interview. His thoughts on wpc and us playing in it are wrong though. It is an LSU event and they invited us to play there......no thank you. Has nothing to do with a neutral game. It’s not. It is an LSU controlled event, it’s there event, nothing neutral about it, it’s an LSU foundation. ...

Re: Seat Licenses

Another example of how out of touch admin is to its own fanbase. Seat license will definitely happen in future and it should if we want to take that next step and be in running of P5. But Tulane is about 10 years of straight bowls, 10 NCAA tourneys and 10 regionals all in next 10 years to have the s...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

The way to solve this is to propose playing them in a weekend series home and home after Alleva is fired. I’d even do a 2 for 1. Or you could play one in BR, 1 at Turchin and 1 at the Shrine. It would be a huge money maker and a big win for the fans. That could be only possible if we started winnin...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Other board is saying our tv contract for our own home game was not the same structure as what LSU got from same cable company for there own home game. We wanted fair deal. LSU fans please forgive us for wanting to do what we want on our own home games. I don’t know what’s true, but if that is and t...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

It’s our our home game so we get the TV money. Tulane wanted more money from Cox for this particular game in fact as much as LSU gets for its televised games. Cox said no to that so Tulane declined to televise it. Alleva was mad because the game has always been on TV. He begged Tulane to televise i...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

I’m as hard on Dannen as anyone on here, and I’ve been on the case for more support for baseball since day 1. Support from a admin perspective, ie more scholarship money and aid. I’ve been saying to everyone about that since the beginning, that being said, I don’t believe this is his fault, this is ...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Does anyone know why we cancelled the tv last year? Was it because LSU was wanting a sweeter deal or majority of the tv revenue for our own home game, or was it because we thought we could make more money by using all access and being greedy?

He’s just not one of us. They offer everyone in Louisiana, most of our local players all had offers to LSU, they just couldn’t stand them like us and wanted a top education.

PW, would you like to bet me $10,000 per year going forward on Tulane making the NCAAs? Sure a coach may make a difference in whether the team is close or just crap. My point is that there's not many guys out there who will make a difference that would even take the job under our present circumstan...

yes. pitching coach no. scoring same amount of runs we did in our last regional team so we are goo there. pitching is atrocious though. Fix that and we got something cooking. What if he keeps the pitching coach and we’re just as bad next year? Our pitching in 16 was some of the best in the country,...

Re: #12 ECU Sweeps Tulane

In defense of our pitchers and pitching coach our official scorer has been way too generous giving hits when errors were made. Many of those “so called” hits led to runs that were scored “earned” instead of “unearned”. It also skews our fielding %. It’s a lot less than what the stats show. Because ...

i'm as big a jewett supporters as anyone which isn't saying much.....but you gotta make a pitching coach change. I'm sure pitching coahc is a great guy, but man our pitching is tough to watch. After the Ole Miss series you said http://gotula.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10101&p=174222#p174222 Roper looked fantastic. All of our starting pitchers looked good. want to point out that Rowland is only hitting .216 but he accounts for HALF of our runs scored (9rbis plus his own 4 runs from hr = 13)....

There's a bigger picture here. Unfortunately guys we could change coaches 20 times and it won't make a difference. It's no secret we can't compete with most universities for recruits due to cost and lack of aid and no help from our admin. We don't get the same players Lsu and ole miss gets anymore,...

Re: Tulane blows the SELA Game 13-12

I know Rick Jones did this sometimes, but I always really heard multiple times that David Pierce would talk to his pitchers like dogs. Pierce took it to another level. Pitching is a mentality, and Pierce didn't give those guys time of day....weren't important enough to say 1 word. If Pierce went to ...

Was wild pitch in books but should've been blocked easily. Anything in the dirt gets to the backstop all night.
