Re: Performance Center

Maybe there are still some who have never heard the plan. They will tear out the north end zone to add seats, suites and a standing viewing deck. What now can bring in about $300K will be able to bring in $3M+. Gosha says there is more demand for Glazier than they can sell. Behind all that is Mentz ...

Re: Troy Dannen : " No Comment "

While this was a pretty despicable act by Dannen, I don't know that anything could actually be done to him. I don't know what his contract with Nebraska says, but I'm not sure they would have grounds to fire him without payout. While sleazy and totally unethical, Dannen has committed no crime that ...

What would you expect to hear? We already know the IPF will be started after graduations end. If there are private conference negotiations going on, no one is likely to be leaking it to a public booster blog site.

You make my point of low bar syndrome. “better than last year” a reminder the most loses in Tulane baseball history happened last season.
So this year is a disappointment only because last year was so bad.

Re: Tulane Takes the USF Series

Basically we are now playing to make it to the AAC tournament. If we qualify we’ll have to win the AAC tournament to get a bid. Reminds me of basketball now. Regular season is basically pointless other than trying to avoid finishing in the bottom two. Disappointing season so far. I don't remember y...

How many AAU schools are out there that are D1 and non-P? There can't be many.

In a tie game, bottom of the ninth, we went down on 6 pitches. Still need some maturity and patience at the plate. In 10th, Banks at the plate with a 1-2 count. You know he's going to swing at something out of the strike zone before he walks. Strikes out swinging on 4th pitch. Still, we win the seri...

I believe that one of the conditions for keeping Hunter will be that Harris will be involved in scheduling. Hunter will have next year to prove how he can do in that environment. Most of us think it will not go very well, but maybe a leopard can change its spots when it's job is on the line.

AugWave, it's hard to ignore them, but you just have to. They make statements that are simply childish. Their basic premise is that they hate Tulane Athletics because they love it so much. I don't respond to them because it's not worth it. They think they have won because they get the last word, but...

Let me guess, the board thinks that Tulane is back to the bottom of the barrel now? Everything negative that happens, doom and gloom follows. Go take a walk outside. Kelly led the way in many regards to developing the NIL system that other schools have employed since. He understood it and was so instrumental in helping the football staff land many recruits. I would have preferred to keep Comarda as well, but remember er the terror being spewed here about losing Hester. We ended up with a trainer just as good or better. The current admin at Tulane wants athletics to thrive.

On Friday, Corey noted that UAB had a poor hitting avg but they were second in the conference at not striking out. It shows the value of just putting it in play. For anyone who watched today, most of UABs hits were just sticking the bat out and dinking, but it fell where no one was. Shulz did a simi...

Actually, had we done more on DEI would’ve been higher in the rankings. Did you actually look at how the methodology of the rankings changed? The reason for DEI at places like Harvard, is to compensate for all of the legacy admissions they give out. There aren’t a lot of minorities getting legacy a...

It was a joke, because some of you piss on the teams at the slightest adversity. Win 3 and we back, but lose 1 and fire everybody.
Unfortunately, that is an accurate description here.

DEI is on the wane in the real world. Universities and media usually feel they are intellectually and morally above the real world. We will see if DEI eventually declines with them as well.

It's time to stop the comparing to the Jackson St coach. None of us even know if she was interested in the job. She may have declined to be considered. We got a quality coach who really wanted the job and knows what she's dealing with on day 1. No learning curve.
