Re: McCleskey is aboard

Alex Atkins had often said that if he had his choice, no O lineman would see the field before redshirt sophomore year and that he was really high on some of the OL that have been redshirted and gaining strength the last 2 years. We are kind of getting to that point where we see what we have.

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Please end this waste of time we have the best coach credential wise in the history of the University and narrowly focused individuals that can't see in front their nose keep wanting to undermine every coach Dannon hires before they can establish a solid program. Dannon is giving the coaches free r...

Guys, injuries, Zang over his looked super against Memphis, Daniels coming back from injury, hard for any team to mess with the key injuries the Wave has. Grow up and look at the whole picture Debbie downers. Be positive, good game against Memphis!!! You are wasting your time here. When you have cl...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

gbgreenie: Calling us pea brains for wanting Dunleavy replaced shows your ignorance. He's had three years, and NONE of his recruits look anything like they're the ones to turn the program around. YOU ARE WHAT YOUR RECORD SAYS YOU ARE and Dunleavy's record is going to put him as the worst coach in T...

Hopefully the final death of a thread that got well beyond the actual facts and resorted to the usual name-calling and insults. But that's what happens when unfounded speculation rules the day.

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Dunleavy is here for this year and next, get stress out waste your breaths, If you can't see the overall issues. Boy from China hyper extended elbow, Daniel injured, Embo injured, Bennet throw to the wolves because of point guard shortage, A team with no point guard is a team with no quarterback. W...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Embo is not anywhere close to the talent Payton is. As noted above even with Frazier and Reynolds he didn't make a difference as far as winning. As I've said all along it's a matter of a lack of talent ,which is on Dunleavy, and a lack of coaching. As for affording to fire him that's TD's job to ta...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

I think many of you under-estimate the seriousness of trying to play Division I basketball without a point guard... at all. I mean this team really has nothing. Barrett may be OK at some point but he is terrible now and Cornish never was a ball handler. You can fault Dunleavy for being in this situa...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Wow. These kids might have just quit on Dunleavy. Quit!!?? They fought hard in the second half and cut it to 6 with 4 minutes left. They just couldn't make the shot or the stop when they had to. SMU doesn't appear to be as good as recent teams but losing by 9 is better than I expected. If this team...

Re: Will Hall to Troy?

A lot of you are jumping to conclusions re Will Hall. No reports that he interviewed for the job. Chill out. I personally am excited to have a highly sought after OC, especially one who is motivated to kick as much ass as he can (leading our offense) to get a better gig. Unverifyable hystery lives ...

Can you count the number of wins and losses? It's a fact that they tied for the division title. It's simple as that.

Re: Tulane v. FIU Date Announced

You people act like Tulane is Notre Dame with the ability to tell the networks when they will allow themselves to be broadcast. Ideally, we want everyone at the opening game, but if Tulane gets the opportunity to get some airtime as one of the first games of the football season, they should take adv...

Re: UCF GOFUNDME Site to Investgate SEC

The approach that should be taken is for G5 teams to just stop scheduling P5s until the P5s provide access. That would be monumental and could potentially bring real change, as P5s aren't going to schedule 12 P5s in the regular season. The problem here is that MANY of the Gs are content that they c...

Re: UCF GOFUNDME Site to Investgate SEC

The NCAA is almost certainly in violation of anti-trust laws, but I'm not sure what the alternative is or if it would be better or worse for the non-elite schools. Conferences are probably a necessity to create some sort of order and consistency with scheduling and rivalry. Once you have conferences...

Re: WBB 2018-19 Season thread

It was a nice win over ECU but what a disaster at that program. Eight-year coach Heather Macy resigned at the beginning of the season over something dealing with a "misunderstanding" over practice time. Then, the interim coach resigned in December over health issues.

I am proud of Houston’s commitment to winning and what it says about the aac (even if they are also positioning themselves to try and get a bid to a P5). And it seems unlikely to me that Dunleavy will be fired or resign this year. Why not? If he has one of the worst seasons in Tulane basketball history, and the team is clearly worse than it was 3 years ago upon his arrival, he deserves to be fired if he doesn't step down. I don’t know. I’m not a big fan of the constant hiring and firing of coaches. Usually not a winning formula in the long run. If you commit to hiring a coach, they deserve 3-4 years unless it’s a complete disaster. I agree. When you consider that most linemen are redshirted, three years is on the sh...
