Re: St. Louis Game Thread
Tulane hitters really tagging some of these balls and they just hang in the wind.

Wave hitting it hard, but if you get it in the air at all, it hangs and gets caught.

Re: Pepperdine Series Thread
Even though we lost the 3rd game, it's a good thing they played a double yesterday. The weather is terrible all day today.

Re: Going to be a long spring and summer for AD Harris
Do we still have the young man from Lafayette signed? Thought he was a big recruit? Hunter will need to find lightning in a bottle in the transfer portal. We have Sion and Holloway next year and a bunch of unproven players [Glenn, Daniel's, Woods, and redshirt big whose name escapes me]. Maybe Ron ...

Re: Going to be a long spring and summer for AD Harris
Discussing potential coaches is getting way ahead of the game at this point. I fully expect that Harris has a LONG discussion with Hunter about changes that need to be made. One of the things you worry about is whether Hunter is capable of changing due to his ego and his ability to coach any differe...

Re: UNT Beats Hunter-81-71
hunter needs to go. nobody is saying program is not better than after dunleavy, that was rock bottom. but that is no reason to keep him. anybody would have improved program literally The term "total FAILURE" was used. That pretty much implies zero improvement or getting worse. Is there an...

Re: Pepperdine Series Thread
Really hard to believe how long the umpires let it go when Moore absolutely could not grip the ball. The umps allowed the conditions to give Pepperdine 2 base runners before they halted.

I am also in favor of moving on, but you have to have absolutely no memory to think that the program now is the same as before Hunter.

Re: Pepperdine Series Thread
This can mean one of two things: A) today’s game will start ASAP, with a full double header tomorrow. Or B) Today’s game is postponed until tomorrow with game one to be completed tomorrow followed by game two. Anyone know which it will be? Hard to believe they are giving up on today with not much m...

You expect her to get fired walking off the floor at the last game? It hasn't even been a week and David Harris may be in Ft Worth.

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game
Has NIL slipped into women’s basketball? Expect any of these players to be potential NIL losses? it is my understanding that ALL Tulane atheltes get "paid," no matter their name, image or looks International students are not eligible for NIL because it would violate the conditions of thei...

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game
Outstanding performance by the women tonight. Excellent ball movement and defense. Charlotte looked uncomfortable shooting all night and Tulane rebounding was relentless. The ball movement led to several open shots and the women did a great job of finding the open player for some easy layups. Where ...

Wave up 3-0 in the 8th. An interesting thing happened to end the 7th. ULL batter struck out for 3rd out, but the ball got away from Tuft. As the batter ran to first, Tuft found the ball and threw it over the runner, who was running ON THE BASE LINE. If Tuft had hit him, we are thinking he should hav...

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game
Just let her become an asst. AD with fundraising responsibilities for the last 2 years of her contract. If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't take that offer. I'd let them fire me and pay out the contract. It depends on what she wants. She has openly expressed how anti-coach the current environment is...

Re: Donor Fatigue nationwide
We all know it's not the best system. The original intent was to allow players to "earn" money while being on scholarship, not to get money for just being there. As often, the courts hand down an idealistic opinion and leave the mess for others to clean up. Then, being that it happened dur...

Re: Thoughts on a day at the Ladies Basketball Game
The women stormed back in the second half with 45 points to beat SMU in the first round of the tournament. It's really a shame because Lisa Stockton is a good coach but has become a lazy recruiter. On the other hand, Coach Hunter is a good recruiter but a poor coach.

Re: ULL Series
This Tulane team has been fun to watch. While they are squandering opportunities, at least they give themselves a chance with the opportunities and have eventually come through with enough to win most games. Hopefully, they are still learning and getting better.

Re: NSD Moved Up
The whole situation really is a mess. Somehow, they have to balance bigger playoffs that make the season longer with being able to enroll newcomers for the Spring semester. If it gets to where teams are still playing when the Spring semester cutoff comes, what happens? Anyone still playing can't tra...

Re: WSU Game Thread
Hunter reminds me of former LSU coach, Dale Brown. He was a very questionable coach who always had talent to bail him out and mask his deficiencies. Brown even had a defense, the Freak, that he advertised as some unique invention. Brown, however, never went so far as to minimize offensive rebounding...
