Re: Houston wipes out the Wave 48-17

I am also disappointed in the offense, but I wouldn't use "conservative" to describe it. My problem is that the same play/read seems to be run over and over (between the tackles). There is no motion that spreads the field horizonatally, at all. If you don't feel like you have a good enough QB or rec...

Re: WBB Tulane beats LSU 56-54

When you look at the 6 women who got more than 15 minutes in this win, 3 are Freshmen and 2 are Sophomores. For anyone who has not seen the intensity and energy that Erin Gutierrez brings, it's worth a trip to Devlin.

Re: BOWL PROJECTIONS

The American Conference has 7 bowl tie-ins. We currently have 6 teams already bowl eligible with SMU and Tulane at 5-5. If it gets to a choice between SMU and Tulane both at 6-6, I would think SMU would be chosen because they beat us. Imagine finally getting bowl eligible and not having anywhere to ...

Re: Tulane Beats Coastal Carolina 81-76

We all have to remember that there are often 4 freshmen on the floor at the same time with this group. Crabtree has struggled (probably pressing too hard), but hit a couple of shots later in the game. Wood, who Dunleavy said shoots 90% at practice, has also struggled early in the season, but hit 3 o...

Re: Houston game week info

Applewhite said he’s not giving any reps to Ed Oliver this week and theyre all going to his backups. This definitely looks like Oliver is done for the season and will help wave significantly ! Thank God! Applewhite gets it. Ed Oliver probably would play if it were up to him. Thank God for Ed Oliver...

Re: Wave Wallops USF 41-15

I"m going to consider the lack of Dauphine touches, early in the season, as just another coaching blunder by Willie and the boys. Now that they have "discovered" Dauphine, perhaps they can now take the second step--getting Dauphine the ball in open space--flare passes, screen passes, pitch outs. I ...

Re: Coaching Changes

If Willie and the boys do leave, should TD "write the check" and go after Les Miles? Could we get him? Or is his payout still too rich for us? I could be wrong but we could pay Les $1 a year and LSU would be on the hook for $4,999,999. But he aint coming here or to any G5. Yet. It depends on what M...

Re: Coaching Changes

It's such an exciting time when you are picking a new football coach. There is so much optimism that the right coach will finally be found to turn around a program that is probably in disarray, and that the AD is serious "this time" in finding a winner. Usually, it turns out to be more of the same: ...

Re: Coaching Changes

I’ll chime in with a hot take. If Willie left, the cupboard would be more “bare” than what CJ left If you truly believe that, you've been asleep for three years. plus 1...CJ left NOTHING, most of his players had left school or was too lazy to improve themselves, he was a disaster as a HC, his reign...

Re: Tulane blows out USF and Kansas’ coach is fired the next days. Coincidence?

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we won and all. But c'mon, WF's record here is still putrid, and it'll take a string of convincing wins and a winning season to at least get any interest from other schools... I don't believe Kansas would be remotely interested in a 58 year-old coach whose head coachin...

Re: Wave Wallops USF 41-15

It's still too early to tell what McMillan's effect has been. His passing is no better than Banks but the team is winning (on the road). Maybe the reads are better before and during the play and that is the difference... maybe. Oho State was unwinnable and UAB is 8-1 with most of the wins being pret...

Re: Tulane blows out USF and Kansas’ coach is fired the next days. Coincidence?

The Kansas job is kind of like what a lot of people on this site say about the Tulane job... can't win, coach killer, dead end. I believe it's easier for Tulane to win in the AAC than for Kansas to win in the Big 12. Kansas football has more money than Tulane because of the conference, but the top-t...

USF women's program is easily the second best in the AAC. Jose Fernandez does a great job recruiting Southern Europe. Being a Cuban, he seems to speak their language there.

Cincy playing for a bowl bid this weekend. I would think we’ll get their best. If we are going to be a bowl team we need to win this type of game. I would think their bigger incentive is its homecoming weekend. I mean, they only need to go 1-6 in their last 7 to make a bowl .I hardly see a sense of...

I would have to think that a good number of people with season tickets in multiple sports are on this board. Is there ANYONE who can say they're the "average priority seating ticket holder" that's actually going to save the $1000? Anyone? Do we have next year's ticket prices yet? I agree. It's impo...

Maybe I am missing something. I don't see anything with regard to the prices of the tickets. It's hard to make decisions about how much you are willing to spend unless you have all of the information. I fully agree that basing donations per seat instead of some abitrary group of seats makes sense, b...

Wave offense: 22 first downs, 178 yards passing, 318 rushing for total offense of 496 yards!
It was really over 500 yds of offense. Gave up 10 yds kneeling to run the clock out.

Re: 2018 Tulane Volleyball season

Opening conference with 2 losses is kind of what happened last year once we got to AAC play. I understand we had a major injury to Kristen Thompson but is this year going to be similar to what happened last year?
