Re: AAC Opening Day only Tulane and WSU have been to the CWS

Up until recently (prior to Wichita St joining) only one school in the AAC has appeared in the CWS and that was Tulane in 2001 and 2005. It would benefit the conference greatly if we could send a few more to Omaha. I for one am looking forward to baseball after this disaster of a basketball season....

Re: President Fitts To The Rescue

No one will tell me or anyone else to stop posting on this issue. I am outraged that a failure like Dunleavy is allowed to coach this team any longer and I refuse to shut up. I am only going to get louder and more vocal on this issue the longer Dunleavy is here. The Dunleavy hire and his refusal to...

Re: President Fitts To The Rescue

As if there weren't already enough threads devoted to the get-rid-of-Dunleavy mission, here is a new one that brings a new level of stupidity. Dunleavy will be the coach next year! It's a stated fact by the person who matters most: Troy Dannen. Get over it. No level of carping on this site is going ...

Re: WBB 2018-19 Season thread

Gutierrez under utilized also? Unless she is injured, conference play and/or the grind of college basketball seems to have taken a toll on her. She doesn't seem to be as sure and aggressive as when the season started. Finally being called a couple of times for that carry-over dribble habit may have...

Re: WBB 2018-19 Season thread

It does seem eerily similar to the men in that they don't seem to be able to run offense to get the open shot and they turn the ball over a lot when pressured. I am starting to wonder if the staff doesn't need some sort of shakeup. It's been the same bunch for a long time.

This class was disappointing compared to the successes of the last recruiting cycle. I believe the size last year (25) had more of an impact on our rankings. (The more signees usually the higher the ranking) This time we only signed 20 kids. WF said he’s going for better kids not numbers from here ...

The guys played hard and no one ever gave up. With the 2 Africans apparently hurt, they only dressed out 9 and one was Galic, who never plays. Essentially, they had 8 available players. Also, watching Ona Embo shoot 3s at half, he would lift his left leg completely off the floor and shoot only off t...

Re: Mike Dunleavy is now worst of the worst

Daniels FG% - 44.2%, 3FG% - 32.9, TO/G - 2.8 Cornish FG% - 35.4%, 3FG% - 32.0 TO/G - 3.6 Cornish by far would have the lowest offensive efficiency. I was surprised by Daniels turnover numbers. But maybe I shouldn't have been. Dunleavy's chaos and chuck offensive scheme will make anyone look like a ...

Your history tells me that you are being sarcastic, but without a point guard, no one beats anyone; and this team has NONE that are active players.

Re: MBB lands best recruit since Honeycutt

I will say again that Dunleavy has said it takes 6 years to build a program. For better or worse, he is playing the long game. At a minimum, he will be the coach for one more year. I hate losing too but I have never built a college basketball program. Those who have probably know what that are talki...

Re: UConn Athletic Dept Generates $40M But...

With regard to the money problems, I remember that they had put a huge amount of money into their stadium and football resources when they were Big East football. They correctly anticipated big exposure and TV money in a conference with BC, Syracuse, Va Tech, Pitt, Miami, W Va. When that fell apart,...

It's kind of strange that Baylor ran Coach Barnes off. He seems to be pretty well respected everywhere else and obviously girls want to play for him. I guess we just got lucky.

Alex Atkins had often said that if he had his choice, no O lineman would see the field before redshirt sophomore year and that he was really high on some of the OL that have been redshirted and gaining strength the last 2 years. We are kind of getting to that point where we see what we have.

Embo is not anywhere close to the talent Payton is. As noted above even with Frazier and Reynolds he didn't make a difference as far as winning. As I've said all along it's a matter of a lack of talent ,which is on Dunleavy, and a lack of coaching. As for affording to fire him that's TD's job to ta...

I think many of you under-estimate the seriousness of trying to play Division I basketball without a point guard... at all. I mean this team really has nothing. Wow. These kids might have just quit on Dunleavy. Quit!!?? They fought hard in the second half and cut it to 6 with 4 minutes left. They just couldn't make the shot or the stop when they had to. SMU doesn't appear to be as good as recent teams but losing by 9 is better than I expected. If this team...
