Re: Moses Wood transferring to UNLV

These losers bought into Dumbleavy’s NBA background and were disappointed after going winless. They were average players and part of the problem as well. Good riddance to these bums. No respect for them. What kind of person says things like this about 18-20 year old kids who are just trying to play...

Re: Warnings Sound for College and Pro Football

It's interesting that American football has been played for over 100 years and only recently has this become a problem. It would seem that until about 30 years ago, football was being played by athletic guys with particular skills. They just went out there and played. What changed? There are a coupl...

Re: Ron Hunter new Tulane basketball coach

It doesn't take long listening to Coach Hunter to realize that he is odd. He comes to a program that had zero conference wins and talks about getting into the tournament next year. I like enthusiastic; worry about delusional. He doesn't even have a team yet and his first practice is in six months. I...

Re: Tough loss: Osetkowski to transfer to Texas

What if? What if Dylan Oski and Melvin Frazier had hung around through their senior years. How many more games would we have won? I'm guessing less than 9 conference games this year. Had Dylan stayed here, he would have already graduated last year. He added an extra year of sitting out to transfer ...

Re: whole lotta cheatin' goin on

Why has LSU not fired this scumbag ? There is no way the FBI tapes can be interpreted as anything other than a bribe with an unsolicited admission that wade has paid other bribes in the past with other "more talented" than Smart "more easily". And how could LSU allow smart to continue to play being...

Re: Why can’t a men’s bball coach succeed at Tulane ?

The rankings mean a lot less than the average "score" of the players. More players = higher ranking. Based upon the score of the classes, the last three were higher than any of CJ's. Getting back on thread topic: A good coach can succeed at Tulane. Hunter built a very strong program at a school wit...

Re: Ron Hunter new Tulane basketball coach

This time, I am in wait and see mode. I have been down this enthusiasm rabbit hole before. He seems like a great hire, he seems like a winner, I am not disappointed; but I will wait and see. I am tired of being terribly disappointed: Finney/Dickerson/Conroy/Dunleavy.

Re: Ron Hunter new Tulane basketball coach

Most significant of all Coach Hunter said : ' I will not tolerate negativity . Anyone who says 'I can't , get out . ' ' Easy to see that his players are coached hard and expected to do exactly what they are told . No whining . Easy to see how his teams win a lot of games . He had better stay away f...

Re: Why can’t a men’s bball coach succeed at Tulane ?

Devlin Fieldhouse is fine for now. Sell it out like we did for Perry Clark and we can move many of our games over to the state of the art SKC. This is really a non-issue. We just land an awesome basketball coach who is going to get this program turned around and we have all these negative ninnies, ...

Some of you automatically assume that playing in a full Devlin is not acceptable. No one has seen that for 25 years. Why don't you wait and see what it's like before you insist on destroying it. The kids and coaches may like it and see it as an advantage. They may not, but none of us know for sure. ...

We keep hearing the same complaints from the same people on this site about why we don't win (we all know who they are): the arena, the academics, the financial support, the history, ... To refute these, we don't have to look much farther than 80 miles up river. LSU suffers from none of these issues...

Re: Tulane Whips ULL 7-3

RPI this early is a joke. I looked at our conference opponents schedules so far and pretty much everybody is the same. Some of these rankings are on reputation. I like the way we are playing right now. Way better in all phases than last year. RPI is a formula. There are no biases. It’s calculated t...

Re: New AAC TV Contract Done

Terrible deal. Absolutely terrible. ESPN dumps the “mid-majors” on their ESPN+ platform where fans are forced to pay-up to watch. Now we are locked into getting less exposure then before. If Cincy, Houston, or UCF leave this deal will be re-negotiated down. Not including the Grant Rights was a huge...

Re: Great Fear The Wave Interview with OC Will Hall

I don't mind the faster play, but I definitely think it gets too fast at times. Watching Houston and (at times) LSU, they end up getting motion penalties at key moments because they snap the ball before everyone is set. It kills the momentum of the drive and actually allows the defense more time tha...

The vote of confidence was a calculated move. It’s there to protect and inspire the kids to keep playing hard for Dunleavy and help him recruit. I have said several times in these threads I wouldn’t be surprised if his public statement was akin to what houston did with applewhite. A calculated move...

Once the season is over and Dunleavy is NOT fired, can we get some agreement on when we stop dwelling on it? One week after the season ends? One week after NCAA Championship game? At some point we just need to move on to the next complaint. Let the Jewett hate begin, and we need to find something ab...

Re: USF hands Tulane it’s record 19th straight loss 75-70

They actually had several chances to win the game last night. The second half defense was good and forced USF into a couple of shot clock violations. Three notable occurances were when USF put up desperation shots just before the buzzer and all 3 went in (2 3's and a 2). The turning point was probab...
