Re: Tulane and LSU host FB camp in June

I'm sorry but the way and many times that school has F'd us, I don't see the reason to do ANY joint venture with them.... I tend to agree with this. What we should do is take Coach O's quote about the "need to protect Louisiana", and show it to every Big XII and ACC school. I would like t...

Re: Tulane and LSU host FB camp in June

Well, it's finally happened. I'm not sure whether it's a victory or a loss. http://www.nola.com/tulane/index.ssf/2017/05/lsu_and_tulane_to_combine_to_h.html#incart_river_mobile_home I wonder what made LSWHO change their tune? They went from we want nothing to do with you to hey let's cohost a footb...

Re: Yulman Expansion

What we would have to do is tear down the nimby side of the stadium and rebuild it entirely. Give it a steeper slope altogether and you could fit more seats there. You could then let a new upper deck overhang the lower deck and get more seats in the upper deck. You could do a controlled demolition ...

Re: Big 12 expansion

Notre Dame will never join the B1G. There is a long history of anti-Catholic exclusion and bigotry on the part of most B1G universities which dates back to the 19th & early 20th centuries. The priests and brothers of the Congregation of Holy Cross have long memories. Do you really think the Big...

Re: Big 12 expansion

Agreed, this buys us some time. I do however think that the Big XII got snookered by the compromise and Oklahoma is not happy about it. I've never thought that the Big XII had a rosy future and I think the OU to SEC rumblings will become louder. While I'm peeing in everybody's Cheerios, I'll also m...

Re: Tulane's New AD - Troy Dannen from UNI

Is it correct LSU AD Alleva is leaving LSU at the end of the year? I keep a pretty close check on LSU's rivals page, 247page, Dandy Don and once in a blue moon (when I am just really hating myself) I check Tigerdroppings, and I haven't heard anything about him leaving, but I was talking to a former...

Joe Alleva will be gone next year.
If that is true, I will fly to NOLA and give you a big kiss.

Actually not really but I hope you are right.

Alleva isn't going anywhere. He makes the LSUAD and TAF alot of $$$.

Re: Tulane's New AD - Troy Dannen from UNI

So basically, the series won't resume because LSU's leaders are d**ks? Par for the course. Some things never change. I remember how Dale Brown cancelled the basketball series because he said LSU needed the space on their schedule for more competitive games. Then, he scheduled Sacramento State becau...

Re: Tulane's New AD - Troy Dannen from UNI

I would love it, absolutely love it. At Northern Iowa, we played Iowa and Iowa State a home-and-home (in basketball) every year. We beat them more often than we didn’t, and that’s part of the reason that series went away (replaced by a game in Des Moines with Iowa and Iowa State alternating each ye...

Re: Tanner Lee

Not just Sportsnola. That would be the opinion by most, including Willie Fritz who obviously didn't think he has the mobility for his offense. I'm sad to see TL go to LSU as I doubt he'll ever see the field. He needs playing time and I don't think it's worth giving up another year of eligibility. A...

Re: Tanner Lee

"a pro-style talent with average at best mobility" Hey, Sportsnola's words, not mine. Ah yes. In a time when Rolling Stone and the NYT have been reduced to tabloids, by all means let's take SportsNOLA writing as pretty much gospel. I don't care. Just give me a qb that can sit in the pocke...

He's visiting LSU this weekend. From what I've heard it's a done deal. This is mind-boggling to me but I wish him well. I wonder if TOPPS is playing a role here No. First, LSU doesn't need TOPS to give scholarships to football players (although the walk on tackling dummies like myself sure did enjo...

I will ask once more...is the area in front of the Riley center, where the original Tulane Stadium Filed was located, is that large enough for an IPF ?... If so put at University of Texas type IPF on that sport, minimal infrastructure require, since it is an inflatable bubble and use the 50 yard, p...

Re: Fitts on Athletics

Tulane has 17 acres @ the jefferson highway property. Nova Southeastern's complex in miami is around 14 acres and it includes the Miami Dolphins facility. So there is room Tulane just needs the vision & the $$$$. It looks like Dannen has both. It will take time, but it could be done by 2020 or 2...

Re: Fitts on Athletics

I met Fitts at the UCF game, when the gf and I used her dad's Glazer Club tickets, and as an outsider I could tell he was not happy with the athletic situation. I could just tell from the tone of his voice. He was really interested when I told him that I was a former Tulane recruit, and that my cous...

I think yall made a slamdunk hire with Willie Fritz. I have been swamped at work this month (the life of a first year intern). I wish yall the best of luck and look forward to seeing to Tulane in the Miami Beach Bowl as the AAC's tie in next year, and then the Orange Bowl in 2018. P.S. Any advice on...

Re: Tulane Athletics Vision

Texas and Texas A&M no longer play... I am not so sure Arkansas misses their old SWC schools, they were convinced every official was against them in conference play. Tulane and LSU will both have new AD's, this may provide an opportunity to renew the series. Nope both Arkansas and Texas A&M...
