Re: No future expansion planned for the Big 12

The one unstated advantage that Tulane has over every other potential candidate for Big 12 is its ability to put dent in LSU recruiting if it is "elevated" in status. OK and UT want to win national championships in football. Helping someone/anyone diminish a nearby competitor that has a l...

Re: UCF

They had a great season. We'll never know if they would have been undefeated playing in a P5. If they were in say the SEC East, they would possibly get Ga., Fla, SC, and maybe Bama or LSU from the west in consecutive weeks. Far harder to win out with that type of schedule than the one they faced. St...

Re: Pooka Williams signs with Kansas

The only actual signing offer he had was Kansas. LSU was recruiting him but didn’t offer him to sign early. He supposedly has his ACT score but needs some core grades this spring. I’m sure he’ll eek by, can’t let the legend fail. Strange coincidence—-Baylor signed a Kid with almost identical ...

Re: Heard this on 3 tailgaters show this morning

Pooka has his ACT score and grades are enough for NCAA min. He isn’t dumb but took school lightly for too long. People have been trying to mentor him, Ed Reed has worked with him. Talent wise, he is a very very special runner. 4.27 40 at LSU camp (electronic timer) and amazing cut back ability. He w...

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring to EMCC

He's mobile, but not a great passer. Tulane doesn't run an Air Raid type offense like Tech. He's a better fit for the Tulane offense.

Re: Lindsey Scott commits to LSU now transferring to EMCC

I would like to see Scott @ Tulane, will it happen, I highly doubt it... If there is anyway for him to go to an SEC school that is where he will end up, especially if that school is on LSU's schedule in the near future... I would hate to see the young man end up at Kansas, and I have to admit I am ...

https://twitter.com/FearTheWaveBlog/status/937412147415457792 Damien Tate is the best high school football player in the Greater New Orleans area. Re: Football Recruiting 2018

It seems for the last several years now, a number of Louisiana recruits have chosen to go to Kansas instead of staying home. Doesn't look like they're producing much in the way of results. https://twitter.com/barstoolsports/status/921929997903949824 This local guy is a Kansas commit but word is he ...

Sorry to hear that. It was a privilege getting to know Mr. Don all those years with the Grounds Krewe. He was extremely knowledgeable about the game and just life in general and I always enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed.

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

fau put up 326 yards on navy last week and we only managed 262. i thought willie was supposed to be some offensive whiz? Well, a lot of it has to do with your starting qb going down very early in the game. Our backup QB came in and did better than Banks. TPS that's not fair to Banks. Banks/offense ...

What did he say? Just don't understand why he would do that. Doesn't he have more important things to do like talk about the Saints chin straps or Coach O's great record as a head coach. I just don't get it. Tulane is the largest employer in New Orleans and all these people do is treat us like crap...

24-20 Wave but could go either way. Grambling is not deep but they aren't as bad as some of you seem to think. Battle of Bands, Grambling wins in blowout.

5-7 maybe 6-6 if things go right. Key will be staying injury free in the first month. OU could be brutal, especially with them coming off a loss to tOSU.

2 Private school stadiums that opened the same year. One cost $270 M, the other $75 M. I know conference and TV money is vastly different but Yulman could have been so much better had the administration not given in to the NIMBYs. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTUL4cO-zXtR5aPn...

He was the only returner who should have gotten an increase and instead was cut. Unless Jewett has some secret signees stashed away a .500 record next year is a pipe dream. The class that was listed here had no highly ranked players and rumour is a few of those aren't coming.
