Re: SMU Score Prediction

Wave cruise 37-17 SMU bad road team. True, but this year their road loses were to North Texas, Michigan & UCF? This. All of their losses are "good" losses by midlevel and below G5 standards, which makes them not unlike Tulane (Michigan, North Texas, and UCF versus Ohio State, Wake Forest, Cincinnat...

Re: While I am ranting

I'm not sure if Tulane could count games at the superdomes as home games. Speaking of ranting, I'm concerned that Tulane will manage to win 6 games this season against a super weak AAC West, Tulane admin/coaches will celebrate at how good Tulane is, and then, when Tulane isn't bowl eligible in 2019 ...

The Re: CFN's week 6 Rankings & Bowl Projections

The AAC West is bad, but I'm still not confident that Tulane can capitalize on that. Navy, SMU, and Tulsa -should- all be wins given their poor performances so far, but, of course, that was said about UAB.

Even if Tulane won those games, it still would not be a "good" team.

It’s time for him to go.

This year, the AAC West is crap, Wake and UAB aren’t that tough, and Fritz doesn’t appear to be able to capitalize on year 3 of his tenure. Odds are, the AAC West won’t be this crappy again in the near future.

Re: How Many Regular Season Games Will Tulane Win?

Tulane needs to defeat a team that beaten someone in order to start receiving the benefit of the doubt. Even though Cincinnati hasn't defeated any world beaters, beating them would be significant since they are 1 win versus Tulane away from likely being in the top 25 given how strong they have looke...

5 games into the season, and Tulane has yet to figure out a way to win close games.

I don't know what the final score will be, but I predict a Tulane loss.

Re: This just in...Iowa State

It's a step in the right direction, but it's likely that this home and home is a result of ISU's need for new recruiting grounds. if that is true...Nebraska must be next on the list !!!! Haha hey - Louisiana recruiting should be Tulane's pitch for home and homes, as Northwestern, Iowa State, and Ka...

Re: Line Opens Cincinnati 7.5 pts. > Tulane

Cincy playing for a bowl bid this weekend. I would think we’ll get their best. If we are going to be a bowl team we need to win this type of game. I would think their bigger incentive is its homecoming weekend. I mean, they only need to go 1-6 in their last 7 to make a bowl .I hardly see a sense of...

Re: What was that?

Memphis played NO ONE. They lost to a bad Navy team. Tulane had a narrow ACC loss in OT, a failed away comeback, and Ohio State. We aren't good, but we were more tested than Memphis. This. Memphis may actually not be as good as UAB and was exposed in a loss to a Navy team that lost to Hawaii. That ...

The Big 12 has always been, and will continue to be, a top 3 conference in terms of revenue distributed to its members when tier 3 revenue is included (tier 3 revenue is automatically included in payouts in the other 3 P5s, but, in the Big 12, each team is paid on its own separate contract so that ...

Re: New Athletic Director

I still think there's a real possibility of going to 4 conferences of 16 teams. Tulane would remain on the outside looking in. I also think the overall money is going to go down on a per school basis for the Power Conferences. And the "Power" conferences are very likely to form their own division, ...

Re: New Athletic Director

Part of the issue is the uncertainty and disagreement on what would constitute athletics success (is it winning 8 games regularly? Is it moving to a power conference?) and whether that definition of success would be achievable as there is an endless sea of G5 teams that have strung together seasons ...

Re: Wave beats the Wave Again as UAB wins 31-24

My impression is that Abraham was more of a pocket passer and he wanted to come to Tulane due to CJs pro-style scheme. Fritz’s arrival indicated that Tulane was lookin for a more athletic QB, regardless as to whether Fritz actually sat him down and told him that.

Re: Wave beats the Wave Again as UAB wins 31-24

Tulane's solution is that it needs to go full-on spread, but the issue is that Louisiana doesn't have that many spread HS teams, so Tulane would need to focus recruiting on Texas in order to avoid having to recruit and teach Louisiana players how to play spread football.

Rice added tuition in the 1950s, I believe, and this new change is now the closest that they have been to being tuition free since that time.
