Re: Early Signing Period 2018

Ben Tate https://twitter.com/pbr_louisiana/status/963503112345571329 So we're giving out scholarship offers three years from now? He's class of 2021. Who knows where we'll be by then? I would think that given he's the number one recruit in the state for the 2021 class, we'll probably still want him...

Re: Spring Game Thread

It was a nice mild night with low humidity and a light southerly breeze. There were refs of course. They also had the new digital sideline markers which gave you the distance to go after each play. I read an article in The Advocate where WF blamed the down makers as to why we couldn’t convert a 3rd ...

Re: Wave finally beats UNO, 4-3

The source was tps not Smith. He never mentioned who they played tonight. They had a separate article about UNO's game written by someone else and it said they played Southern. I saw it. UNO won 7-5. Southern lost its 9th straight. http://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/southern/article_4a20...

Re: Wave finally beats UNO, 4-3

Reality check.. From the Advocate "UNO was coming off a 21-inning doubleheader at Lamar on Sunday and faces four more games in the next five days, so the Privateers went to the bottom rungs of their pitching staff and still came close to topping Tulane." Uno plays LSU tonight Consider the source Gu...

Re: SELA Whips the Wave Game 9-3

Just got home from the game. It’s out 6th straight midweek loss. We looked like we were just going through the motions out there. No emotion. It looks to me like we don’t expect to win anymore. Misplayed another pop up in the infield. Same mistakes every game. Weak midweek pitching, lack of bullpen...

That's too bad that the Dodgers organization didn't realize the severity sooner (or perhaps continuing to pitch drove the injury to the point where it needed Tommy John surgery?) At this point he's done for the year, and possibly into next season. The Dodgers shut Corey down last year as soon as he...

Augie Garrido, the winningest coach in the history of college baseball, died Thursday at the age of 79, a few days after being hospitalized with a stroke. All of us who work in college baseball owe Augie a great debt of gratitude — he was a giant in our world, and he did as much for college baseball...

Before the season started I think everyone figured we would be 2-4 or 3-3 at best
Wright State took 2 from ULL in Lafayette
Lamar split a 4 game series with Hofstra. Double headers Friday and Saturday. They are 3-5
Cal St Fullerton drop the series 1-2 against Houston

Re: Baseball Website

Note to the scoreboard operator. During an inning you don’t put the run in the inning box until after the inning is complete. You only put it in the total box. Otherwise it looks like that inning is complete. Was very confusing to watch the scoreboard yesterday. Also there was a mixup of balls and ...

Another good night at the park. As Houma said we got three great innings out of Ross. He came in and immediately gave up a walk. He then got 9 straight outs. In TJ's appearance on PTS a week before the season when asked about Ross he said he looked like freshman Ross. The way he said it didn't seem...
