Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Please end this waste of time we have the best coach credential wise in the history of the University and narrowly focused individuals that can't see in front their nose keep wanting to undermine every coach Dannon hires before they can establish a solid program. Dannon is giving the coaches free r...

I don't know how much stock to put into this, but at some point Coach Fritz has to tell Will Hall that he's either here through the 2019 season, or he's gone. No more interviews. This is getting old fast.
Right, let’s bring in another Doug Ruse type that nobody else would ever want

Re: The Pelican struggles since acquiring AD

I think even if they had brought in a new coach and GM this season, it would have been too late to do enough to keep AD.

Re: The Pelican struggles since acquiring AD

The playoff run last year might have been ghe worst thing to happen to the Pels. Going to have to deal AD in the off season. It might have sped up the process but he was going to be leaving soon enough if they didn’t put a roster around him that could contend. As everyone else has stated Demps has ...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Pels clean house of Demps and gang. MD hired as Pels GM Tulane off the hook for his salary. Dunleavy and family stay in NOLA. MD would be an excellent NBA GM convinces AD to stay a Pel. TD goes out and finds the next up & coming coach for the Wave. Everyone wins. Christ himself couldn’t convince AD...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

And it seems unlikely to me that Dunleavy will be fired or resign this year. Why not? If he has one of the worst seasons in Tulane basketball history, and the team is clearly worse than it was 3 years ago upon his arrival, he deserves to be fired if he doesn't step down. Dannen has preached success...

Re: Guerry Smith

McKenzie Milton didn’t play and 8 LSU defensive starters didn’t play. Not sure why we’re talking about them. UCF benefited from a non call on an obvious DPI/holding when they got the pick 6. It’s not a bogus stat. You just don’t get it. I’ll tell you right now that Vegas uses these types of numbers ...

Re: Guerry Smith

If nothing else, this post should get merged into the 36 or 37 page Geurry Smith thread we've got. UCF was not dominated. And the best player for either team was on crutches on the UCF sideline. Similar to last year's game versus Auburn, Auburn out gained and had longer time of possession. What was...

Re: Guerry Smith

There's this thing called postgame success rate: you can read about it at the bottom of this link but more or less it tells you what percentage chance each team would have to win the game based on the stats that occurred. It gives LSU a 99% chance to win that game over UCF based on the stats. https...

Re: Guerry Smith

Simple answer. The winner would be easy to pick but that doesn't equate to domination which is what you claim happened. Like I said stats are for losers. They only stat that counts is the final score and they lost by 8. I agree. All anyone had to do was watch the game. If Mack doesn't over thrown a...

Re: Guerry Smith

if anyone really watched the game, UCF was up 14-3 and just stopped LSU on a 4th down play, only to have the ref throw a flag for the DL on UCF for unsportsmanlike conduct, giving LSU a first down. This changed the whole game. UCF would have scored again and put LSU in a big hole. Instead, LSU gets...

Re: Guerry Smith

This game is a perfect example of why they stats are for losers. UCF was not dominated . They lost by 8 and were most certainly in the game. throughout. UCF does what RR taught the world to do- scheme around your deficiencies such as inferior line play. Simple question winwave. If I tell you team A...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Fucking semantics.

I’m not that impressed by winning the PAC 12 tournament when you’re the coach at UCLA. That’s the expectation there.

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Wizard, I agree that it’s impressive, but the conference tournament champion is the conference champion and goes to the big dance. That’s the goal. No coach goes into the year more concerned about winning the regular season title than getting to the NCAA Tourney. This isn’t a debate because everyon...

Re: Guerry Smith

Not even going to bother arguing with you guys. Your hatred for LSU and love for the underdogs has blinded you. Look at the yards per play for and against. LSU dominated both sides of the ball. UCF was extremely fortunate to only lose by 8. The BS you guys are spewing is ridiculous. Greedy Williams ...

Re: Guerry Smith

UCF played with a backup freshman QB and therefore struggled. Their starter would've given LSU fits. There is no denying the gaping difference between these 2 QBs. And LSU played without 8 defensive starters. Milton would have been better but the UCF offensive line couldn’t handle the LSU d line. T...

Re: Guerry Smith

Well, had a little twitter war with this “sportswriter” over his claim that lsu downright embarassed UCF in the Fiesta. I stated that I felt an 8 point loss was not an embarrassment and that UCF had a couple of dropped passes that could have resulted in a UCF victory. He promptly stated that no one...

Just fired from UCLA, you’re getting excited over another Toledo hire? Not me. Toledo? I don’t get that comparison. His resume didn’t include 24 winning seasons at 5 different schools. Toledo didn’t have 21 post season appearances as well. Alford, (who has 10 conference championships), has kept eac...

Re: AAC Baseball Coaches Poll

You can take polls with a grain of salt. Our pitching will be better this year. Chase Solesky has recovered from his back injury and Josh Bates has improved. Connor Pellerin will be our closer and Brendan Cellucci could also provide quality innings. Justin Campbell had a solid summer and Ryan Green...
