Re: Houston wipes out the Wave 48-17

Clearly, the read triple option we thought we were buying that he ran at Georgia Southern has never really been seen at Tulane. The word I am hearing is the AAC corners and linebackers are appreciably faster than for the Mighty 'Belt and this explains why we have never seen his Georgia Southern off...

Can you say "red shirt"? 6'9" and 205 lbs, and only averaging 6..8 ppg (as a Junior) screams red shirt to me. Had to first watch some film. But I agree 100%. A Rivals 3 star kid that needs work. Also unimpressed by the school’s recruiting him. Avg jumping ability generally a lack of athleticism. A ...

That doesn't address the SOS issue. There is a difference. There just is. Like golf I think their #12 ranking is rightful recognition of it. Here's the problem with SOS. Its biased from the beginning. If you were to put the 12 AAC school ranked as #1 to #12 at the beginning of the year, most of us ...

I never said Willie Fritz was getting the Kansas job but he’s got as much a chance as McNeil

Re: Tulane blows out USF and Kansas’ coach is fired the next days. Coincidence?

If I wanted to read puff pieces about Ruffin McNeill I could have googled them myself. He was a middle of the pack coach in the AAC, he’d likely be the worst coach in the Big 12. I’d be shocked if Kansas wanted him. I wouldn’t even really want him if Tulane was looking for a coach.

Kansas ain't going to hire Willie...... Les Miles, Todd Orlando, Sonny Cumbie, Ruffin McNeil, Bill Clark and others, will all get calls, long before The Willie It’s Kansas, I’d bet more than 1 of those on your list would turn down any offers Kansas can realistically make. I’m also not sure why Ruff...

Let him be handing off to Huderson instead of Daupine and the result would be different. His passing is awful. Thank goodness we are facing bad defenses.
JM isn’t anything special but he’s clearly proven your theory that Banks was the only thing keeping us in the games incorrect

If the throw is made out to the sideline, there’s nothing #16 can do to defend that pass

Re: Is this receiver open?

Tulane’s #15 is only open if a QB can finesse the pass over SMU’s #16–Banks can’t do that. So with Banks at QB #15 isn’t open. And there is definitely a pocket for Banks to step up into, which I gather he didn’t do, again. Was this scramble one of his fumbles? He’s either open or he’s not, it’s got...

Is this receiver open?

Shouldn’t this ball have been thrown out to the sideline to # 15? Looks like a lot of separation to me

Re: Ruse and Banks

Bullshit. On that last drive he's checking down and finding receivers. He extends plays with his athleticism. No one can be successful behind this line and with this play calling. The people on our forums like you are in the minority. Others see how if not for Banks we would have no chance at all ....

Re: Ed Daniels

Let's be honest no one knows the buyout amount. I don't think it's nearly what some think. Usually when you get an extension such as his it's more for recruiting purposes and the extra years aren't included in the buyout. I hope that’s the case but that’s usually just when you have like 1 year left...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

Tulane should hire Ruffin McNeill as head coach. Ruff should have never been fired by ECU as they are a disaster under their successor coach. Ruff usually had ECU winning more games than they were losing and going to bowl games even though they were never one of the top teams in the conference. Ruf...

Go watch the play with about 5;50 left in the game. Robertson is open, he's asking for trouble when he tries to cutback after a rollout. Your points arent really relevant to the discussion. Banks isnt above criticism, there's a lot of valid complaints about his play. Just because the rest of the ro...

The line does suck but I dont understand being a strong defender of Banks right now. His escapability hasn't been anything special this year and any positives it has given us is negated by his carelessness with the football. It's not about being a strong defender of banks. And when the day comes to part comany with Fritz, if his son is still on board the staff, watch him carefully because he'll do what he can to sabotage your program on his way out the door. I can only guess this has been in the works under the assumption this past spring and summer that football would be a 7-9 win team with basketball improving and baseball making the postseason. Dannen is betting on the coaches he has hired. Having watched said coaches, I have to say he’s got some se...

Back to finding a replacement for Fritz. How about Chip Lindsay the offensive coordinator at Auburn? I followed him when he was the oc at Southern Miss under Todd Monken and was very impressed by his offensive scheme and play calling. Have you seen Auburn play offense lately? Not good and it’s not ...
