Re: Tulane Athletics ranked tied for last in NCAA

This so called objective ranking did not take into account our Qudditch or Bowling teams' recent success. This totally skews the study. If the above mentioned had been considered we would have moved up at least 4 spots.

I have to say that on paper Ohio State lines up favorably against the Wave. Time for another cocktail.

Re: 32, 211, last 7

Historically the only proven way to drive up views on this site is to bring Tanner Lee into a discussion. I can't think how he fits into the current chain but perhaps someone more well versed with Tannerism can assist.

Re: AAC Tourney

The year after next, the Mobile BayBears leave for Huntsville. I wouldn't mind have the AAC tourney at Hank Aaron Stadium. It should come cheap. I like this idea. Mobile does smaller level athletic events very well (think Senior bowl), is centrally located and has a lot of good, inexpensive lodging...

Re: AAC Tourney

Up until the end I was waiting for the punchline. The bottom of the 9th had all the hallmarks of another classic meltdown. Thankfully, Tulane pulls out a convincing win after allowing a flurry of bottom of the ninth runs.. One interesting thing is that we did not go through pitchers and should be in...

Re: ULL Game Thread

While Laffy doesn't have the glitzy record of ULM they are still a good defensive team. Their performance against LSU was impressive although they have certainly been, to say the least, an up and down team. Hopefully we get this game under our belts before moving on to bigger challenges such as USM ...

ULM BASEBALL

Congrats to the ULM Warhawks who are putting together a heck of a season. Their pitching looks to be the key to their season and they have been able score when necessary.

Re: SELA BASEBALL

As expected, Matt Riser is doing a great job with SELA this year. They stand at 3-1 and, although they have not faced any strong opponents yet they will be playing U Conn this weekend in Hammond followed by LSU in Hammond on Weds. This bring up fond memories of the gone but never forgotten John Hai...

Re: Tulane Sweeps Wright State Series

Wright St may turn out to be garbage. We’ll have to wait and see on them. The real RPI test will be this weekend on the road in Oxford. Pierce beat them up there in a Regional last time we went up there so let’s do it again. Jones also had a lot of success in Oxford. Hopefully Jewett can follow alo...

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

Anthony Lewis Jr, 6'4 225lb TE out of Mobile who was high on Tulane for a long while announced today he'll be heading to Troy. This is seriously confusing to me. Guy had offers to play at Harvard, Yale, Miss State, Kentucky, Indiana, Navy, Army. And he picks TROY!?!? For a guy that had his parents ...

Re: ASU OC Billy Napier New ULALA Head Coach

I think this is a clear indication that ULLa (or whatever the current "branding" is) intends to fight its way back into contention for Sunbelt Conference Western Division title within a short couple of years. It is not too much to expect that we will soon see the Laffy Cajuns contesting the Dollar G...

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

On the major recruiting sites Patrick Shegog is still listed as a Tulane commit. I know he re-opened the process in mid November but does he still have an offer and an interest in playing at Tulane?

Hud canned at ULL I didn't see that coming.... Should have. We have a new AD who's serious and the president is letting him do his job. This has nothing to do with having a new AD that's serious and everything to do with Hud not producing any more. Look for ULL to make a move for Tim Rebowe at Nich...

On a slightly different note, it seems to me that there was a noticeable uptick in student interest and attendance. Obviously, winning more games will be the most important factor in a significant uptick in student interest but it does seem that there is at least a bit of interest. This slight rise ...

One bright side about the article is that Tulane was never mentioned. I am used to seeing articles about ACC Basketball mention Tulane as a drag on the conference etc. Baby steps.

Our fans amaze me. We are ONLY 3-2, wins are against Granbling and 2 other so so teams. Why would anyone begin this stupid conversation?
