Re: ULL Game Thread

While Laffy doesn't have the glitzy record of ULM they are still a good defensive team. Their performance against LSU was impressive although they have certainly been, to say the least, an up and down team. Hopefully we get this game under our belts before moving on to bigger challenges such as USM ...

ULM BASEBALL

Congrats to the ULM Warhawks who are putting together a heck of a season. Their pitching looks to be the key to their season and they have been able score when necessary.

Re: SELA BASEBALL

As expected, Matt Riser is doing a great job with SELA this year. They stand at 3-1 and, although they have not faced any strong opponents yet they will be playing U Conn this weekend in Hammond followed by LSU in Hammond on Weds. This bring up fond memories of the gone but never forgotten John Hai...

Re: Tulane Sweeps Wright State Series

Wright St may turn out to be garbage. We’ll have to wait and see on them. The real RPI test will be this weekend on the road in Oxford. Pierce beat them up there in a Regional last time we went up there so let’s do it again. Jones also had a lot of success in Oxford. Hopefully Jewett can follow alo...

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

Anthony Lewis Jr, 6'4 225lb TE out of Mobile who was high on Tulane for a long while announced today he'll be heading to Troy. This is seriously confusing to me. Guy had offers to play at Harvard, Yale, Miss State, Kentucky, Indiana, Navy, Army. And he picks TROY!?!? For a guy that had his parents ...

Re: ASU OC Billy Napier New ULALA Head Coach

I think this is a clear indication that ULLa (or whatever the current "branding" is) intends to fight its way back into contention for Sunbelt Conference Western Division title within a short couple of years. It is not too much to expect that we will soon see the Laffy Cajuns contesting the Dollar G...

Re: Football Recruiting 2018

On the major recruiting sites Patrick Shegog is still listed as a Tulane commit. I know he re-opened the process in mid November but does he still have an offer and an interest in playing at Tulane?

Re: Coaching Changes

Hud canned at ULL I didn't see that coming.... Should have. We have a new AD who's serious and the president is letting him do his job. This has nothing to do with having a new AD that's serious and everything to do with Hud not producing any more. Look for ULL to make a move for Tim Rebowe at Nich...

Re: Post season analysis

On a slightly different note, it seems to me that there was a noticeable uptick in student interest and attendance. Obviously, winning more games will be the most important factor in a significant uptick in student interest but it does seem that there is at least a bit of interest. This slight rise ...

Seems I can remember a left-handed QB at Tulane a half century ago who did a pretty good job running Tulane’s offense.

One bright side about the article is that Tulane was never mentioned. I am used to seeing articles about ACC Basketball mention Tulane as a drag on the conference etc. Baby steps.

Our fans amaze me. We are ONLY 3-2, wins are against Granbling and 2 other so so teams. Why would anyone begin this stupid conversation? It's early October, the man is going to be 58...who says he wants to keep staring over? He is not a world beater yet. Our improvement is relative to our "stink" o...

I would pay just about as much attention to their exercise of free speech as if they had stood up and put their hand over their heart or if they gave an pro-PETA interview deploring the cruelty inherent to animals in serving cooked meat at home games. I tend to support peoples right to freedom of sp...

I predict a 7 win/5 loss season capped with a bowl victory at the prestigious Cure Bowl against the University of South Alabama. The Cure Bowl will be attended by 16,000 people, 8,500 of whom were provided free tickets by Disney. The Bowl will attract well over 21,728 viewers on TV. The highlight of...

You're certainly entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. The NCAA report did not find that "some" on the Cajun staff were not cooperative with their investigation. They found that a single individual, the one responsible for the violations was not cooperative and he was fired from th...

Re: GSU NCAA SANCTIONS

GSU looks like it is taking responsibility for NCAA violations and working to ensure that no repeats occur. This is a more responsible, proactive approach than was demonstrated by UL-Laf and certainly more responsible than is being shown by Ole Miss. The GSU violations look less serious than those ...
