Re: The Saints/Rams Game

da rule https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/wild-nfl-rule-allows-roger-goodell-to-reverse-rams-saints-outcome-but-would-he-actually-use-it/ Goodell really should do it. I mean, he'd have fewer people pissed off in LA than he does right now in New Orleans and the rest of the country. They have no fan...

Re: UConn Athletic Dept Generates $40M But...

During the 60's, 70' & 80's whole swaths of entire ACC rosters were from Pennsylvania, New Jersey & New York
I am glad a Connecticut kid worked out for TCU.
If you think Fairfield County has anything to do with Connecticut & New England you are crazy.

Re: UConn Athletic Dept Generates $40M But...

Meh. I am originally from the big east area, and I hate their smug elitism. So based on this- football lost 8m. Cool, so if the AAC gets 10m or even 9m a season per team as reported, can we shut the bitchy catholic school, basketball only (and aspiring uconn) fans up as their shitty team breaks eve...

Re: UConn Athletic Dept Generates $40M But...

How did their women’s team lose $3 million. They dominate the sport in every way. Yep. I was wondering that as well. Sounds like funny business there. If UCONN women’s basketball loses money there’s no hope for any WBB program out there. I was on campus in Storrs, CT when a bus pulled up in front o...

Re: New O-Line Coach ?

If only some of the Sam Pittman magic dust was absorbed by this guy we should be ok. I think there is little doubt that Cody Kennedy understands the zone blocking schemes from his prior coaching experience. But for him to be exposed to the pro scheme at Georgia by a legendary O-line coach is icing o...

What do you want to know about Mack Brown? I have known him since I was 14 years old. He was one of my older Brother's position coach for three years after he left Florida State as a GA.. I always thought that he was wonderful until he showed up on Willow Street to clean up "Wally English's mess". S...

Re: Football Recruiting -- 2019

On the subject of Jeff Woods, it seems he's only got a few interested schools. His interests are listed as ECU, UConn and Tulane. That's it. No smaller schools, no FCS, nothing. Woods will be attending....UConn...said he wants to experience all 4 seasons of the year Randy Edssall's re-run all in lo...

Re: Football Recruiting -- 2019

Jalen Hurts would make McM look like JV. Seriously, did you think he was all that great? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, especially since he only came into the program in late August. But IF we had a chance (and we dont) to land the former SEC Player of the Year, he'd immediately be first s...

Re: Will Hall to Troy?

Clearly, Troy seems to have interest. Just because it isn't/wasn't reciprocal interest, does not make it less relevant to whether he should be considered "highly sought after". Try to keep up, Cajun What are you talking about? Are there reports that Hall interviewed with Troy, or not? Or are you sa...

Re: Will Hall to Troy?

A lot of you are jumping to conclusions re Will Hall. No reports that he interviewed for the job. Chill out. I personally am excited to have a highly sought after OC, especially one who is motivated to kick as much ass as he can (leading our offense) to get a better gig. +1,000,000 This! Please, le...

They should be in the ACC & Louisville in big 12. Hard to recruit top end mid-atlantic talent to play opposing teams half way across country.

Re: UH fires the Major

I don’t know. I’m not a big fan of the constant hiring and firing of coaches. Usually not a winning formula in the long run. If you commit to hiring a coach, they deserve 3-4 years unless it’s a complete disaster. I agree. When you consider that most linemen are redshirted, three years is on the sh...

He left Temple “at the altar”. Leaves after two weeks to take Miami job. Took the Temple job on Dec. 13 and signed his first recruiting class with the Owls a couple of days later. Wow poor Temple except for the $4 million they going to get from Miami for stealing him back. https://www.cbssports.com...

Mack Brown related the story about when he was at Tulane Darryl Royal and several others were there as advisers to evaluate the Tulane's program. I sure wish Tulane had President Khator during our undefeated football season under Bowden.. Re: QB's of the past (favs, follies, wasted potential, etc.

Nickie Hall could flat-out throw, helped to have Robert Griffin and Rodney Holman on the other end. Hall spent some brief time on the Packers roster. Wade Elmore was overshadowed, but was a good guy. Paul Catanese (California), and Wade Elmore were the one and two QB's going into 1981. Mike McKay w...

Tulane was Reggie Collier's first choice out of high school. It was Nickie Hall's presence at Tulane that made him choose Southern Miss. Can you imagine what those two QB's could have done with the RPO?

Re: Football Recruiting -- 2019

Just watched 247 highlights on Caleb Thomas. Has the body to play inside on the DL with some good moves to get penetration and a low center of gravity to play stoutly at the point of attack. Doesn’t appear to have the foot speed to play on the outside. Get him up to 290 and we have another pretty g...
