Re: OSU Coach on Leave

for what it is worth...I spoke to someone who thinks they are connected to the OSU program, he tells me Urban will be reinstated by Friday I'm sure no one would be surprised at that. As Edwin Edwards famously stated about his own tenure, the only way to get rid of him would be to release pictures o...

Re: Ed Daniels

The RPO is what this guy was born to run. Where is the conflict? He went to a Pro offensive scheme at LSU. He has great athleticism & wheels. From what I read he hasn't played enough football since being injured in high school. I hope the Juco he's transferring to runs the RPO because he needs to ta...

Re: Ed Daniels

I can only guess that Lowell Narcisse is a talented young man who has already been exposed to the bright lights. Let's hope that there's enough wisdom derived from that exposure to make a sound decision for post JUCO. I hope he chooses to enroll at Tulane next January. I'm stunned at what Ed Daniels...

Re: Fall Camp 2018

What I'm most looking forward to seeing. A: How Coach McKleskey has prepared the corners, nickle & dime backs. B: How the returning d-lineman play and how quickly the young guys up front get put into the rotation. If we play well up front and can show cover 1 & 0 with credibility on the backside, we...

Re: SMU rolls out lower concession prices

Another off-topic rant: I prefer watching women's tennis to men's in spite of the sub-par execution (I can actually see the ball), I enjoy watching high school & NCAA football because I like watching a wing-T vs a veer & an RPO vs wishbone. The NFL execution is amazing but from a strategy & tactics ...

Re: Dannen drop kicks a C-USA hornet's nest

We spent 1 year in the New C-USA and made a bowl; we had equal or better teams in 2014, 16 and 17, but simply played much more difficult schedules. 2015 was probably as good as 2013 too, but they just gave up and packed it in. How.long would you have held up with that clown show? How many games of ...

The staff has him slated for the O-Line. That's too bad for him. He clearly identifies as and enjoys d-line (100% of his Hudl reel is d-line). His long term health prospects are looking up with his transition to o-line within a zone blocking rpo. Sorry you've been relegated to bovine status - your ...

have to admit, I am dazed and confused by the love for SMU and Houston, I know UH picked up several grad transfers, but the still have Johnny Appleseed for a Coach.. I am not sold on Spike Dykes and neither are the SMU players, I can see that team imploding and fast...Navy is Navy, they get between...

Re: The Perfect Season

The RPO genie popped out of the bottle right smack dab on Tulane's campus. We hung more points on the board than anyone else could keep up with. There wasn't a DC in the country who knew how to stop it in 1998.
Thanks, Coach Rodriguez!

The Dome was never the problem for Tulane Football. FYI, here is what Temple pays to rent Lincoln Financial Field. Currently, the school pays $1 million a year to use the stadium (166,666 per game 6 home games). For a new 30-year lease, the Eagles are asking for $2 million a year plus $12 million u...

We're going to have to beat the middling P5 programs & somewhere in the not too distant future we are going to have to pull off a top fifteen victory. We will always be treated as the Sh*tbird program until we start defeating good teams. If/when the football coaching staff leaves, let us all hope th...

Re: Granier De-commits

If he has legitimate notions of playing on Sundays the RPO is not helpful. Particularly for "bubble" o-lineman. NFL teams have very little time and patience converting rpo o-lineman to pro technique. (à la Junior Diaz) The same can also be said of gap charging d-lineman vs. the RPO. It is a good thi...
