Re: The Perfect Season

The RPO genie popped out of the bottle right smack dab on Tulane's campus. We hung more points on the board than anyone else could keep up with. There wasn't a DC in the country who knew how to stop it in 1998.
Thanks, Coach Rodriguez!

Few things in this world would make me happier than seeing the NFL just go away. What a debacle.

Re: Superdome / Benson Revenue

The Dome was never the problem for Tulane Football. FYI, here is what Temple pays to rent Lincoln Financial Field. Currently, the school pays $1 million a year to use the stadium (166,666 per game 6 home games). For a new 30-year lease, the Eagles are asking for $2 million a year plus $12 million u...

We're going to have to beat the middling P5 programs & somewhere in the not too distant future we are going to have to pull off a top fifteen victory. We will always be treated as the Sh*tbird program until we start defeating good teams. If/when the football coaching staff leaves, let us all hope th...

Re: Granier De-commits

If he has legitimate notions of playing on Sundays the RPO is not helpful. Particularly for "bubble" o-lineman. NFL teams have very little time and patience converting rpo o-lineman to pro technique. (à la Junior Diaz) The same can also be said of gap charging d-lineman vs. the RPO. It is a good thi...

Ade will be a steal by the seventh round. He played a three and five with a low to no-contact spring to tune up for his senior year. Any NFL team should dial into Ade as a 5/7/9 end within an even front. Ade should go before Parry.. Ade will flourish in the NFL. Let us all hope that Tanzel & Ade sta...

The reports from Guerry Smith, which unfortunately don't all get put in The Advocate, have been positive about Banks continued development. This is the first time in college that he's played in the same system two years in a row. He has all of his primary targets back, Encalade, Mooney, Jones and C...

Need to set the record straight on Lindy Infante . Just got off the phone with a former player that played for Larry Smith and was a senior in Larry’s final year. Lindy Infante left before Larry Smith actually left. Smith was mad about it as well. Infante left during spring ball in 1980 to take a j...

We can thank Ed Orgeron for his participation in our camp. They'll be kids coming in far and wide that otherwise would not have. I hope LSU football prospers under their current staff who sees value in directing talent (particularly in-state), towards us rather than their SEC and Big 12 rivals. Let...

I always thought of Brister as a journeyman QB, but looking at his stats, he had longevity. Funny thing: His total passing yardage in the NFL is almost identical to Forte's yards from scrimmage. Heck, he was a jouneyman before he even got to the NFL; signed with Alabama in football but then signed ...

Perhaps the benevolent Kim Jong-un can provide DPRK "cheerleaders" to fill in the gaping voids on the east side of the stadium.
Would he stand accused Kimchi-Baggery?
