Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

There’s not a single assistant on this staff that is irreplaceable. On D we have many issues. The most glaring is how we still let people get wide open on us. We’re getting better pressure so it’s not that. As for the offensive staff he isn’t bringing in anybody that would change things. That’s his...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

On defense, we need to retain JJ McCleskey, Jack Curtis & Kevin Peoples at all costs. I am at a loss for our offensive performance. Coach Fritz needs to hire an OC and let him bring in his key coaching/recruiting staff. If we throw enough money at a creative OC, he will at least have three years to ...

Re: Hire Coach Willie Fritz for Tulane

I want Tommy Bowden back. If he can find another Coach Rod as his top assistant. I loved their offense and how both disciplined the team unlike CJ and staff. What a mess we are in now! What century are you living in? In 1998 linebackers were large run stopping creatures. Today they are more like ni...

Re: Cincinnati GameDay Thread

Here's the tease. Tulane is going to sneak past SMU in two weeks. They aren't actually getting anywhere, but they're just competitive enough to not get WF fired. Willy isn't getting fired because our dickhead AD gave him an extension after 2 losing seasons +1 How are you going to spin that one Troy...

I thank God that JJ McKleskey was brought in to the staff. He can coach & recruit. I wonder where he'll be off to this Winter?

I am very concerned about the status of Jeffrey Johnson and how his injury effects the play of Deandre Williams on a very hot afternoon in Birmingham. Is Jamiran James ready to go?

Re: Perfect Wave Podcast- Why Rich Rod was passed over

Scott Cowen throws RR under the bus citing "substantive" reasons for not hiring him? Get over your own delusional ego Scott, In the end, you have proven to have substantially inhibited the future growth of Tulane University more than any President since Rufus Harris.

Re: Nicholls St. Game Day Thread:

Problem with defense is the lack of quickness/speed on the DL hence no pass rush. Decent QBs can light up a secondary if facing no pass rush +1 I can remember watching the first game that Tanzel played in as a true freshman ( I believe it was @ Tulsa). On every snap, not only was he beating the Tul...

Re: Three Star QB Jack Abraham

I don't get why folks are infatuated with Jack Abraham. He committed, de-committed and has moved on with his life. So should we. I'm sure people posting in this thread think more about Jack than Jack does about Tulane. It's not like he's Tanner Lee for crying out loud.   My money ...

Re: Three Star QB Jack Abraham

Jack Abraham and USM had an easy game with Jackson St (55-7). Jack was 21 of 27 with 4 TDs and 0 ints. USM has a much tougher schedule for the next 5 games: UL-Monroe; at Applachian State; Rice; at Auburn; at No Texas State. It will be very interesting to see how Jack performs against some tough op...

Doesn’t matter where Tulane plays, product typically sucks. They have lost fans forever with all the losing. Now playing opponents who generate no interest give them no chance to build a new fan base.
+1. Why should anyone care about Wake Forest?

Re: memo to Willie

Too bad for RR that his offensive scheme couldn't be protected by intellectual property rights. There are whole generations of highly paid coaches/ programs who succeeded far beyond their talent level. RR's great grandchildren would be all set for life.

Re: memo to Willie

We'll be fine, wide splits or not. 1998 was a special time, RR was creative in developing an offense that is still being run in some form by a majority of college & high school teams. Does Rice have road pavers for o-lineman? Did they go 1-11 last year? They ran and passed the ball at will for the f...

Re: Wake Forest wins in OT 23-17

First games have become like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get... A takeaway that I have from this game is how important full-contact practices have become. It is mind-boggling for me to see how many times players are practicing in shorts, t-shirts/shells & helmets during Spr...

Re: Wake Forest Game Day Thread

Wrong, several experts including athlon had them ranked something like 35th in the country. Yes tonight sucked, yes we should have won, yes banks’ lack of vision has cost us the last two heart breaking games. But show some class, and acknowledge Wake is a team on the way up and they won. If we won ...

Re: Wake Forest Game Day Thread

Bradwell & Huderson were fantastic disappointments tonight. Badie & Hilliard were sorely missed. Our QB spent most of the night pulling plays out of his backside. Our defense showed up and played well enough to win. Coach McCleskey has done a wonderful job with the corners & nickles. We are young up...

Banks sucks. Fritz coaching suspect. Pathetic fan turnout. All in all, same ole.
How many times does Banks have to hit his receivers on the hands for them to make a reception?
