Re: Yulman Game Day Ops Feedback Requested
The music is not my thing, but it is just what kids and I bet the players want to hear. My teenagers loved it. They should do more with the video board to help with cheering and making the stadium loud. Have a video of CJ or a player starting the Hullaballoo cheer etc. In other college stadiums , I ...

Is it true that noise has to be limited in Yulman?

Re: Stadium Ideas
That sounds like a great idea. Reminds me of Vanderbilt using a foghorn when they score. The tsunami siren after each score would be unique.

Re: Stadium Ideas
Well at least we have a band now. When I was a student we only had the small pep band.
I do remember they used to play the Hawaii Five-0 song . I think it would be cool if they did that again and maybe showed a huge green tidal wave on the Yulman Video
Board.

That sounds really neat. When did we decline to play in the Rose Bowl and why did that change the Alabama fight song?

Tulane football jerseys
Anyone know where or even if you can buy Tulane football jerseys for boys ages 14yo and 11yo?
I haven't been able to find them on the Tulane Athletics/Wilson Center website, Tulane Bookstore or campus connection sites.
Thanks

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
That would be really awful. Hopefully has a really good sound system. I think that is one more area where Yulman can be better than the Superdome. I always thought the acoustics were really bad in the dome

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
That is hilarious! I don't work for Tulane. I would admit, my glasses might be tinted a bit green, but everyone's glasses are tinted by something. Your glasses seem dark and negative. Do you work for a competing school? I just don't agree with you. Vanderbilt does not blow Tulane away. Vanderbilt ha...

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
Another billion dollars would improve our rankings, help athletics, get us into a P5, bring back engineering etc. . We could then hire who we need , pay them what they want, and compete at the highest levels. All the mediocrity complained about would all be fixed with more cash. That is the bottom l...

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
Also , I really think the stadium looks more impressive in person. We went by campus before the New Orleans Bowl and took a look at it from the Reily weight room. I think, it looks really nice. It looks much nicer than Vanderbilt Stadium and not too much smaller. I've been to games in the University...

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
Vanderbilt Stadium doesn't have wifi. The regular reception sucks, but the sound system is great. They play popular music, do fun things with the video board. Seems like Tulane has plans to make the game experience more fun than in the superdome. Hopefully, we can fill the place up and wifi won't ma...

Re: Yulman Stadium (Benson Field)
I'm really excited too. Can't wait to come down for games in the new stadium. Hope the sound system is good. Don't mind not having wifi too much.
Seems like the sound in the dome is unusually bad.

Re: Tulane giving vs 'peers'
It was that low around 1988-1992. I am pretty sure selling the controlling share of Tulane Hospital to HCA gave the endowment a significant boost. But, Scott Cowan has done a lot of successful fundraising. Tulane really needs a lot more money to help our rankings in athletics and academics. The univ...

Re: Tulane giving vs 'peers'
I think Scott Cowan has increased the endowment pretty dramatically. In the 90's, under Eamon Kelley it was a little over 200million. Now, it is has been up to over 1 billion. Seems like a lot in Scott Cowan's 16 year tenure. Especially considering Tulane went through Katrina. Tulane sure asks for m...

Re: Tulane giving vs 'peers'
It would be interesting to know the giving rates for the individual colleges within Tulane. I wonder if donations from Newcomb and Engineering grads have plummeted since their closure or if those alumni continue to donate to Tulane. It would also be interesting to know if our average gifts are simil...

Re: WinWave
That would be fine with me, but I can't imagine Tulane or any other school would demolish a pretty new, nice baseball stadium to build an IPF. But then again, we just wrecked a fine tennis stadium and track to build Yulman so anything is possible. When I was a student at Tulane way back in 1992, one...

Re: WinWave
Tulane is in a neighborhood. Hopefully, our fans that live in the neighborhood can walk to the stadium. Can people in the neighborhood charge to let fans park in their yard or driveway? A parking garage would be nice, but Tulane just doesn't have the space.

Re: Yulman Ticket Prices
I bought 5 tickets in the Westfeldt section yesterday. I can't help but be excited. I hope it is full of Tulane fans and not empty like the dome. I usually buy season tickets to Vanderbilt every year, but have decided not to renew my Vanderbilt tickets to support Tulane. Hopefully, Tulane will keep ...

Re: Stadium Capacity
I hope Yulman seats 25,000 plus, but I have noticed in some reports mention of a multipurpose room for university functions. I think, I read somewhere it will hold up to 5,000. If that is included in the 30,000 capacity the real number may be close to 22,000 actual seats. The meeting room, and stand...
