Re: Women's Tennis ends 2 month long search for new HC

We do need a new tennis facility. I haven't heard anything in awhile on the so called athletic village. That's pretty frustrating.

Re: Big XII Expansion

I am just hoping the presidents want to be associated with a top 40 AAU school rather than a bunch of commuter schools, like Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati, and UCF. Also, we are the best fit geographically and we have New Orleans and we are in SEC country (recruiting). Baseball is big in the Big 12 t...

Re: Next Mens Basketball Coach

Just read that, as a head coach for 22 seasons, Seth Greenberg has only made the NCAAs three times and has only won one NCAA tourney game. He's made the NIT quite a few times. I don't know. He would be a huge upgrade over Conroy and recent assistant coaches we have hired but I have higher aspiration...

That was weak. We were in control and then the last 10 minutes was horrible. What were we -- 1 for 15 shooting at the end? Hard to watch.

Man if that is true regarding WVH, that should be mad public. That is disgraceful and makes me really angry. It did seem like CJ wanted to play his own guys. dId Ryan Griffin stick up for WVH I wonder? I know CJ rode Griffin that first season. i also tough that Jordy was better than Tanner Lee.

How about someone from Dukes staff? They put up big numbers. Okie state, TCU, Baylor and Houston always seem to have a high flying offense. What about Major apple White? Guy is a winner and from BR.

Re: Tanner Lee

I am starting to think we need to go in a different direction at QB. I actually thought Jordy Joseph looked the best. He can at least run the football. Given the rain in the UCONN game, I'm surprised we didn't put Jordy in there so we could run the football more. He could just take off if there was ...

I think we can win too if we get the right coaching staff in place. We now at least have some decent facilities to use for recruiting. Hopefully, the athletic village will have some additional things for football. I can't believe how incompetent this coaching staff is. To get blown out in 4 out of 6...

Re: Georgia Tech 65 Tulane 10

I was at the game. We had an awesome tailgate party that was sold out. The Tulane band came by and played for us. The cheerleaders cheered for us and we had a great time...until the game started. Then it was a total embarrassment. Just the ineptitude of it all. Penalties on many crucial plays, block...

Very impressive. I wish our other sports would follow suit. That is how you improve -- playing better competition. We can't be afraid to do that. After we do it for a couple of years, we will be ready to compete at that level.

Re: The Arms Race Continues

How does an IPF cost? yes, we need the athletics village badly. That has to happen at some point. Memphis however does not have an on-campus football stadium do they? We did just spend $80M or whatever the number is on the football stadium. We could have built the IPF instead I guess which I know ma...

Re: Loyola Restucturing

A lon time ago, I heard that Loyola has a long-term lease from Tulane for a bunch of the land that their campus is currently on. I heard it was like a 50 year lease. Maybe they won't need all that space anymore and we can take it back. Any one else hear about that or know if there is any truth to it?

Re: Tulane men's basketball v Central Florida 6 pm Central.

We gave this game away at UCF earlier this season. Stark had 2 FTs with like 3 seconds left in a tie game and missed both of them. No game in the American is a given for us. We will need to work hard to win. I don't think we've blown out anyone in conference play. If we could win by 10-15 points, I ...

While I would have liked to sign Foster, I can't get too upset about a 2 star recruit. I thought he would fit well here because of his relationship with Tanner, but its not like he's the missing piece or a 5 star recruit.

Re: Tulane increasing basketball ticket prices mid season...

I don't have a problem with it. This is a common practice. Tickets are still very cheap relative to other college ticket prices. Also, if the team was horrible, my guess is admission would be reduced or free or some other gimmick would be offered to get folks to attend.

Agree this is great and I am going to contribute myself. However, sports helps sell the university overall so hopefully, we will continue to see the capital investments in sports made.

While I want a bigger basketball arena and football stadium we can't fill the ones we are in now. We need to stop worrying about the size of our facilities and winning more games. Briles' Houston teams used to put up 60 points on us or so. Ughhh. This is the kind of coach I wish we would get as an offensive coordinator at least. I wish we would just pay a top offensive mind like $1m to be our coordinator. This is what we need!

If we can expand yulman to 40k, that is fine. Vandy's, duke and wake have similar size stadiums and they have had success in p5 conferences. If big 12 let's us in we could expand both yulman and devlin quickly.

We should add soccer. That would be easy to fund and I bet we could get good teams. Also, I am wondering if the off-campus athletic village could have a soccer field. If they are putting in a track, we could easily add a soccer field to that. I still can't believe we don't have men's golf or women's...

That does not look right to me. I thought we did well in Women's volleyball, Men's tennis, etc. This assumes we did worse in sports other than even football. Do we have a breakdown of how this was calculated?

Re: Yulman Stadium Review

I love the stadium. Would love to add more seats but hard to argue that it is needed right now when you see the attendance on tv. Hopefully, one day we will fill this thing every game, but have put a more consistent performer out there. I think if we just have 2 winning seasons in a row, we will be ...
