Re: Tanner Lee

He's getting killed behind that Nebraska OL. May be worst than the OL he had at Tulane. Watching the film his first pick was film study, 2nd one he got blindsided and was hit while throwing and the last ended the game was a forced bad throw. On the bright side he ran for two TD's. https://youtu.be/...

Well, he hasn't bothered to respond to me. :) I did end up tweeting something similar to JJ and he didn't respond to that one either. There were some recent tweets how he was defending Lee's performance vs Oregon as if it was one bad game. I miss JJ's insight on this board but he was dead wrong on ...

guys....endowments have everything to do with this. dont let anyone else tell you they dont, regardless of what they say the equation is. If you don't believe it, then keep trying to figure out how we go backwards every decade or so. Hence the reason why all the privates with 3B$ are all top 25 and...

Re: Hurricane Irma causes AAC game cancellations

South Florida and UConn called off their game in Connecticut because of travel concerns. Central Florida also announced its scheduled Friday night home game with Memphis had been called off. The Memphis-UCF game had been moved from Saturday to Friday because of the threat. Still think they should h...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

It looks like officials cost Tulane a chance at winning the game. Granted, the offense wasn't that productive after Banks left, but there was still a chance that was lost. http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/sports/tulane/article_7f12cbd6-9741-11e7-a338-8bf631c4abc3.html The offense did very lit...

Re: 2018 Baseball Schedule

Very surprised to not see Mississippi State on your schedule. I figured Cannizaro would want to play his alma mater and throw in the fact that we won't have our new stadium playable until March, a nearby road series @Tulane would seemingly do both of us good. It actually isn't the least bit surpris...

Re: New facilities announcement

How much more would it cost to cover the field? It just seems like a Tulane move, so close to having exactly what we need and stop short on an obvious step that would make the whole thing perfect for us. If you're putting a field up there it seems to make no sense to not enclose it and if you don't...

Re: 2017 Football Prediction thread

Not kidding ourselves. Just taking into account the differences between Fritz and those others that left us. His age is a legit factor as is the style of offense. He'll get offers but won't get the caliber offers they did b/c of those reasons. I'm gonna disagree win, 10 wins in year 2 from the CJ/D...

Re: Fall Camp 2017

I'm inclined to agree with D to the extent that 6 is extremely unlikely. Tulane would need to win at least 3 of its first 6 (Grambling, @Navy, @Oklahoma, Army, Tulsa, and @FIU) to have a chance at 6 wins overall, since winning more than 3 of the back 6 (USF, @Memphis, Cincinnati, @ECU, Houston, and...

This report says WKU may be back in the mix, but I doubt it. http://www2.kusports.com/weblogs/tale-tait/2017/aug/18/is-there-a-new-player-in-the-recruiting-/ This report says he is leaning towards not going to any college (which is crazy unless he goes to Europe). He will not have access to good fa...

I believe it was 70 yards and one end zone for a total of 80 yards. That was before they lost 30 yards of that when they had to take the west end of it for space to bring the TV crews trucks and such back there. I do believe the width was there but just barely as the north sideline abutted the fenc...

Comparing it to a P5 schedule is apples to oranges. For a G5 school, this is a tougher schedule than most.

Re: 5 AAC teams ranked or receiving votes in the Coaches Poll - Tulane has an opportunity to make an impact

Seriously our schedule is not a tough one. It's ok to admit that. It is what it is. It's better than last year but that' the low bar syndrome. This is a football town and people see it for what it is. We are trying to build the program up and hope that we can start winning against this schedule. Th...

2 Private school stadiums that opened the same year. One cost $270 M, the other $75 M. I know conference and TV money is vastly different but Yulman could have been so much better had the administration not given in to the NIMBYs. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTUL4cO-zXtR5aP...

I cringe for poor Rice whenever reminded they are still in CUSA. Universities of the caliber of a Tulane or Rice should not be in a conference of academic pigmies like CUSA. Very sad that Rice is for present one of the "left behind." ;) :P There aren't that many sub 20,000 enrollmen...

Re: CUSA lays claim as top G5 conference

I was one of the few around here who wanted to stay in C-USA at least until we proved we could dominate in it. I did not necessarily want to stay in CUSA but if we had, I certainly was not going to be terribly upset. The way we are playing, I think we would still be near the bottom though I think t...
