Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

We are not beating LSU out for kids anytime soon. Pairing with LSU brings more kids to the camp locally than any other pairing we could have. Many of those kids are not quite good enough to get a scholarship from LSU but believe they are or want to see if they can impress LSU at the camp. This give...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

I just find it a bit odd that LSU feels the need to cancel a 100 year relationship in baseball all while using our stadium and location to help their FBall program and demanding we don't partner with anyone else. They won't play us in Bball (despite agreeing to play a bunch of bums), won't play in F...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

WF thinks it’s a good idea we partner with LSU otherwise we wouldn’t. We lose tit for tat with LSU. If we ever win that possibly could change. Don’t compound a baseball mistake by making one in football. Remember the old saying, “keep your friends close keep your enemies closer”. Well he initially ...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Might be time to reconsider these LSU/Tulane football camps. LSU has camps all over the state offering locals chances to be seen by the LSU staff. I'd imagine if we partnered with a Michigan or Texas A&M more locals would show up to Yulman as they would get exposure that they did not ordinarily rece...

Most of the coaches agents just used the Texas opening to get a raise. Paul Mainieri one of those. Easy money.
Yet UT landed a coach of the year at a fraction of the cost of Coach PM at LSU? Oh and one may have made a CWS this year, the other was playing golf. So whats ur point?

Three 1st round picks did not sign and have decided to attend school. One is attending UCLA and the other 2 are enrolling at Mississippi State. The two future Bulldogs are pitchers that both played for Rick Jones last summer. Jake doing what he does. Extremely rare to hold onto two 1st rounders. So...

OSU has the elite players that could physically put a heavy toll on ours that could carry over. Wake and GT are just well coached teams that would not do the same. It'sthe type of schedule that we need. As much as we want to talk our conference up it still doesn't have teams that excite many fans. ...

Welcome aboard Freddy “feet” Canteen. He has great foot speed but was not able to find playing time at Michigan or Notre Dame. Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

This will impact recruiting in a major way. That's been debated throughout this thread. I'm not sure it's really going to help, as his strongest point--playing D--is not anything that Dunleavy stresses. Dunleavy did improve his shot dramatically, but I don't know that Melvin going in the first roun...

Ya Ole Miss makes the tourney 5 out of 6 years, draws over 8k a game and TU fans apparantly “revel” at their demise. Seems reasonable. Maybe TU can go over .500 next year in the mighty AAC, then ya’ll will have even more amo to crap on a program that gets it and um, actually wins games in a conferen...

Maybe I'm just not getting it. We gave up NINE walks in four innings. Aren't you taught from Little League days that if you want to be a pitcher, you have to be able to throw the ball over the plate? Either you can or you can't. If you can't, then how does the pitching coach have anything to do wit...

I would be absolutely shocked if prim and proper Tulane hired AC. Again, IMO the only way it happens is if a donor steps up big time, pays off TJ and pitches in for AC's salary.

I do agree that AC would be a great hire however.

He's a definite 1st rounder after the combine.
He's a perfect fit for teams drafting late in the 1st who just want a guy to play 15-20 minutes, be a versatile defender and hit the occasional 3.
Love to see him in Celtics uniform, Stevens would get the best out of his defensive abilities.

During most of the periods listed, BC and TCU were in P5s. Further, TCU primarily recruits locally (TX) and BC primarily recruits regionally (MA/NY/CT/PA/NH), unlike Tulane. For context, in Fall 2017, ~22% of Tulane's total undergraduate newcomb-tulane enrollment came from the South Central region ...
