I agree tps- if we cave the rest of this season, Matt Riser is right there and will absolutely take the job at his alma mater. If we don't someone else will. I was surprised and pleased about Dannen's willingness to cut bait on Dunleavy. He has to be seeing the same thing with Jewett. He saw David P...
To me the huge difference is how thoroughly Tulane won those games in 1998 and went undefeated, vs squeaking by and going 7-6 in 2013. There is no comparison between those two teams, the post-1998 excitement about TU football was huge and deservedly so.
RPI now 80, SOS 66. RPI help is indeed backloaded, home vs USF 65, UCF 18, UConn 21, road vs ECU 52, Hou 69. Win 70% overall and continue midweek success (currently undefeated) and RPI should be fine.
This morning's way too early RPI at 17. LSU 25, Ole Miss 71 (they also lost a game to Wright St and are 3-2). I was also screaming to walk the .570 hitter from Sec 206, guess coach just couldn't hear me. This year's team simply has it between the ears, you can clearly see it. The pitching & mojo dif...
If Tulane wins 7 to 10 games a year thru 2022 and sells 80 to 100% of Yulman during that time, they will be a top expansion candidate for the Big 12. The athletics would match the academics, we are a geographical fit in a recruiting target area for the Big 12. 2023 is when the next round of contract...
Ed is right about a lack of unwavering commitment from the board & president's office to winning, period. His disdain for the statement "we have to find the right fit", offered so many times by Tulane over the years, resonates with all of us. He fails to acknowledge, however, that Tulane stepped up ...

8-4, wins over WF, Nicholls, UAB, Cincy, SMU, Tulsa, Navy & ECU. Tanner is all goose eggs. LSU finishes 6-6, forced to play Tulane in the Birmingham Bowl, Greenies beat LSU 48-7 with a 4th quarter fake field goal to match the 1981 score. Joe Alleva is shot outside the stadium and hospitalized at UAB...

The Dome is for rent, if we want to play a game there we just have to pay the same rent as LSU or ULL. Why would we do that. For other reasons (cancellation of baseball series) we should either collect our $750k or our home football game owed by LSU for cancelling the football series. Also should ca...

With all due respect Sader, I have a dozen or more LSU friends in N.O. who to a man acknowledge LSU should play Tulane vs the worthless rent a games they have now, and would be happy to see some games in N.O. as part of that. There are lots of LSU fans in N.O. who never see them play because they do...
Does anyone believe for a minute that if Gayle Benson expressed a distaste for a particular play by play candidate to WWL that they would thumb their nose at her and give him the job anyway?
TulaneStudentSection beat me to it. I can't imagine Gayle Benson, a sitting TU Board member, would keep a clown like that on the list for the Saints radio broadcast if she knew about his love for splashing around in the pigpen.

It seems like we may have reached the last day he could actually enroll and participate in Tulane spring practice, and really had no interest in waiting until fall camp, pulling our offer at that point.
Several regulars here have good connections, I can't imagine no news is good news. Recruit visit weekends don't normally result in just something to think about or ponder. We had a lot of kids visit, and only one commit.
With all of this above, is there any indication (private or otherwise) that either coach Willie Fritz or AD Troy Dannen are less than enamored with being at Tulane and actively looking to move on at the first good opportunity.

Despite everything above, the fact is Tulane & LSU signed a 10 year home and home for 2006 thru 2015. Skip Bertman saw the wisdom of this, and Tulane bent over backwards on the revenue, giving LSU 40,000 tickets to sell & keep in the Dome while Tulane got $250k to play in BR. Bertman happily signed ...
