Re: Tulane V. ULL Cure Bowl GameDay Thread

Good game fellas. I mentioned somewhere here not to expect this Cajun team to give up and they didn't but you guys also did what you had to do, especially on defense shutting down both Mitchell and Ragas. McMillan is a hoss, too bad he won't be back next year. Why not? He has another year of eligib...

Re: Tulane V. ULL Cure Bowl GameDay Thread

I agree with the Tsunami Wave in White comments above: they are not very attractive. I'd have loved to see them with some color, as in the crest of the wave being green. But all white isn't working. Unless we keep kicking their coonasses....but still, this shouldn't be a helmet that stays in the rot...

Re: Tulane V. ULL Cure Bowl GameDay Thread

That was one lousy play that ended up giving them 3 points. Other than U-La-La's first drive, the D played tremendously well. Our O was only stopped once.

May this bowl day be the start of an annual tradition. Roll Wave!
And may we look back at this as a starting point of bowl games that are later and later in the bowl season, including a NY6 bowl in the near future!

Re: UCF Milton update

What are the chances Milton will ever play again? I realize that injuries are a part of the game but still, what a freakish accident. I hate seeing those guys get hurt after giving so much of their lives to the game. This article may give you the answer. https://www.compuserve.com/sports/story/0002...

Heck of a team, ranked 15th nationally in points allowed, 13.3. Played a real good schedule with Texas Tech(8-4) , Cinci(7-4), #8 Air Force(9-3), #19 Georgia, N. Carolina (8-4) and #7 LSU. Typical of our football schedules through the 70’s, and really up until Eamon Kelly started doing his best imi...

Tulane Athletics Blog from the Cure Bowl: https://tulanegreenwave.com/news/2018/12/13/football-greetings-from-orlando.aspx It's kind of funny that they celebrate the "swag". Not too long ago those gifts would have lead to NCAA sanctions. I guess the NCAA is coming down from it's (ridiculous and hypo...

http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/25528410/ucf-qb-mckenzie-milton-undergoes-4th-leg-surgery-travel-team-fiesta-bowl It's really a shame that Milton has such a devastating injury. I welcome fans of opposing teams to come here and discuss games. That is one aspect of gotula.net that I find lacking. I frequent many college message boards and none of the others are as insecure about opponents sharing their views. We complain about censorship by the mods on yogwf but here it's o...

Re: South Alabama Wallops The Wave 81-60

If we want to win and go to the NCAA's regularly, we need to find and pay an up and coming coach. Dan Hurley, at UConn, is making $3 million/year. That kind of money in New Orleans, should attract tons of candidates. If we "only" offer $2 million, it still should land us a great coach that knows the...

I had heard that Brown IS the community college of the Ivy League. I have no earthly idea as to the legitimacy of that statement. I know Chris Berman has always downplayed its perception of prestige. Brown is the 14th ranked National University by USN&WR. That speaks for itself. Berman couldn't SNI...

Another late recruiting surge by Fritz and his staff. I think Fritz has this early signing date thing figured out quite well—definitely puts pressure on recruits who are sitting on the fence. Only 25 slots—get in now or don’t get in at all. sorta like the lifeboats on the Titanic !!!! Aw yes, the T...

Brown the best university in the country . Wonder why he did not commit to Mempbis or Houston ....
Another of your series of BRILLIANT posts. Brown is a VERY VERY GOOD University, but it's not the best in the country. I wonder what community college you failed out of?

For the record UCF was winless FOUR seasons ago (when their coach quit coaching). Three seasons ago, they were 6=7, their first year under Scott Frost. They've won 25 in a row since. Why do you post here when your heart is torn between Storrs and Orlando ? Get off the pot .... I'm a Tulane graduate...

Re: 2018 Cure Bowl ULL Score Prediction Thread

Both teams are good at running the football, and U-La-La had more success passing the ball throughout the year. But McMillan made defenses pay for stacking the box, which U-La-La will have to do or risk Tulane ripping them on the ground. I also think we see a new wrinkle or two out of the offense wi...

It wouldn't surprise me if he's not there come early January. There's still turnover in the HC ranks that we are not yet aware of.

They get the stability of the conference. That was made clear in the articles. But again the most important thing is Aresco's response. I agree that Aresco's response would/should put an end to this conversation. But there's also the possibility going forward that EVERY D1 team ends up getting thei...
