Re: Great Fear The Wave Interview with OC Will Hall

In addition to his gaffe on the kicking game he also said more than once that we are young. That is not the case especially on offense. Field goal kicking has been wanting; the rest of the kicking game has been pretty good. Even at that, I don't think Fritz likes to kick FGs anyway (which is perhap...

If we were going to sign Langton we would have. Even MD had moved on.
He signed in November, during the early signing period.

Re: Samir going pro

According to this, Henri Langton signed his LOI with Colorado-Colorado Springs (DII) on 3/20/19, which would be today. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/henri-langton Henri was a recruit I was not impressed with. He didn't start, averaged 3 ppg, and DNP'd in a bunch of games at his JUCO. His bes...

Re: New AAC TV Contract Done

I would be lying if I said that I didn't secretly hope for at least $10M per team. Even though the AAC isn't a heavy hitter in terms of brands, the value is there for the extra ~$3M in terms of both MBB and FB. Basically, I'm disappointed even with the 4x increase. EDIT: Also, it allows ESPN to ter...

Re: Samir going pro

He will play in Europe, I'm sure. He's not close to the talent that Reynolds or Frazier have, and they can barely find minutes in the NBA. I wish him the best, and appreciate that he played his heart out while at Tulane.

Re: New AAC TV Contract Done

Exactly!

There's going to by 10000x more people with the ESPN3 App than we have as Tulane fans. They will all have access to all AAC content. At $5/month, and it giving you access to the other ESPN outlets , it's a bargain for the cable cutters.

Re: Great Fear The Wave Interview with OC Will Hall

This is a great interview, thanks for posting the link. I wonder what Coach Hall was thinking when he said we've been "really strong in the kicking game." We had a mention of Keon Howard! Coach said he's got a "really good chance to be a good player" here. Definitely thinks there's talent that needs...

There's LOTS to be said about not having blind faith in your leaders. Unfortunately, despite gbg's vast experience as a long time fan, this is not something he has learned. I don't ever recall seeing any Tulane student/athlete disparaged on any post. Demanding excellence, or at least, competence fr...

Thank you GL for posting the video of the presser. I'm sorry, but I think Dannen is 1000% better than Dickson. That being said, this hire is important for him to nail, as two or three years from now if it turns out poorly, we should be calling for a new AD. But I like the professional attitude and o...

Re: Dunleavy GONE

We have NO IDEA how the buyout works, and how much it's costing the University. Unless you were in the room with MD and TD, you don't know what kind of deal was made. TD did what needed to be done. Many of us feared we'd have to endure another year or two of Dunleavy. Can't we be thankful that Troy...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

This will be a very interesting hire. Do we go young (and relatively untested) with a Larry Cordaro? Do we pay up and bring in a tried an true legit D1 coach like Billy Kennedy? Would Steve Alford consider coming to the Big Easy? I hope we're going to have a HC in place in very short order, and that...

I really would have liked to see what Dunleavy could have done this year if the team was 100% healthy and ready, but losing every single conference is just a hard pill to swallow no matter what happened. The Alabama A&M game was an all time low. Tulane losing to the worst team in the damn SWAC? Shi...

Re: When was the last time a Tulane QB threw 400+ pass yds against an FBS team with a winning record (minimum 5 wins)?

If memory serves, I think Lester Richard threw for about 400 years at City Park Stadium when the Wave upset no. 24 UAB 55-49 about 15-20 years ago? Lester RICARD threw for 417 yards and a record 6 touchdowns when Tulane beat UAB 59-55 at City Park in 2004. They were ranked for the week ahead of the...

Re: FIRE Mike Dunleavy the worst of the worst in Tulane history

Last week I had fun surfing the Tigerdropings board (though I never have posted there). Today, I've gotten a kick out of YOGWF. Things that are being said are worse than what got me banned permanently from there (which is one of many reasons I despise JtS.) Even the most die hard Tulane fans, those ...
