Re: Tulane Tames the Tigers 40-24

Memphis leading #10 UCF 3o-17 at the half. Henderson (who we held to -5 yards rushing after his first run for a TD) has 170+ yards in the first half. Memphis is tough at home. Glad we played them at our house. Yes. Lucky we played Memphis in NOLA. They had a 12 game home winning streak going into t...

Re: Line Opens Tulane 7 pts. > SMU

I'd lay the points! I still think we get our way to 6 wins, maybe 7, but giving a TD to ANY d1 opponent is too many points IMHO. We're not that good.

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

Offensively, does anyone know what Fritz is trying to evolve to? In his third year, we don’t have the OL we need, we don’t have the QB we need, and we don’t have the WRs we need, if Fritz could suddenly snap his fingers and have everything he needs, what would it be? What offense would we be runnin...

Re: Let's Play "Did Ya' Know "

Did you know.... Michael Jordan's "retirement" avoided a two year suspension from the NBA? I learned that from the NBA's former director of enforcement, and a longtime NBA executive. The NBA allowed him to retire for two years rather than the ugly publicity of a suspension due to gambling. Jordan, w...

Re: AD FUNDRAISING

Dickson had failures but fund raising was not one of them. He saved athletics in 2003 and raised $100 million in two years to build Yulman. Not sure what Dannen has done outside of bringing back a 1960’s Angry Wave character. All his coaching hires have been losers. His seat license idea shows his ...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

We know Jon English used up his eligibility! Unfortunately, it was before he played for Tulane. I agree, this season is not yet lost (but this team has not yet found it's way!) And remember how Cutcliff did his first four or five seasons at Duke before finally getting things turned around. It's awfu...

Re: Wave Beats The Wave,Cincinnati wins 37-21

Very disappointed in this coaching staff and team. THEY let 3 very winnable game get out of hand and basically destroyed this season at this point. Wake and UAB we were tied in the late in the second half. Neither team was decidedly worse or better than Tulane. We lost. Calling those two as out of ...

Re: Wave Beats The Wave,Cincinnati wins 37-21

Some observations: We are a undisciplined team. Same penalties every week including hitting guys way out of bounds. We can’t catch. When it happens almost every week it’s who you are. When you make plays it’s the exception. We are unprepared or at least appear so. The team doesn’t seem motivated to...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

First of all, we're not changing coaches any time in the next few months, and probably not even after the 2019 season, unless we stay stuck at 3-5 wins. Regardless of who becomes the next head coach, it will be a longer re-build than what Fritz is doing, unless we get someone else that wants to run ...

Re: QB Play

And I'll go one further: Our passing game is one of the worst in FBS. Literally, we stink at throwing the ball. We drop passes, miss wide open receivers, and often cannot pass protect long enough to let the routes develop Every team we've faced thus far, including our FCS opponent, has a better pass...

Re: QB Play

Cincy lived up to their 29th ranking and strong D credentials. No crying over final score but crying how we got their with 2 QB"'s might be .Banks left and the coaches did not let McMillan do what he does best, pass. They should have let Banks return in 4th quarter to light a fire with QB designed ...

Re: Potential head football coach candidates search

Willie Fritz, for better or worse, will be the Tulane football coach in 2019. Anyone that thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. And Dannen isn't wasting his time trying to destroy Tulane baseball. That gets done with little or no effort. Let's hope Latham makes a difference on that front. Meanwhil...

We are OFF this week. I think we can beat OFF. and have a pep rally on campus at the Scott Cowen Circle Jerk And Scott Cowen will claim that beating OFF is what college athletics should be about. Meanwhile, the $15-20 million dollar deficits he ran up his last few years as President of OUR Universi...

Re: Cincinnati GameDay Thread

Since we've gone to the passing offense, our offense SUCKS! Please put Banks in and run our offense while the game is still within reach. This trying to be a passing offense with a QB that's played almost one whole game of NCAA football isn't working. Wake up, smell the coffee, McMillan isn't going...

McMillan made one GREAT throw. Banks is our better QB at this point. Put him back in and leave him in.
It's not even close. PUT BANKS IN AND LET HIM PLAY HIS GAME. This offense is putrid with McMillan right now.

I do like the blue pants with the white jersey's. I just wish it was topped with the XL Angry Wave Helmets. We are undefeated wearing them! ROLL WAVE! Amen D, on both points. I'm really surprised we aren't sticking with the Mega Wave helmet--a national sensation and undefeated in them. The Mega Wav...

Agree on the points above. That stat about us going 7-0 when we rush for 250 yards or more is interesting.

Really just wanted to comment that I liked the term Mega Wave, I think you just coined it ;)
+1 Mega Wave

Has anyone seen the uniform reveal for this week? I sure hope we stick with the extra large Angry Wave on the helmets!

BTW: the schedule on the tulanegreenwave.com website still lists our conference record as 0-0. You think someone would get a clue?
