Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

Frazier is only going to get better by playing against better competition (the NBA). He’s going to be a better pro because he’ll be surrounded by better players on his team. His game is perfect for the NBA. His wing spam of 7’2” is incredible for a 6’6”guy. At Tulane next year he’ll get a lot guys ...

Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

I'm no expert. But it seems to me he got hurt on a clean play by a player that's not as big as most NBA players, fighting through a pick. Another year of growth and filling out his body to his frame would do him well. As I've said elsewhere in this thread, I think the smart route would be to NOT sig...

Re: Wright State Series

Their starter opening night put up some damned good numbers last year:

RHP Ryan Weiss, So. | 8-1, 2.13 ERA, 15 APP, 14 GS, 88.2 IP, 78 H, 21 ER, 80 K, 20 BB

That's a WHIP of 1.105, outstanding for a college pitcher.

Re: Tulane and Notre Dame

Well, if we had played them in 2012 and/or 2013 I can guarantee Notre Dame would not have won the game(s). Link: Notre Dame players caught cheating...Kelly says 'It has noting to do with me'.. c'mon...a few 'hail mary's' (not the pass) and all will be forgiven...that and 5,000.00 dollars Actually, ...

Re: Tulane not alone in attendance woes

I find much more satisfaction attending Friday night high school games than any NFL game and most NCAA games. The connection with the local community at high school games is timeless and reassuring, something that Tulane can do a better job of in spite of the carpet-bagger student body & alumni...

Re: Tulane not alone in attendance woes

College FB suffers it’s largest attendance drop in 34 years. Smaller stadiums and nice clubs are now the new talk for solutions. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-heads-in-wrong-direction-with-largest-attendance-drop-in-34-years/ One Power Five source suggested the NF...

Re: Early Signing Period 2018

Ben Tate https://twitter.com/pbr_louisiana/status/963503112345571329 So we're giving out scholarship offers three years from now? He's class of 2021. Who knows where we'll be by then? I would think that given he's the number one recruit in the state for the 2021 class, we'll probably still want him...

Re: Houston Launches the Wave 73-42

That’s a horrible quote from Dunleavy, he’s a college coach with 18-21 yr old kids, if he doesn’t think part of his job is to coach effort and motivate he’s got the wrong job. His job is to win games and that means doing anything it takes to win those games. Steve Kerr just let his team coach an en...

http://tulanegreenwave.com/news/2018/2/12/2018-football-schedule-announced.aspx In my opinion the UAB game is very important...don't get me wrong, they are all important, but Tulane needs to go on the road and not just win, but WIN...leaving no doubts who is better And that will be no easy W, for s...

Re: Houston Launches the Wave 73-42

I must admit I drank the Green Kool-Aid. Very disappointed in the recent downturn that has occurred. I thought we’d win 7 to 8 conference games but that appears unlikely at this point. I agree that ultimately Dunleavy is going to have to recruit 4 star players like Perry did to have the success we ...

Re: Houston Game 2Thread

This game was, by a long shot, the toughest to watch. Fortunately, I had it on DVR and by the 10 minute mark I was fast forwarding liberally (and through most of the 2nd half). A very ugly performance, I wonder who''s bright idea it was to stay away from home between games?

The number 1 ranked player in the country (Rivals), a 6"5" Pro-Style Qb has chosen Clemson? WTF? Who does that? DeShaun Watson did. He was the #1 ranked QB in college football, by a good margin, his last two years at Clemson. Watson would have been NFL rookie of the year by a HUGE margin ...

Funny thing is the announcers knew Conroy was getting the last shot. I think the former baseball player is the walk on, but I could be wrong.

Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

If he’s 1st round he’s going to go. Why risk an injury coming back? This. If he's definitely 1st round, he's gone. If not, he'll probably come back. There's a huge difference in the NBA in being a 1st or 2nd rounder. And if he's the leader of a breakout Green Wave season next year, it'll help his s...

Re: A PWO QB

If he's good enough to take snaps in a real game, he's earned a scholarship. Not necessarily on the spot, but definitely prior to the start of the next season. Otherwise you're doing what the NCAA is constantly accused of: exploiting the young man's talents to the benefit of the program, risking inj...

Re: Wave robbed in Tulsa 91-89

Question: I got in late on the game (with over 8 minutes left). We lost all our bigs and put in Galic. Was Koka on the trip? I realize he has a way to go, but he did have some game experience. I don't know if he traveled with the team, but Koka didn't play at all. Bul Ajang started. Blake Paul foul...

Re: Melvin Frazier now projected 1st round pick

Had you told me at the beginning of the season that Frazier would be gone next season, I would have said “Here we go again.” These last 2 games have proven that MD gets his kids to step it up. Like everyone, I’d like to have Frazier next season, but if he goes, I’ll be proud of his accomplishment. ...

Re: Tulsa Game 2 Thread

Sehic got the T when the Tulsa player jumped up in his face and yelled foul! He replied "all ball" (on the block). BS call. They miss the FT's, but thats Sehic's 3rd foul (corrected, I thought it was his 4th). BS. And Tulsa has gotten away with at least half a dozen traveling offenses. Kee...

What a fun first half. If Sehic could make his free throws, like he did early in the year, we'd be up 15+
