Re: Wonder What They're Saying Now

Tps, that video is incredible. My father was at that game. One of the greatest nights of his life he always said. The priest for his funeral this past February talked about that game in his homily . The priest was there as a tiger fan. He said he still hasn't gotten over it. What a time to be alive...

Re: SMU Game Thread

We will have to score over 30 points and play a clean game to win. SMU will put points on the board and if they don't turn it over, 30 might not be enough. Our D played great against Houston. Can the do it on the road?

Re: Wonder What They're Saying Now

Could I be wrong and we pass for 68 yards and lose by 21 Saturday? Of course! Hoping you are wrong! But that would be almost 3x the number of yards coming off of a good passing game against UH last year ;) 2016 v UH: Passing 21/42 241 Yards 2TD/0 INT (arguably best game of 2016 eventhough was a los...

Re: Tulane beats Fordham 63-55

This will be how we gauge the basketball games from here on out. Y'all went to Tulane and are smarter than me , so let's come up with a level of ass. From large ass to medium ass to no ass ( perfect game) But wait! We would be remiss if we didn't mention one of our Athletics Supporters: Big Ass! ht...

Re: Tulane beats Fordham 63-55

Looks like 2 teams that spent the last 48 hours in Jamaica I think it's closer to 96 hours for Tulane and I was thinking we had too much Bob Marley and needed Nico instead. Regardless to have a good season, you need to have bad wins against bad teams. I assume MD will put them through some hard pra...

Re: Houston GameDay Thread

Congrats to Tulane. Good luck the rest of the way. Too bad we can't fire our incompetent head coach and his staff. Very unacceptable performance this season. I have to admit, I was shocked the DC did not get the Houston HC job, he is doing one hell of a job at Texas Then you weren't watching Housto...

Re: Baby Isla helps Wave whip Houston 20-17

Fake news!

Tulane (6-6, 4-4) took the lead late in the fourth quarter after quarterback Jonathan Banks connected with receiver Terren Encalade on a 64-yard touchdown pass.

I wish we were 4-4 in conference and 6-6.

Did anyone notice if Glenn Cuillette walked with the Seniors?

Re: Oh what could have been...

Fritz isn't bringing in better talent and than what is leaving. He needs to step up his recruiting game and hire a guy well connected to the Louisiana high schools. In his first two seasons I can't think of a freshman who has wowed me on offense or defense. People keep saying this over and over, an...

Re: Tulane crushes Colorado State 80-53

I'm not so sure UConn will be in the top 25, or even very far above .500. They got beat badly in an exhibition vs. Providence. And they barely got past Stony Brook, which had leads in the 2nd half. Kevin Ollie is on the hot seat in a big way in Storrs.

Re: Tulane crushes Colorado State 80-53

I’m not a cheerleader type. I call it like I see it. I saw us beat LSU, SELA (in person) and now Colorado St.(TV) We are going to have a great season. We will be more athletic then most teams we’ll play. We’ll be as well coached as anyone. The kids are buying in to the Dunleavy plan. Like I said in...

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

Fordham could be an interesting game on Sunday. Will need to keep up our intensity level. Fordham is picked to finish at or near the bottom of the A-10. We should continue our streak of blowouts. They haven't been very good since Digger Phelps left. I wasn’t commenting on the historical or current ...

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

Wave look good so far this year. So much deeper than a year ago. We definitely play NBA-style basketball, which is great if you have the depth and athleticism to pull it off. I think we are getting there, but we may pay big for this style against some of the better more athletic teams in conference...

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

80-53 Final. Dunleavy got Riley Conroy a minute playing time at the end. Although CSU had problems with a lid on the basket, particularly in the first half, I was encouraged that we played better D. We do have a tendency to heave up a three regardless of how much time is left on the shot clock. If w...

We absolutely must put this game in the win column. How many programs can claim to have won the first NCAA Basketball program played in a specific country?

17-2 at second media break!

Anyone that think Fogelman is a HS gym should look at the arena they're playing in Jamaica. I think Tulane has an advantage because we're used to playing in a small, empty gym!

Tulane up 9-2 at first media break. Cam Reynolds down with apparent twisted ankle. Hope it's not serious.

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

If the LSU game was the most fun of this young season, the Colorado St. game will be the most interesting and revelatory. On a neutral court against a decent team, if we perform well (or *gasp* win comfortably) that would bode very well for the year. #RollWave Agreed. This isn't a top 25 team, but ...

Chainman, you know better since you're there and I'm just reading, but I'd think Gozzo is a safe bet to keep his starting job at shortstop. It would mean a whole lot to this team to have Massey return to form. I seem to remember his summer league stats to be very pedestrian, though.

Re: Houston Score Prediction Thread

I hope to hell that this team comes out fired up to give the Seniors a W on Senior day. And I do think Houston is beatable. Play a relatively clean game and we'll win. But we're just not a very good team, and make too many boneheaded plays. I don't think I'll be able to watch this one, which may be ...

Woulda, shoulda, coulda. "You are what you're record says you are" (Bill Parcells). We were seriously outplayed by FIU, and asked a walk-on kicker to make his 4th field goal of the game (2x as many as we had made year to date) with the game on the line against Cincy. In other words, if you...

Re: Another QB commit.....

After watching his HUDL film, I was more impressed with his speed than his arm. Yes, he makes a lot of throws, but it's mostly to ridiculously wide open receivers. 3A football is good, not great in NC. But Fritz obviously likes what he sees, and I'll trust his judgement over my take from 3 or 4 minu...
