Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

We're not playing in the Dome, and certainly not selling out the Dome. The Sugar Bowl has had a tough time selling out the Dome the last few years. Times have changed.

Re: Army Game Thread

So we're minus 38 over 15 games, which is -2.533 points per game we're getting beat by in the fourth quarter. WOW we're getting crushed late in games.

So I ran the numbers, under CWF: Opponents Score: First Quarter: 97 Second Quarter: 96 Third Quarter: 91 Fourth Quarter: 118 Tulane Score: First Quarter: 103 Second Quarter: 87 Third Quarter: 72 Fourth Quarter 80 Whether you want to chalk it up to coaching or lack of depth there is a serious proble...

Re: Tanner Lee

That first pick 6 was insane. Like the CB knew the play before it was called. Really hard to blame that on the QB the CB just gambled and jumped the route . . Nothing to lose in that part of the field. See Tulane v Memphis 2014: first play of the game. Seems to be a pattern. He stared down receiver...

Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

Houston went up to OU and beat them last year and they remained in the hunt for a possible playoff game until a late falloff. Playing Oklahoma was great. Playing Ohio St will be great. The first Qtr “showed” you what we are capable of doing. If we beat Ohio St next year perhaps you’d feel different...

Re: Army Game Thread

Robert, we're on the same page. I think the team is well ahead of where we were with CJ and Buffet Bob, even in the season that we went to the N.O. Bowl. That team should have won 10 games minimum with the ridiculous schedule they played and playing certain decent teams without key starters. At the ...

Re: Army Game Thread

To "not be able to finish" you need to have a lead late in the game. Other than SMU last year, what games did we lead late that we lost the lead? Sorry but games like Wake Forest last year, or Navy this year are NOT games that we couldn't finish. Those are games we had a CHANCE to win, bu...

Re: Army Score Prediction Thread

Army 21
Tulane 27

Army is beat up, particularly on the D side of the ball. And we have an advantage, having faced Navy two weeks ago and our players (and coaches) being familiar with this offense. Tulane holds on at the end of the game for the victory despite a late Army rally.

Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

Impossible to build a program when you're getting your teeth kicked in. Ole Miss and Georgia Tech are much better games than Oklahoma and Ohio State. No way the money we get is worth it. Tulane football badly needs some confidence. These games destroy confidence. Playing with Ole Miss to the wire w...

Re: ESPN Loses 4M subs in the past year

The NETWORKS are going to take a $200 million hit. The league ratings are off, but I don't see them giving back $200 million to the networks. The article certainly doesn't suggest that's happening.

Sorry to get off topic but Coach O is now 0-13 as a head coach in SEC road games. So he’d Owned his “O” Not to be too nit picky, Tim, but didn't Coach O coach the Tiggers last November? I may be mistaken, but I believe that the Tiggers beat Arkansas and Texas A&M on the road that month. Yes but...

Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

What you're saying is generally true. I think Robert misspoke and he meant that most of the bets are coming in on OU, not most of the money. There is such a thing as reverse line movement, where the amount of money bet on a side and the number of bets made on a side are moving in opposite direction...

“A lot of people see the triple option only once a year, so that’s an advantage for us,” safety Roderic Teamer said. “We get to have that prior game to know what it’s like and how fast the tempo is.”

If the University started buying up these properties, another benefit would be voting in the neighborhood association. Own enough property and then vote to eliminate the NIMBY clauses w/r/t Yulman.

Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

Anyone interested in Oklahoma -26 at Baylor this weekend? Line started at -27.5 and all the money is being bet on OU, but the spread went down. If all the money is being bet on OU, the spread would not have gone down, Robert. As we know very well, the spread moves in order to try to get as much mon...

Re: Tanner Lee

As for Lee’s future, LaMothe said, “If you’re looking for a pocket quarterback, a pro-style quarterback, he’s got the tools. He’s got all of the tangibles and the intangibles. He has a strong arm, probably the strongest arm of any kid I’ve coached (in 17 years). He has a great pocket presence. He c...

Re: Army Game Thread

I'm really sick of people who watched 4 years of what CJ did to this program and yet still believe it can be completely turned around in 15 games. Can you imagine what we would have looked like Saturday if CJ and Eric Price were still in charge? We'd have been looking at 77-0 or worse, no offense w...

Re: Things I hope for next week...

I hope certain people open their eyes and see that Army is better than Navy at this juncture. It's been a long time since anyone could say that and be taken seriously. This is not your Army team of the last 20-30 years. It's much better, and after a beating at Ohio State, much like we took at OU (th...

Re: Tanner Lee

Well, my assessment of Lee hasn't changed despite the change in scenery and upgrade in overall offensive help: he throws a pretty ball, but the nuances of quarterbacking is something that he probably will not master. He's similar to JP Losman in that both can spin the ball, but the other intangible...

Re: Oklahoma GameDay Thread

I'll be disappointed if we fall apart late in the game like we did in some of our games at Duke and GaTech over the last few years. We've acquitted ourselves well to this point, but if the score gets ridiculous it means nothing to the public perception of the progam.

Keep it up, boys.
