Re: SMU rolls out lower concession prices

Another off-topic rant: I prefer watching women's tennis to men's in spite of the sub-par execution (I can actually see the ball), I enjoy watching high school & NCAA football because I like watching a wing-T vs a veer & an RPO vs wishbone. The NFL execution is amazing but from a strategy & tactics...

Re: Job Opening

The family of the young man that passed away has one hell of a lawsuit. Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if the state were to pursue manslaughter (or worse) charges against members of the coaching staff.

So we jack up the prices for homecoming? Way to treat your alumni.

We will more than likely be underdogs at UAB.

Re: LSU QB Exodus

Cuillette was recruited to run an NFL style O, so he did not fit into Fritz's system..but then again how hard can it be...catch the ball from the center, hand the ball to someone running forward or laterally, on occasion throw the ball to a member of the same team who is open...I mean this in not "...

C'mon all you proficient posters out there. This is a thread we can have some fun with. Don't be chicken$**t and wait until after a game or two, your prognostications; at that point it will not be comparing apples to apples to those of us posting two weeks (+) before the first snap of the season. 18...

Re: LSU QB Exodus

McMillan is going to have to move fast, if he wants to be enrolled and on the roster of a FBS team this year. He's kind of a mixed bag. Good size, comes from a powerful Texas high school program, has two years remaining, immediately eligible, but has only thrown one pass in a game. Cedar Hill is so...

Isn't a torn labrum a separated shoulder? That is one of many types of shoulder labrum tears. It can also be, among other things, a torn "rotator cuff." I've had that type of tear and it's painful for a few weeks, and makes it hard to sleep for a long time. https://www.verywellhealth.com/labral-tea...

Re: How Many Regular Season Games Will Tulane Win?

I think after a slow start, we scratch and claw our way to 7 wins. Nicholls, Cincinnati, SMU, Tulsa, ECU (why do tickets start at $50 for this game?) Houston and Navy. A hot Green Wave squad beats golfnut's Texas Tech squad in the Armed Forces Bowl. Tanner Lee spends the season on a practice squad, ...

Somebody needs to work on his math. They played 8 home games in 2013.
You are right. Their website says they were 6-3 at home but they only played 8 home games. My math, bad as it may be, tells me 8 is one more than 7.

Re: K-State --- Snyder

He had a great team a few years back. In 2012 they went 12-2 with wins over Miami, OU, Ok State, UT, Their only regular season blemish was a beating by Baylor! Then they lost the Fiesta Bowl to Oregon. The next year they went 8-5 and PLAYED 9 HOME GAMES. I guess the limit is not 7 or 8. Though one w...

Re: The Perfect Season

They certainly were. And we haven't had a team nearly as talented (never mind the scheme) since. Our O-Line is on a mission to be the best Tulane has had. Make them watch films, the O-line in 1998 was damned good. If this year's O-Line was a fraction on what we had in '98, we'll contend for the West...

Re: The Perfect Season

As I've believed, and posted for years, the 1998 team was as good as any in the country. Had we played Tennessee in a MNC game, we may or may not have won, but it would have been a whole lot more exciting game than the sleeper we saw that year between the Vols and FSU. Was Tulane the most talented ...

He has a way to go to make the practice squad. There's no way, barring injury, he's making the team. Kessler is much better than him as Bortles' backup. I'd be totally shocked if he gets pre-season game time with the first unit.

Did anyone watch Tanner vs the Saints in the pre-season game? Some things don’t change. NO ONE can win with a pathetic O line. I don't know that the O line was anywhere near as bad as Tanner was. Re: Saw this coming when we left the Dome LSU in NOLA

I read it and you're wrong. The NCAA does have a limit on the number of home games. It's not forced by the schedule. You can play 3 of your OOC's at home which would be 7 and the limit. So like I said this way they can play their 7 and then play a marquee game in a world renowned stadium and make a...

Re: Saw this coming when we left the Dome LSU in NOLA

There is a limit. It was 7 for a long time. Not sure if that changed when things went to 12 games. They'll make money and not have to play another game on the road. That rule is why we got to play LSU in NOLA in 1973 after also being the home team in 1972 b/c they had scheduled too many home games....
