Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Might be time to reconsider these LSU/Tulane football camps. LSU has camps all over the state offering locals chances to be seen by the LSU staff. I'd imagine if we partnered with a Michigan or Texas A&M more locals would show up to Yulman as they would get exposure that they did not ordinarily rec...

WIth no demand, it would be idiotic to try to ask for seat licenses. Only at Tulane.

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

It might be too late to save the series, but Troy needs to know how much this means to us, and how disappointed we are with how he's handling baseball in general. Good point! I’m extremely disappointed. It was the one game on the schedule you knew we’d have a big time home atmosphere with a longtim...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

PLEASE tweet, email, text, do whatever to get your message directly to Troy Dannen on this one. Posting gripes and moans here does absolutely nothing. @TU_Dannen will get your tweet delivered to his account. It's easy enough to find his email address (though a subordinate probably manages that) and ...

Re: Tulane Athletics ranked tied for last in NCAA

The way they created the rankings, go zero for three getting Football, men's and women's Basketball into post season and you lay an egg. We're tied with the few other schools that did the same. Baseball might be our "wildcard" sport, but the baseball team matched the other teams' mediocrity (being k...

Re: Tulane/LSU baseball series

Bring in the National Champs for a weekend every year. I'm sure they'd love to travel to Dixie in February, as the weather isn't very good up there in Oregon that time of year.

If this is on Dannen, everyone needs to bombard him with emails complaining about ruining the longest rivalry Tulane has.

Yes he is. we took a chance on him as his academic issues were known. The staff felt he was that good that they could take this risk.
If they really want him after JUCO, they better coach him on what classes will and will not be accepted.

Re: Signing Day Thread 2018

Damien Tate, kid from New Orleans that Fritz has raved about, tweeted today that he is taking the ACT. That would lead me to believe that he is not yet academically qualified. Hope it goes well. Any insight on whether academics are the reason Tate has decided to reopen his recruitment and attend JC...

DP was named coach of the year ?
'nut, yes, he was. NATIONAL Coach of the Year, adding onto his Big 12 Coach of the Year award.

Scroll up and see TPS's post about his resume, click the link. He's done nothing short of amazing things in two years in Austin.

Most of the coaches agents just used the Texas opening to get a raise. Paul Mainieri one of those. Easy money.
Not saying it wasn't a ploy to get a richer contract, but Mainieri went to Austin and interviewed for the job, according to one of the articles (linked) in this thread.

I was well aware of the other names thrown about, and followed it because I didn't want Tulane to lose Coach Pierce. I counted 5 that were mentioned as higher profile candidates than Pierce in the first article and 1 in the second. Many of those 6 never got to the interview stage (and we don't know ...

Congratulations are due his way but he is by no means off the hook expectations-wise. The pressure will continue to be on him until brings home a Natty or two. I have to say that on paper Ohio State lines up favorably against the Wave. Time for another cocktail.
I predict the Wave will be a skinny 41.5 point underdog. We'll be underdogs (but not like this) in the majority of our games..

Wow, in wake of the uncertainty there, that's great. (Or did I miss MSU naming a new baseball staff?) Yes D , they hired the Indiana coach the day after they were eliminated from the CWS, You somehow missed the "discussion" about whether MSU was an elite program or not. Now that you mention it, I d...
