Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

What you're saying is generally true. I think Robert misspoke and he meant that most of the bets are coming in on OU, not most of the money. There is such a thing as reverse line movement, where the amount of money bet on a side and the number of bets made on a side are moving in opposite direction...

Re: Army Game Thread

“A lot of people see the triple option only once a year, so that’s an advantage for us,” safety Roderic Teamer said. “We get to have that prior game to know what it’s like and how fast the tempo is.”

Re: For Sale...new weight room facility for Tulane

If the University started buying up these properties, another benefit would be voting in the neighborhood association. Own enough property and then vote to eliminate the NIMBY clauses w/r/t Yulman.

Re: Oklahoma 56 - Tulane 14

Anyone interested in Oklahoma -26 at Baylor this weekend? Line started at -27.5 and all the money is being bet on OU, but the spread went down. If all the money is being bet on OU, the spread would not have gone down, Robert. As we know very well, the spread moves in order to try to get as much mon...

Do you believe this topic now has 76 pages; 89,339 views; and 1,881 replies; all for our "dud" former quarterback, Tanner Lee?! :P Imagine what it would be if jj hadn't bailed. LMAO! It (the # of pages in this thread) would be at least doubled. I miss JJ. Yes, oftentimes his posts would s...

Re: Tanner Lee

As for Lee’s future, LaMothe said, “If you’re looking for a pocket quarterback, a pro-style quarterback, he’s got the tools. He’s got all of the tangibles and the intangibles. He has a strong arm, probably the strongest arm of any kid I’ve coached (in 17 years). He has a great pocket presence. He c...

Re: Army Game Thread

I'm really sick of people who watched 4 years of what CJ did to this program and yet still believe it can be completely turned around in 15 games. Can you imagine what we would have looked like Saturday if CJ and Eric Price were still in charge? We'd have been looking at 77-0 or worse, no offense w...

Re: Things I hope for next week...

I hope certain people open their eyes and see that Army is better than Navy at this juncture. It's been a long time since anyone could say that and be taken seriously. This is not your Army team of the last 20-30 years. It's much better, and after a beating at Ohio State, much like we took at OU (th...

Re: Tanner Lee

Well, my assessment of Lee hasn't changed despite the change in scenery and upgrade in overall offensive help: he throws a pretty ball, but the nuances of quarterbacking is something that he probably will not master. He's similar to JP Losman in that both can spin the ball, but the other intangible...

Re: Oklahoma GameDay Thread

I'll be disappointed if we fall apart late in the game like we did in some of our games at Duke and GaTech over the last few years. We've acquitted ourselves well to this point, but if the score gets ridiculous it means nothing to the public perception of the progam.

Keep it up, boys.

Before today the line had continued to be bad. They are playing better today . Pay attention though as even their announcers have remarked how good of a job our backs do of getting yards after getting contacted in the backfield. We are playing our QB who is by far the best we have at running the ba...

Re: Oklahoma GameDay Thread

Anyone who thinks we have the worst offensive line in D1 please pay attention to this game. This is one of the best teams in the nation, and we're not just scheming them, we're opening holes, zone blocking and doing what we have to do.

Re: Tanner Lee

In his college career, Tanner now has an equal number of TD's and INTs (unless I'm off one and he has one more INT than TD.) And there were at least 3 or 4 passes that were dropped by NIU defenders, two of which couldn't have hit the NIU player any more squarely in the hands. Until he learns to stop...

Watch Memphis/UCLA great game...so far. If I wanted to watch with the sound off, I would consider. But the woman commentator sounds just like the woman that butchered the MNF broadcast of the Broncos v Chargers game this past week. Re: Tanner Lee

No doubt, Robert. His first possession of 2nd half he threw an ill advised pass on 3rd and 7 that would have been an easy pick had it not been just out of bounds. Yes, he was hit on the play, but he wound up with a big delivery and tried to force something that wasn't there. The ball is NOT quick ou...

Re: Tanner Lee

Northern Illinois is not a bad team. Tanner looks good on some playes, horrible on others. He holds the ball too long, throws late and puts his receivers in bad situations as a result. I didn't see the first two pick 6's, but he also got sacked, stripped and almost had the fumble returned for a TD o...

Schools that are a lot less expensive than Tulane give out aid as well. We don't have a monopoly on financial assistance. My daughters cost of attending UCF is about $11K/ yr and it has allowed her to create a major between disciplines of education and management. Yes, she's in-state, but they gave...

Re: Revised 2017 American football schedules

UMass is the loser in all of this. Unless I'm reading it wrong, they lose a game this year, so the AAC can have their full conference slate. I think UMass is lobbying to get invited into the conference. It would be great for UConn to have UMass in the conference. They were once serious rivals in the...

guys....endowments have everything to do with this. dont let anyone else tell you they dont, regardless of what they say the equation is. If you don't believe it, then keep trying to figure out how we go backwards every decade or so. Hence the reason why all the privates with 3B$ are all top 25 and...

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

I agree, but I also think that Fritz, if he had the right players in place, would much rather have a split that approaches 50/50. One of his years at Sam Houston State his offense was very close to 50/50 and they went to the FCS championship game.

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

It looks like officials cost Tulane a chance at winning the game. Granted, the offense wasn't that productive after Banks left, but there was still a chance that was lost. http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/sports/tulane/article_7f12cbd6-9741-11e7-a338-8bf631c4abc3.html The offense did very lit...
