Fordham is picked to finish at or near the bottom of the A-10. We should continue our streak of blowouts. They haven't been very good since Digger Phelps left.

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

80-53 Final. Dunleavy got Riley Conroy a minute playing time at the end. Although CSU had problems with a lid on the basket, particularly in the first half, I was encouraged that we played better D. We do have a tendency to heave up a three regardless of how much time is left on the shot clock. If w...

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

We absolutely must put this game in the win column. How many programs can claim to have won the first NCAA Basketball program played in a specific country?

17-2 at second media break!

Anyone that think Fogelman is a HS gym should look at the arena they're playing in Jamaica. I think Tulane has an advantage because we're used to playing in a small, empty gym!

Tulane up 9-2 at first media break. Cam Reynolds down with apparent twisted ankle. Hope it's not serious.

Re: Colorado State Game Thread

If the LSU game was the most fun of this young season, the Colorado St. game will be the most interesting and revelatory. On a neutral court against a decent team, if we perform well (or *gasp* win comfortably) that would bode very well for the year. #RollWave Agreed. This isn't a top 25 team, but ...

Re: Fall Ball Baseball

Chainman, you know better since you're there and I'm just reading, but I'd think Gozzo is a safe bet to keep his starting job at shortstop. It would mean a whole lot to this team to have Massey return to form. I seem to remember his summer league stats to be very pedestrian, though.

Re: Houston Score Prediction Thread

I hope to hell that this team comes out fired up to give the Seniors a W on Senior day. And I do think Houston is beatable. Play a relatively clean game and we'll win. But we're just not a very good team, and make too many boneheaded plays. I don't think I'll be able to watch this one, which may be ...

Re: Oh what could have been...

Woulda, shoulda, coulda. "You are what you're record says you are" (Bill Parcells). We were seriously outplayed by FIU, and asked a walk-on kicker to make his 4th field goal of the game (2x as many as we had made year to date) with the game on the line against Cincy. In other words, if you...

Re: Another QB commit.....

After watching his HUDL film, I was more impressed with his speed than his arm. Yes, he makes a lot of throws, but it's mostly to ridiculously wide open receivers. 3A football is good, not great in NC. But Fritz obviously likes what he sees, and I'll trust his judgement over my take from 3 or 4 minu...

Re: Another QB commit.....

According to 24/7 sports, Christian Daniels is rated WAY higher than Shegog, whom de-committed. Lindsey Scott is still on our radar, but he hasn't committed, although his other D1 offers at this point are New Mexico State and UTSA. He has interest in Oregon, Indiana and Missouri, but no offers from ...

Re: Basketball Conference Games - W Prediction

I picked 7-8 conference wins. We may have an NBA offense (which I dislike, as I hate the NBA) but we also have an NBA defense, in other words, very little D. This team has a tendency to heave up a 3 way too early in the shot clock and doesn't threaten the rim nearly enough. We're a big team, but don...

Re: LIU Brooklyn Game Thread

Ok, it's 52-38 at the half. I'll take it. It's a lot more fun to watch when some of the 3 pointers start falling. But this will get us KILLED in the AAC if we continue to run and chuck 3 point shots. I liked how we started to work the ball down low later in the half, and even took a few shots away f...

Re: LIU Brooklyn Game Thread

Thus far it looks like the same lousy Tulane basketball team. Quick three point shots and not making any! 13-4 LIU. They do the little things, like box out and go hard to the hoop. The only difference is at least Dunleavy didn't wait until it was a 15 or 20 point deficit to call timeout. It's not ev...

Re: Miss State Baseball Recruiting

Who cares where it was ranked before the kids reported to class? Isn't it a whole lot more important to get the kids on campus and hopefully living up to their potential? I know Coach Rick Jones had one year a ways back that was a top ten, if not top 5 class that was decimated by defections to pro b...

Re: ECU Score Prediction Thread

ECU seems to be able to pass effectively. Our secondary is great when playing mediocre to bad QB's, we take advantage of bad throws and poor decisions. If ECU doesn't make those mistakes I see:

Re: MBB 2018 Early Signees

Hate to be the scrooge here but I am thoroughly unimpressed with this signing. I said it when he committed that I was hoping that this was a case where the kid committed without the knowledge of the coaching staff. I was wrong. I hope I am wrong as far as this kid being able to contribute and play ...
