Re: Tulane 21 - Army 17

Well, Cincy thinks they're just going to steamroll us. They're fans were trolling my twitter today during and after our game, saying we barely beat Army. Of course they don't want to talk about the 569 rushing yards and 42 points they gave up to Navy. And Navy took a knee inside the Cincy 10 at the...

Re: Tulane 21 - Army 17

Final: New Mexico 16, Tulsa 13. Tulsa is now 1-3 with their only win 66-42 over ULALA. And New Mexico runs an option offense also. I just watched the highlights, New Mexico looks a bit like us. And Tulsa plays Navy next week. I think Navy rolls. Tulsa comes in 1-4, battered and beleaguered. Didn't ...

Army guy was bobbling the ball. At that point, the Tulane guy made contact. Contact cannot be made until the ball is dropped, not bobbled. He still has the right to catch the ball.

Thanks for the explanation.

Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

Impossible to build a program when you're getting your teeth kicked in. Ole Miss and Georgia Tech are much better games than Oklahoma and Ohio State. No way the money we get is worth it. Tulane football badly needs some confidence. These games destroy confidence. Playing with Ole Miss to the wire w...

Re: Army Game Thread

Before the season I thought going 0-2 vs Navy and Army with close games was very possible and would probably end my serious interest in the season. I thought most likely we'd go 1-1 and consider going 2-0 as turning the corner. We played very close against Navy but too many mistakes to feel good abo...

Basketball Recruiting -- 2018

First commitment of the class. Moses Wood is a 6'8" Combo/SF out of Reno. He's ranked 3 star by ESPN and 247. He also has offers from Hofstra and LaSalle. His Dad played in the NBA. I would have to believe this was a Doug Stewart recruit.

Re: Army Game Thread

Not that it proves anything, yet, but the major omission of the WF discussion is that, unlike his predecessors, he has won as head coach at every previous gig. Again, nothing is proven but it should be noted. You are absolutely correct. This is exactly why I thought we would have at least seen a fe...

Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

Well, get ready for the game so many of you wanted to see. This. I still support the philosophy of not scheduling elite P5s other than LSU. Games against other Big 12 teams such as Iowa State, Kansas, West Virginia, Texas Tech, and even Kansas State would all have been far more interesting plus it'...

SMU would be a good rival on paper but I can't really get too excited about that, same with Tulsa. Let's just beat Oklahoma this weekend and that'll be a good rival.

Re: Benson-LSU End Game

Apparently Dannen is on board with LSU in New Orleans... Speaking at the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club meeting Tuesday at Rock ‘n’ Bowl, Ausberry indicated a return to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome could happen in the next five years. “We’re looking probably at 2022,” said Aus...

Re: Navy Score Prediction Thread

Banks and receivers gonna need to get their timing down this week. Navy looked susceptible to deep balls from the FAU game. It's gonna come down to our efficiency in our passing game and being able to stop their runs. I think it's close the whole game, maybe Tulane up 10 points at one point, then Na...
