Re: 2020 football recruiting

I know it's still very much early in the game but I was wondering if this might end up being a historic draft class. In my short decade as a fan, the highest rated classes have been 2012 (83) and 2018 (70), would be incredible to see WF pull off a top 50/60 draft class one day......that'd be low p5 ...

Re: Jonathan "Adam" Chaney - 3* ILB Commits

Look at the other schools he had on his list. Obviously academics means something to him, with Ole Miss, Duke and Vandy. Guess that's why he chose us over the football factory upriver. Agreed. That's one of the best written commitment tweets I've seen in a long time. No spelling errors, no grammati...

Re: When it's Hot and U have lot's of $$$$

That would be news to the 70,000 who pack the Dome for Saints games and to the fans of other NFL teams who pack their stadiums. As to the Rangers it's rare for a baseball team to build a stadium to hold 50,000. In fact I think most probably don't even go to 40,000. They overbuilt and now they are c...

Re: New Football Recruit 4 Star OL

Interesting....he was ranked 276 in his initial 24/7 assessment and ended up 1800. I guess we'll see how much that was due to him picking a g5.

Is he eligible to play immediately?

TD has said several times and it has been reported through other sources we have tried several LSU favorable scheduling options in all sports. . . Alleva wasnt interested. Anyone know what the OOC will look like for this quickly improving squad?

SMU v Vandy announced, wish we could schedule like them:
Georgetown, UNLV, Georgia, and Vanderbilt

Re: Ranking the Basketball programs in AAC

A few remarks: This is strictly comparing us only to our league. Our league is strong- a power conference/high major with the big east. With our new stature and funding we will improve. We also have better natural resources fans and intangibles to place us in the middle of the conference. You can t...

Hunter is the hype man that Tulane basketball needs. We have a great conference, great facilities, and a campus/city that sells itself. Now we finally have the hype man to bring confidence to recruits/fans that this is a place for ballers. I'm excited for the future!

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Ron Hunter is a name that keeps getting mentioned around the internet. He would be an interesting hire- not a splashy or a sexy hire, but I would feel confident he would have us competitive. Checks off a lot of boxes. Sustained success, running a program with minimal resources and without a strong ...

Re: Mike Dunleavy is now worst of the worst

I would not be surprised if Aresco calls Dannen after the season, and strongly suggests that something needs to be done. Good point. The team is so bad that it's dragging the conference down, and if we start winning a few games, it would hurt the poor team that caught us on the wrong night more tha...

Re: McCleskey is aboard

There's certainly good reason for optimism for next season. It's the fourth year for the staff so it's their team and their culture now. We have our starting QB back. If Hall is as good as most of us think he will be we should see McMillan make a nice jump in production. He's have a host of good ba...

B+ seems too high for me, B- more like. Win 1 out of Wake/UAB/SMU get to solid B, 2 wins gets to B+, win all three and we’re at A-.

Applewhite is Houston's Scelfo. Glad Houston's Renu Khator has the balls that Cowen doesn't. We need Houston, UCF, UCONN, Temple, USF to continue to grow as flagships if we're ever to close to the Big12/Pac in terms of stature.

There are some pieces on this roster. Time to bring someone in who can land some bigman talent and get this team to respectability. Get someone young and hungry or at least a Brian Gregory/Joe Dooley.

Re: Tulane Whips ULL 41-24 In The Cure Bowl

We're not losing any RBs, so technically there should be another one. Unless our official starting lineup is 3 WR, 1 TE and 1 RB. If so, considering one of the WRs was Clewis who was MIA for almost the entire two years he was here, and his replacement should be Jalen McCleskey, I figure that's like...

Anyone wanna come up with a list of starters coming back?
Offense:

McMillan
Bradwell
Mooney
Dublin
Claybrook

Defense:

Sample
P.Johnson
Williams
J. Johnson
Moody
Monroe
Hall
Harper

ST':

Glover
Jones-Returner
so 3 new starters on the O-line? Good thing we got a new OC.

Greg Schiano rumored to be a top candidate. Could be a great fit. I mean winning 5 bowls at Rutgers is quite the achievement.

Crazy to think Temple has had 3 coaches poached in 7 years! If Temple can create that kind of environment for success surely we can too.
