Re: Memphis Game 2 Thread

Just watched the highlights/replay. One thing I like about this frustrating season is that Dunleavy can coach and keep kids playing tough at the end of the game. We've had countless games where we make runs in the waning minutes.

With so much of the class coming on the defensive side of the ball, it's gonna be interesting to see if a see-saw effect develops for next year, with a huge offensive class in 19

Saw this tweet from Crabtree's Prep School teammate: https://twitter.com/Trey5mac_/status/957341683598979074 Trey McGowens is a solid 4 star, rated .9586 on 247. He's got 10/15 impressive offers from perennial tourny teams. Getting Crabtree to then get McGowens would be a master stroke for Dunleavy...

Big visit over the weekend: One of the top available defensive linemen in the South has set a pair of visits, a source tells 247Sports. Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier senior Alfred Thomas, the No. 21 overall prospect in the Yellowhammer State per 247Sports, will head to Tulane for his next official visit....

Highly rated Punter, Kicker, and D-linemen. I don't how successful we'll be this year but I really like the way 2019 and beyond are lining up!

Farewell, Lubbock, and hopefully, Hello, New Orleans! as Mack Davis once sang.." The best sigh I've ever seen... is Lubbock in the rear view mirror'...of course Mack sang the song lyrics I wake up to each day "Can't wait to get up in the mornin'...cause I get better lookin' everyday' He a...

Re: Embarrassing Home Loss to USF

ECU, a team that lost to Radford, Central Connecticut, North Carolina A&T, and Charlotte, was able to beat USF twice! Once by 38 points! ECU is ranked 276 and was able to take care of USF TWICE!!! I had hopes we might sneak into the NIT or at least be on the bubble. That hope is dashed. Done wat...

Re: USF Game Thread

Honestly if we lose any of the USF/ECU games the whole season will go down 2 letter grades. It's great to inconsistently win upset games but if you're inconsistent against sh*t teams, none of it matters. Building a program >>>>> quick big wins.

247 says Illinois pulled his scholarship offer a month after he committed. Also no other "offers" other than us and Illinois. Seems very strange for the 31st best dual QB.

So the incoming punter is probably 4th on the depth chart then? I know we have a couple walk ons but the punter is "6'3 240".

Re: Keller Chryst Graduate Transfer QB

He's leaving Stanford because he's the #2. I doubt he's gonna go to a lesser football school to be the #2, in a system that doesn't really fit him. He's eligible immediately. He's looking for somewhere he'll compete with a freshman, not a returning starting QB.

As soon as Merritt chose Arkansas State I knew this was over. I'm biased being from Saint Louis but I don't get the digs at Mizzou. Not a blue blood but they've been highly competitive in Big8/12/SEC school for the last 20 years. Had a number 1 ranking in 2007.... They've played in the SEC title gam...

No Merritt means no Scott I'm guessing. Also no lewis jr or travon King, who picked temple this weekend. Striking out on a lot of higher end talent that would've put this class over the top.

Not great.

Anthony Lewis Jr, 6'4 225lb TE out of Mobile who was high on Tulane for a long while announced today he'll be heading to Troy. This is seriously confusing to me. Sure is a wild conference this year! Hopefully we can end our Jekyll and Hyde routine sooner rather than later.
