Re: Next Wave of Re-Alignment

We were part of the best opening weekend triple header since 2017: https://twitter.com/ESPNPR/status/1434601841304690694 And you really are going to tell me that Tulane helped at all in moving the needle?   OK. I'll bite. Sure Tulane helped move the needle. The ABC graphic says &quo...

Re: Oklahoma Game Thread

A further last minute eastward shift can typically be expected of hurricane landfalls--the counterclockwise rotation starts to run into resistance from the land mass, shifting the eye slightly eastward. Correct Houston, as I well remember from Nash Roberts days. So I wonder why people who build &qu...

Re: Is Tulane the Sleeper AAC contender ?

How about contending for a conference title? Better than mediocre! Or finishing over .500 in the conference a few times? Yes, that is mediocre. Winning games you're supposed to win and eliminating a propensity to snatch defeat from jaws of victory. No, that is relativism, but nice to achieve. Or bei...

Re: Is Tulane the Sleeper AAC contender ?

It might be, if Willie can have the team ready to play a full 60 minutes, once a week for twelve weeks. In my mind that may well be the biggest “if” of the pre- season analyses and discussion. A big plus 1. Last year we left at least 3 games on the table because we couldn't play a complete 60 minut...

"And the Wave rushed for 437 yards, the most since a 407 yard outing against VMI way back in 1973. It was the third most rushing yards in school history."

WOW!! As said earlier, no editor any more.

You boys still think Wake Forest is so bad they won't win another game? I have no interest in them, but can appreciate their team even though Tulane played them close.

I haven't seen their schedule but I can't see Wake winning another game this year. They are terrible. They shouldn't have won Thursday.

That's a bet I would take in a heartbeat, Calhoun.

No chance on him. We need to bring in three star players. Disappointed so far in our commitments to date. The early on commitments to Tulane have been in some cases untrustworthy like the Newman player who used it to betray Tulane with his father and get to a higher ranked team,Kansas god help him i...

Re: Southern Miss v Tulane this weekend at Turchin

Southern Miss took both games from Ole Miss and their RBI is approximately 56. Where is ours? Lost in the 200 range. They are a much more talented team than ours obviously; I hope that we can at least win one game of the series so they do not sweep us. So nice to be able to say your hope was realiz...

Just a quick note about what people "remember." The local newspaper article on UConn winning the MBB Championship was a national AP article that commented "UConn had been kicked out of the Big East." Maybe an interesting slant to the article, but not exactly how I remembered it.

Well, maybe candidates are being lined up now and through the Spring, but the position won't be filled before there is a new President.
