Re: UNO Game 3 Thread

Jewett should be fired. Period.

Swept by UNO in year 3 is unconscionable.

Re: Tulane pitching blows up again,UNO wins Game 2 15-10

I'm guessing that Bates was pulled because of the long top half of the 5th. However, in retrospect, he probably should have gone out for the 5th with a short leash...could not have been any worse. I cannot imagine how demoralizing it must be for the team to endure this degree of suck from the pitchi...

Re: Tulane Blows UNO Game 8-7

Our Warren Nolan RPI is now 114. Going to have to win the AAC tournament now. Too many bad loses already. If only, ya know, we could have hired, ya know, a guy from, ya know, a legit, ya know, school who can, ya know, deal with the schollie issues. Nice to see we r utilizing the precious land as pa...

Everybody take a deep breath, Solesky gave up 5 runs in 1.2 innings. That’s what happened.
What happened last Tuesday against the Cajuns? Cellucci just gave up a walkoff HR and that’s what happened?

2-2 week mid-season against 125+ RPI teams. Not gonna cut it for the postseason.

Re: ULL Game 2 Thread

If Tulane loses it is 110% on Jewett. Undisciplined coaching breeds undisciplined play. Game turned on combo of Neimann inexplicably throwing down to third and Jewett refusing to sac bunt.

Re: Tulane Whips ULL 7-3

Interesting take from the local rag. No mention of TU leaving 9 men on base. And Cantrelle continued his hot streak? He went 1-for-5 with 2 strikeouts. You’d swear ULL let that game slip away. In reality it was a fairly thorough beat down from start to finish. Sorry for the rant- just tired of the c...

Re: Tribute to Our Greenwave Basketball Team

If the only thing deemed constructive in handling this year's results is to smile and welcome Coach Dunleavy back after this abomination of a season, I choose to be destructive. He should be fired. No questions asked.

As for the players, I do applaud them for hustling to the bitter end.

His name is Troy Dannen (with an 'e', not an 'o') and football is one word. Also, please direct me to a program with TU's losing history that has the fan support you insist we should have. We were not selling out the Dome in '98 but TU saw average attendance increase by 10,000 fans per game over the...

Re: Will Hall to Troy?

Cajun, I will try to make this as simple as I can. First, you posted a tweet by a guy at ESPN who merely claims that Hall had "spoken to the school" - which does not mean he interviewed. Accordingly, I said that there were no reports that he interviewed, and I still have not seen any tweets/reports ...

Re: Will Hall to Troy?

Clearly, Troy seems to have interest. Just because it isn't/wasn't reciprocal interest, does not make it less relevant to whether he should be considered "highly sought after". Try to keep up, Cajun What are you talking about? Are there reports that Hall interviewed with Troy, or not? Or are you sa...

A lot of you are jumping to conclusions re Will Hall. No reports that he interviewed for the job. Chill out. I personally am excited to have a highly sought after OC, especially one who is motivated to kick as much ass as he can (leading our offense) to get a better gig. Except that there are repor...

$4.5M is over double their current assistant salary pool. Also, almost double the current highest salary pool in the AAC (Memphis). http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/football/assistant Also, at the risk of getting into yet another tit for tat re ULL, worth noting that the Cajuns’ salary pool ...

Re: Potential Men’s Basketball Coaches thread

Tulane has tried it from all angles from a coaching standpoint: 3 straight high major assistants (Clark, Finney, Dickerson), a sitting head coach from a low major (Conroy), and a coach with pro experience (Dunleavy). I don't know if there is one particular profile that would predict more success at...

Re: Step 1....Turn on Fax Machine

Is there any type of independent rating or assessment on how Tulane’s recruiting class compares to U LA LA’s and LA Tech? Being in the AAC and regularly on one of the ESPN channels Tulane should be getting the best players in this state after LSU. There is no reason why U LA LA and LA Tech should e...

Re: Line Closing Memphis 14.5 pts. > Tulane

Without question, it was Donnie Lewis Jr. and not Banks. Lewis was fired up on the field, and he carried on onto the sideline (the 4th down stop that led to Bradwell running it in from 25 yards out exactly 2 plays later - see 13:35 mark for the play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_0YutrmK94). HoustonWave, when will you acknowledge your mistake? Pathetic Wanting more than 5.57 points per quarter is a mistake—I don’t think so. Reading comprehension apparently isn’t your thing either. You accused Banks of throwing a fit on the sideline, which is provably false. That is despicable to accuse...

No they didn't. Banks was hurt but don't let facts get in the way of your agenda. Banks had a cramp, road the stationary bike a few minutes and was ready to return to the game. He through his fit because he didn’t go back in after he was fine. I suspect Banks will start against Cincy, he’ll either ...
