Re: AAC Baseball Tourney Thread

At Troy Dannen's last job, Northern Iowa, the baseball program was eliminated. I am concerned the same may be planned at Tulane. Not a chance. TD would get run out of town on a rail if he tried it. For the record the three coaches he’s hired in the men’s programs are now going for 7 straight losing...

Re: AAC Baseball Tourney Thread

The longer losing is tolerated the less desirable this job becomes. If candidates believe that the administration doesn’t care about the success of the baseball program you are not going to attract a decent candidate. Dannen has a serious decision to make regarding the 54 year step backwards we have...

They can't be paid and yes you can bet they signed waivers. Read the article above. It spits it out. Of course we all know the truth means nothing to you when it gets in the way of your agenda. Glad you agree. No liability policy required. Well dumber read the article. The players have to sign a wa...

Re: 31 losses (33 when TU gets eliminated)

So you really think the Alumni game Tulane took out a liability policy on each player?
Winwave wrong again. Over the years we’ve had many players come back and work out with the club. Lies and deception continue I see. And none were paid.

Has Ray Ona Embo opted out of the draft yet? Anyone know the deadline to do so? No. He’s looking more and more like he’s turning pro. Probably Europe if the NBA doesn’t work out. https://twitter.com/marcjspearsespn/status/999299954672787457 Wow. He’s never going to be drafted even next year. He nee...

The main difference in this lose was COACHING.
No other way around it.
Spinning it any different would be "fake news."

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

I guess Dannen needs a history lesson. Bennie Ellender got a 10 year extension once and was fired two years later. Tulane was on the hook for 8 years. Funny thing was Tulane kept sending him a check for years after he was paid off. No one at Tulane thought to investigate.

Re: Kansas fires it’s AD

This could get hairy for Tulane and Willie Fritz. Dannen gets a dream job and immediately hires Willie Fritz. Both get to go close to home and double their salaries. Dream job? And I'm sure he's KS' dream candidate. Whatever you have to tell yourself. Dannen would fit nicely there in that he wouldn...

No one was drafted last year. Zubia never came here. So no it wasn't a talented team.
You’re wrong. Ted Andrews and Corey Merrill were both drafted.
Andrews went to the White Sox and Merrill the Dodgers.
Thanks for setting the record straight.

Pierce recruited Spoon and Zubia and both will be drafted. Zubia just decided to follow him to Texas. No way in hell does Pierce start last year 3-12.
One player that came here. Not a team.

In simple terms: Pierce was a great hire. Jewett was not. He left for a dream job not because of Tulane. If Jewett loses next year he’ll be leaving because of Tulane.

Gee maybe if Jewett had Owens and Bogey he’d win also. He’s responsible for getting talent last I checked. More excuses for a team that has been excellent in finding ways to lose. The talent is better than the results we’re been getting. For Christ sake we haven’t been this bad in 54 years.

I also saw those highlights. I thought I was watching LeBron playing in an NBA All Star game. He defended, he hit 3’s, had a windmill highlight dunk and an Anthony Davis like alley-opp slam way above the rim.

Re: Bought Short

Ohio State bought us short: close-by neighbor Akron is getting $1,800,000 fortheir game in Columbus, as is Buffalo. Why did our AD sell us short for only $1,500.000 ? Our deal was done 2 years ago. So expect inflation. This article says north of $1.5 million. https://wgno.com/2016/05/26/wave-of-dol...
