Re: The Perfect Season

I remember working out with JaJuan in the Summer of '99. It was the start of his senior year, and my freshman. He was the absolute nicest, and most sincere, guys I had ever met. He welcomed me, treated me as one of the team, and was just an all around genuine person. His brother Joey would join the ...

Re: The Perfect Season

I wasn't there for Bowden, but we were still at St. Paul's my next 2 years. Those Summer days were brutal, and the dorms at St. Paul's so depressing. But Coach Iosia definitely had us conditioned. It's too bad we had 3 weeks of 2-a-days, only ending the game week leading up to S. Miss. We never stoo...

Re: AAC Attempts at Power Status

Directly, winning has little to do with getting into the "P Club". The primary requirement for an individual school getting into a P conference is it's ability to generate revenue--from filling at least 40,000 seats each weekend, to attracting hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of TV viewers. ...

Re: Tulane Football Camp May 27th

I agree with all of what y'all are saying. Just sucks when our state of affairs is so bad that hosting a camp with a former rival is the best way to get better players on our campus. My hate for LSU clearly outweighs most rational thoughts...

Re: Tulane Football Camp May 27th

But we all know a good 90% of the kids at this camp are here for LSU. I don't know how accurate that figure is but if it is then that means we got nine times as many potential recruits on our campus for a visit. That is a good thing. It is then up to our staff to sell them on staying here. It's a w...

I hear what you are saying ajcalhoun, and I do agree. But we all know a good 90% of the kids at this camp are here for LSU.

I'm asking... does LSU host a camp in BR and invite Tulane?

Re: Football Recruiting -- 2019

"The Coaches were showing me some love" That's what recruiting has become. It really is nauseating the mentality of kids these days. And if this kid is healthy to have a breakout senior year we know there will be some P5 offers and then the tweet, " I am blessed to receive an offer from Missouri, K...

Re: Fritz Contract extension to 2023

I don't give two shits how many more points we scored under Fritz than CJ. We still had the same net result. Jesus, until Tulane and its fans starts demanding WINS, this mindset will never change. Why do you go to the game? To see us win. Losers quote stats. And until we win, we are losers. Bottom l...

Re: AAC Baseball Tourney Thread

Maybe I'm just not getting it. We gave up NINE walks in four innings. Aren't you taught from Little League days that if you want to be a pitcher, you have to be able to throw the ball over the plate? Either you can or you can't. If you can't, then how does the pitching coach have anything to do wit...
