Re: Tanner Lee

Mike Neu has special bond with this kid and has the passion to coach him up to be a good Qb. However, I believe that Lee is two or three years away from being ready to shine on a division I level. Instead of him wasting a year being a third string QB this season, (because he is not going to start o...

Re: Fritz offense

This same Oklahoma team went into West Virginia last year, which is a difficult place to play, and beat the 10th ranked Mountaineers 56-28. You people act like we just lost to ULaLa or something. +1. Season is way too early. I am disappointed though that WF didn't open up the offense more against N...

Re: Tanner Lee

Well, he hasn't bothered to respond to me. :) I did end up tweeting something similar to JJ and he didn't respond to that one either. There were some recent tweets how he was defending Lee's performance vs Oregon as if it was one bad game. I miss JJ's insight on this board but he was dead wrong on ...

LOL. The thought of tweeting he and Guerry Smith had crossed my mind.

Block will be blocked at least twice this Saturday. Like TPS, I think we can hang but imo, special teams will turn it into a blowout.

Re: Navy 23 - Tulane 21

We're better than last year because our QB play is better and our defense is still strong. I projected 6-6 so I think we'll get that. I'm not panicking over this loss though I thought we would win today. But too many mistakes on the road. Still we're better than last year. If anyone is questioning ...

Re: Players returning from injury..

Anyone watching the Tennesse/Georgia Tech game? The game is already over, Tennessee will lose because of the play of their d-line. There are head coaches and coordinators who have no experience at stopping the bone. Tennessee's coaching staff has lost this game. What game are you watching? It's a 7...

Re: Grambling GameDay Thread-Wave wins 43-14

I didn't get to catch most of the game due to issues with ESPN3 and I was at another game but from what I saw made me feel good about the season. Thank God we finally have a legit dual threat QB. Optimistic that we can beat Navy. Like Sader, I gave up my season tix this year. I'd be ok with the requ...

Re: Grambling Game thread

I do think this game will be fairly close. Anyone who thinks Grambling can't beat Tulane doesn't remember App St beating Michigan. I expect we will run roughshod over them but on the flip side their offense will make big plays and keep things tight. Our defense and secondary is somewhat overrated. W...

The passing game is alive: http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/sports/tulane/article_c44d0ac4-8533-11e7-bb15-af1ad5bc05cb.html After watching the film I'm surprised we aren't looking at him as a DT. We have some good O-Line commits and we definitely need to restock the D-Line. Good news to hear ...

Re: Practice Report - August 12

Sure. It's funny you mention last years recap. I thought about that myself this evening when reflecting on what I saw today and said to myself hey it's not the complete mess it was back then. The main reason is that the QB's look more capable. Hopefully the line continues to make strides in the nex...

Re: Practice Report - August 12

Thank you for the recap. Still sounds like we have some issues to resolve but doesn't sound quite as bad as your observations from last year around the same time. Good to hear Fritz is confident that the offense will be much more productive.

4-6 wins. Guardedly optimistic that we will run the ball very well and throw just well enough to keep defenses honest. Still weak in too many other areas.

Re: Fall Camp 2017

https://twitter.com/Guersmith/status/895699510692687873 That's good to hear but I'll wait to see it in games. I remember Toledo saying the same thing about one of his early classes. I'm like Steve in that it's the same story every year with so many young guys in the 2-deep. This is pretty much the ...

Re: The what if's of college football...Tulane in the conversation

This is a good listen. I'm not halfway through, but I think he WAY overplays how close we came to hiring Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh was never really interested in Tulane, he used us as leverage, if memory serves, to get the Stanford job. Agree. The salary Tulane was offering at the time was a joke. We ...
